Nope, visiting friends. I lived in Alexander last semester and spent time with a lot of European people. So I was just in Paris, came to Lille today for a couple of days, and then head to Copenhagen/Sweden, hanging out with people who were at State in the fall. I do know at least one person from State who is studying in Lille this semester as well, so it's not all just Frenchies.

lille is an interesting city. it's huge, but doesn't really have that feel. i was always surprised at how few people spoke english...they just don't get as much tourism.

make sure to check out la grande place, the art museum, and the local sports teams if that's your thing. i really miss study abroad.

Turns out that one of the transit workers died in an accident two days ago, and they closed ALL public transit in the ENTIRE CITY...
