Hell, he'd be proud of CNN, too, but who cares about that, right?

^^ he wouldn't be proud of CNN b/c they are so low in the ratingsi think he would be most proud of the space program since it started by german scientists from Germany.[Edited on August 30, 2009 at 2:43 PM. Reason : . i always pronounce his name like gobbles it makes it more humurous.]

Why can't conservatives find commentators with some sort of intellectual base? Both Beck and Limbaugh have high school educations and have never held political office. Why should I believe they have some valid perspective on infinitely complex domestic and foreign policy issues?
8/30/2009 2:49:28 PM
^ 1) William F. Buckley - he's gone2) Bill Kristol - that's as close to an "intellectual" as they have currently, and the guy is still a joke
8/30/2009 7:20:32 PM
William Safire, George Will and Charles Krauthammer are farily well-respected conservative intellectuals.of course, the Beck/Limbaugh/Coulter worshipping moonbats like Burro, TKE<variant>, et. al. will probably start screeching that they are all liberal pantywaist traitors or some such shit.[Edited on August 31, 2009 at 1:50 AM. ^ whether you agree with his fascist political philosophy or not, Kristol is an extremely intelligent and influential intellectual behind the neo-conservative movement.you, on the other hand, are a fucking downy idiot, and you don't know a goddamned thing about anything. so kindly shut your fucking retard hole.[Edited on August 31, 2009 at 11:28 AM. Bill Kristol graduated magna cum laude from Harvard then later completed his PhD at the JFK School of Government.among other things, he's worked at policy level for Reagan and Bush, taught at U Penn and Harvard, architected the extremely successful attacks against the Clinton Admin's health care plans, co-founded the Project for the New American Century, and currently edits the influential neo-con bible, The Weekly Standard.Bill Kristol is the intellectual godfather of the neo-con movement. You may despise everything he stands for, but I don't think it's wise to call such an influential thinker a "clown"

Did Glen Beck really rape and murder a girl in 1990?http://www.reddit.com/r/reddit.com/comments/9gbdj/did_glen_beck_really%20_rape_and_murder_a_girl_in/
9/1/2009 10:08:59 PM
^^ that's fine, and he may be smart as hell. But as smart as he probably is, he is intellectually dishonest and consistently puts partisan hackery and talking points above good policy. I mean seriously, he thinks Sarah Palin is "brilliant"
9/1/2009 10:33:42 PM
^^I think he needed to come out and give a statement. Address the issue.
9/1/2009 11:07:39 PM

ok, he said of Palin quitting, it was a "brilliant political move"and these quotes..... come on. the guy's a joke
9/1/2009 11:45:25 PM
dude, those quotes were before mcCain picked her, before the infamous interviews, before Tina Fey.. by all accounts, Palin DID appear to be an outsider, a 'outside-the-box' reformer, energetic, a very attractive mother of five. Choosing her had the very real potential of a brilliant coup de grace.... she had real star potential and many Dems were scared.... until, of course, she imploded on the national stage.Kristol, if anything, is guilty of arrogance and poor judgement to push so hard for someone whom he'd "only met once". but if she hadn't turned out to be such a wilful idiot, her choice could have been a brilliant victory for McCain.as for her resignation, the jury is still out. Krisol is putting the best spin possible on it. it may well turn out to be a great move for the Palins, they can make $TEXAS, and still probably never lose her base. Its not like liberals or moderates are going to be any less inclined to vote for her. what does she really have to lose?i think theres two main reasons Kristol is still defending her. (1) she's really all the GOP has right now. They're not going to kick her to the curb just yet.... (2) i think he wants to bang her. badly.[Edited on September 2, 2009 at 12:10 AM. Reason : ]

Did Tina Fey really do that much damage to Palin's rep?
9/2/2009 8:55:52 AM
i think it played a part. millions of people who wouldn't have normally paid strict attention were watching repeats on YouTube.of course, if Sarah Palin would have just stuck to the scripts and quit trying to be such a mavericky maverick, SNL wouldn't have had so many opportunities to blast her.
9/2/2009 10:21:52 AM
^^ Palin did as much as anyone else to destroy her own reputation but they did a survey after the election and the overwhelming majority of those interviewed thought that Palin had made the "I can see Alaska from my house" comment.Yay informed electorate!
9/2/2009 1:23:40 PM
Why is the MSM protecting Glenn Beck?
9/2/2009 5:55:53 PM
If Glenn Beck truly has nothing to hide, then why won't he release the police statement clearing him of murdering and raping a girl in 1990?
9/2/2009 6:29:22 PM
"i can see Alaska from my house"?When would anyone have accused her of saying that?
9/2/2009 6:34:02 PM
Even with the cat out of the bag, Glenn Beck made no comment regarding the 1990 murder on his show this afternoon. If he has nothing to hide, why not put the rumors to rest?
9/2/2009 7:08:40 PM
^^ it was the gist of the jokes on SNL and the porno "Nailin' Palin" (from what I deduced from the trailer...) IIRC.
9/2/2009 7:18:35 PM
Palin, the one-term governor, was asked what foreign policy experience she would bring to the ticket. To which she replied that her being governor of Alaska, and her state's proximity to Russia, was her foreign policy experience
9/2/2009 11:53:43 PM
imus is at fox news now. good move on their part, i bet they got him cheap
9/3/2009 10:13:56 PM
^^ i knew about the foreign policy experince w/ being close to russia.I wasn't sure if the person was saying that she actually said "alaska," though. Cause that's what the post said.
9/3/2009 10:17:23 PM
Oh... wait, I see what you're saying now ... yeah, that doesnt make any sense. i think JCASHFAN made a typo. the gist of joke is so ingrained in my head, i didnt notice he mixed up Alaska and Russia.Obviously, the joke was, that she could "see Russia" from her house. Of course she never said those words, but it was illustrating her incredulity, as based on this interview:
9/3/2009 10:33:15 PM
COURIC: Explain to me why that enhances your foreign policy credentials.PALIN: It doesn't. But why should that stop we women from breaking that glass ceiling? I mean look at you. How did being the perky girl from the morning gossip show enhance your credentials to become the CBS Evening News anchor? Sure you're ratings are the worst of the three networks and even some cable channels...but the point is they're giving you a chance...with little reason. That's all I'm asking for Katie..a chance.[Edited on September 3, 2009 at 11:05 PM. Reason : ahh hindsight....]
9/3/2009 11:04:47 PM
you'd have to be giving Palin a lot of credit to come up with an answer like that.
9/3/2009 11:05:50 PM
^^ you just wrote that? you're a serious fanboy, arent you?
9/3/2009 11:10:06 PM

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1YzrsNRvYmI&feature=relatedaround the 3 minute markGlenn Beck cuts a video clip of obama and says that Obama said “judge me by who I associate with” which gets repeated and misquoted everywhere: http://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=obama+judge+me+associate+with&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8When the statement Obama ACTUALLY said was completely different that what Beck attributed to him, and didn’t mean at all what Beck was asserting it meant:
