this was against the best offense and qb in the country. don't get too caught up in how much we gave up. winston wasn't going to be denied and we still forced a lot of errors. their depth at dline was huge.

I'm normally pretty pessimistic but after Clemson I haven't seen anything out of the rest of the teams on our schedule to make me think we can't win the rest. I mean it's nc state so we probably go 6-6 or 7-5 but if we play like we did tonight 10-2 isn't impossible and it sounds crazy to even think that by how we looked the first few weeks

This is more a reflection on how bad the rest of the teams look to be fair

Super hype at the stadium. I felt like it died down a lot in the 3rd quarter. We had some really shitty music playing again int he 3rd and 4th. Nothing to get the crowd going.

They didn't have a mic on it - the only part picked up was when he told Brissett not to go anywhere because he wanted to talk to him - It was definitely all praise, though.

Also, apparently we're a terribly shit fan base for calling out the other team for faking injuries - or at the very least, insanely bullshit slow walk offs (I mean, even if you call it immediately before it happens, it's obviously just a coincidence)

i thought their walk offs were completely well timed and faked. Literally every time we were on a run and no-huddle they faked it an injury whenever we were nearing the red zone. every time. I was furious and could see them fake it because the player would stand up then lay down.

^^^soccer players may dive (ahem.....Italians), but they don't fake injuries. There's no incentive to fake an injury when you're limited to 3 subs, or when you have to play down a man until the injured player is ready to return.


I don't care for the booing, because you can't always tell if someone is faking it or not and it helps others label us as classless (we are, but I'd rather not make it so obvious). Anyway, I don't know what you do, other than possibly make the "injured" player sit out the rest of the quarter or the rest of the drive as a precaution or something.

They really need to cut that shit way out. It seriously contributed to the loss (momentum was always the only reason we play up well against highly ranked teams at Carter-Finley).

Yeah, the NCAA should look at instituting a 4-play minimum break for defensive players removed from the field for an injury. If the other team is in the no-huddle or hurry-up, increase that to 6.

Agree; I'll never boo, though the ODU and the FSU game really did appear to have fake injuries. But booing potentially injured players? No thanks.
