it all depends on the qb we have. being in the sec would give us a better shot at signing a big time qb who wants to get exposure against the best defenses for nfl scouts. in a year like last year, we would've beat most of the sec east teams due to qb play. Whichever team gets the great qb has a chance to win in the sec. Even ole miss. Also, home and road is going to be much more crucial in the sec.

who will vote for him? he has alienated all of his supporters to appease republicans and republicans still think he is the deveil. i don't see him even getting the nomination.[Edited on September 7, 2011 at 6:54 PM. Reason : he has failed from every political perspective]

Oklahoma... Pacific?no playoffs & and complete disregard for geography... what's next, taking scholarships away?
9/12/2011 1:37:42 PM
bttt since ACC/Texas rumors keep coming up
9/13/2011 11:11:41 AM
lol what?
9/13/2011 11:13:40 AM
It has to do with their new cash cow network. If they goto the Pac-12/16 basically they would have to split the profits with everyone. The ACC pricing structure would allow them to keep their money. Their 3rd option being going independent in football.
9/13/2011 11:17:00 AM
On the one hand that would be huge for the ACCOn the other hand I don't want it to happen at all, unless it means we can dump Boston College.
9/13/2011 11:35:00 AM
Adding Texas to the ACC would be awesome for the conference, but is a pipe dream. Texas should just go independent and rake in $texas with their TV money.
9/13/2011 1:11:54 PM
I really hope there is room for us in "The Mighty Midwest"
9/13/2011 1:14:00 PM
Anyone else think it's hilarious that Texas and the Longhorn Network/ESPN are going to be what ruin the Big12? Their refusal to participate in revenue sharing (which is exactly what I would expect from Texas as both a university and as a state) is going to bite them hard. Meanwhile, the SEC, BIG10, and PAC 12 have revenue sharing and are the most successful conferences in the country. Every other school in the Big 12 saw what was up and got off the bus, and UT is gonna be standing on the corner with their dick in the wind. And I would hate for them to join the ACC. If you think we have it rough now with UNC getting all the goodies, just think how bad it would be if Texas joined. ACC needs some revenue re-structuring if it wants to remain stable[Edited on September 13, 2011 at 2:27 PM. Reason : ]

i think it'd be funny for texas to deprive unc of stuffespn "breaking" headline: texas wants to keep big12 together, oklahoma wants out[Edited on September 13, 2011 at 2:44 PM. Reason : ]
9/13/2011 2:32:14 PM
i don't know why anyone would want to add texas when they just single handedly killed a solid conference.
9/13/2011 3:54:59 PM
9/13/2011 4:02:51 PM
^I don't think they're as spoiled as some here believe, but a lot of people think they get away with more in the name of being the "flagship university of the ACC." The point I was trying to make is similar to ^^, which is to say that Texas's greed killed their conference, so I wouldn't want them doing the same to the ACC.

9/13/2011 5:38:27 PM
^which includes leaving before the house burns down...which is what they're doing.

NC State wont leave the ACC...way too many rivalries.Pitt, Cuse, Texas...who is the 4th?
9/16/2011 11:22:34 PM
hell if you are taking Pitt and Cuse might as well take Villanova or Georgetown
9/16/2011 11:24:26 PM
Villanova/Georgetown will have to join up with all of the non-football schools. Syracuse was actually supposed to get Virginia Tech's slot before the Virginia politicians leaned on UVA (who ended up casting the swing vote with Duke and UNC voting no).[Edited on September 16, 2011 at 11:28 PM. 9/16/2011 11:26:16 PM
if they take another big east school, id guess UConn over WVU, all I hear is how WVU isn't academically adequate, but I don't know anything about their academic rep.
9/16/2011 11:27:11 PM
Fuck it. Expansion is about the money, not the academics. WVU football >>>>> than UConn football dollar wise (and on the field for the most part too). Could you imagine an ACC championship game of UConn vs BC....in Miami? [Edited on September 17, 2011 at 12:12 AM. Reason : .]
