5/13/2006 3:40:17 PM

5/13/2006 3:43:23 PM
2-0 is barely a lead
5/13/2006 3:43:36 PM
why aren't they playing the body more? they are shying away from hits, I guess trying to stay healthy for the next series?devs are taking it to them as far as checking goes
5/13/2006 3:49:28 PM
that last hit was sick
5/13/2006 3:50:06 PM
there is a lot of time left, but the canes better step up their game big time if they want to win this one
5/13/2006 3:52:23 PM

5/13/2006 3:57:38 PM
i would pull cam, just for this game, he has checked out
5/13/2006 3:57:56 PM
cant really blame him for 3-0, the team aint playing well at all
5/13/2006 3:58:16 PM
i understand that, but it just seems that he's not really into itthat last goal for instance, i mean yea it bounced off gomez's knee, but cam wasn't even in a reasonable position to block a potential tip, he was standing up in no man's land like the puck was in the other end of the rink[Edited on May 13, 2006 at 4:00 PM. Reason : i think the first goal rattled him a lot, and he hasn't recovered from it]
5/13/2006 3:59:26 PM
yeah seriously, you can't blame him for the first. and the second was a defensive breakdown, and this one just sucked ass
5/13/2006 3:59:34 PM
welp;
5/13/2006 4:00:49 PM
either the team wants to close this one out at home, or they'll come back
5/13/2006 4:01:09 PM
I definetly CAN blame him for the 2nd goal, that shot was from the blue line, he should've stopped itand the third I can blame him for not being in a reasonable position at all, the first one was bs, but that's what rattled him, if he lets a quick one go in the next period i would definetly sit him down for the rest of the gameit's ok though, the canes are still in really good shape overall (obviously)[Edited on May 13, 2006 at 4:04 PM. 5/13/2006 4:03:57 PM
I'm not saying he should've stopped the puck, and i realize your a goalie so i'm not really gonna question your perspective; however....imo he should've been in a much more athletic position when the puck came to the crease, it looked to me as if he was standing up (going after the puck), and he completely let go of his form. i think if it was a 0-0 game he would've stayed much lower, and cheated a little to the side that the shot was going to.it was a 2 on 1, i wouldn't have blamed him for A goal, but i'm blaming him for THAT goal. it was a straight shot from the blue line[Edited on May 13, 2006 at 4:07 PM. Reason : dlsjkf]
5/13/2006 4:06:57 PM
If you look at the replay, he caught an edge, which is why he didn't slide. No matter how straight the shot is (and it was from the circle, not the blue line), there's no changing that he had at least ten feet of lateral space to cover with absolutely no help.[Edited on May 13, 2006 at 4:09 PM. 5/13/2006 4:08:06 PM
Ha ha ha.Ha ha ha ha.....Okay. let me enjoy it while I can.
5/13/2006 4:09:26 PM
right, but can't catching an edge be a symptom of being a little rattled?he's obviously done a tremendous job in these playoffs, i think he is going to be a great goalie, i'm just saying i think the first bs goal has thrown him off his rocker a little bit, hopefully this intermission will give him time to balance it out
5/13/2006 4:09:49 PM
5/13/2006 4:10:01 PM
5/13/2006 4:12:38 PM
we will see if the canes have a chance in this game in the first 5 minutes of the second periodwe have been a come-back team all year, and I was ok going into the break down 2, but 3 goals down hurts an awful lot
5/13/2006 4:13:05 PM
^^that's true, the puck has been all over the place....anyway didn't really mean to start an argument, go canes
5/13/2006 4:14:13 PM
that hit they keep showing was so fucking far out of the play, what a horrible no call
5/13/2006 4:14:27 PM
I just got in from graduation festivities. At least the NBC dude called the refs out on that one play.
5/13/2006 4:14:45 PM
No worries, I know I'm defensive about that shit. For me, it boils down to the fact that if the d-man doesn't take away the pass on a 2-on-1, you've got a goaltender trying to defend against shots from two distinct angles, as well as a backdoor pass, and unless he gets a huge piece of the puck and then lets it trickle over the line, you can't put anything on him.On the third, there's not much you can do. If you play deep, you're leaving just as much net open for the initial shot as you are on a tip by playing higher, and common sense dictates that you have to play what is happening more than what might happen.
