After struggling in November and still remaining 2nd in the East, I think that is a very good sign. Now that our forwards are healthy again, we should see a return to the kind of hockey we were playing at the beginning of the season. The D worries me a lot, especially Wallin of late, but Seidenberg has really surprised me, and honestly I don't think he should ever be the healthy scratch.

I'm curious as to what people think of possible trades and when we might make one. I still have a feeling that we'll make a rather big one here soon...

Who goes? Kaberle? I doubt Wallin would waive his NTC. Commodore would be desired on the market, and I'd hate to lose him, but we need some help on the blueline in a bad way. You can't just chalk up our Nov performances to sub-par goaltending.

Unless its vinylbandit in net. Then I blame the goalie entirely.

I agree, Commodore has got to be a part of the discussion as much as we all may hate it. Kaberle is in the mix as well, but I'm not sure what his value is considering his salary and his recently play. The obvious one, though, is Ladd. I would assume that any big trade is going to somehow involve him. I'm thinking Ladd, Kaberle, and some sort of draft pick (which we certainly don't need to be giving up, but oh well).

I had heard they were trying to trade him for some time. At $2 million there's no way the Canes pick him up, although if he miraculously clears waivers and goes to the minors, the Pens would have to pay half of that salary in the event that someone claimed him on re-entry waivers. And quite frankly, in a situation where all the Canes forwards are healthy, there is simply no place for him in the lineup.
