I think Nicks did get injured, but the severity is still unknown.

Nicks got injured but speculation is that it's just a bruised knee, it's not serious, he has some swelling, but should be back, looks to only be out next week.http://blogs.northjersey.com/blogs/trueblue/nicks_has_some_type_of_injury_with_his_knee/#When:16:19:04Z[Edited on September 13, 2011 at 2:14 PM. Is Mark Ingram going to do anything this year or should I drop him and handcuff Cadillac Williams to Stephen Jackson?
9/13/2011 2:17:12 PM
i wish you were in my league so i cold tell you to drop him and i could pick him up
9/13/2011 2:25:27 PM
For anyone with a bad or injured kicker, rumor is Nick Novak is the front-runner to replace Kaeding
9/13/2011 3:15:54 PM
^Would you consider Novak a better option than Alex Henery (PHI)?[Edited on September 13, 2011 at 3:21 PM. Reason : i've got a waiver in for henery since kaeding got hurt...]

anyone think that Garcon is worth keeping over any of the following:Early DoucetDevery Henderson (Colston and Moore are both injured)Davone BessDexter McCluster
9/13/2011 3:22:21 PM
^^ Just curious what your waiver position is? Is there enough teams that are in need of a kicker that you want to burn your waiver position? (of course if you are like 10/10 or 12/12 doesn't matter). Also, if your league has specific rules regarding waivers that would lead you to do this, please excuse my question, was just curious.
9/13/2011 3:24:34 PM
9/13/2011 3:26:37 PM
^^I'm 8/12 on waivers. Our waiver settings are pretty much standard...and ^, probably not. I think most, if not all, of those would be an upgrade of Garcon.[Edited on September 13, 2011 at 3:30 PM. Reason : ]
9/13/2011 3:29:45 PM
^Personally I wouldn't use a waiver claim this week on a kicker. The way I look at it, with the injuries suffered in Week 1 to skill positions, there is going to be a run on the likes of Sproles, Tate, Cadillac Williams, etc., which are only going to improve your waiver position for next week and the weeks to follow. But that is just my thought process, you of course can do as you like.
9/13/2011 3:33:00 PM
My league's waiver position resets each week, so if yours does the same then definitely grab a kicker. My league also allows you to make muliple waiver claims, so if you have position players you like, then I'd place them higher on the waiver priority
9/13/2011 3:35:34 PM
^ and ^^, yeah my waiver order resets weekly based on the standings (I thought that was standard, my fault).
9/13/2011 3:40:02 PM
^ then yeah use it on a kicker. One of my leagues uses a make your claim go to the back of line type deal.
9/13/2011 3:45:50 PM
Already put in a waiver for Jordy Nelson, or Henderson in exchange for Thomas Jones. My other two players I'm considering switching out are Garcon and Emmanuel Sanders. Are either of these worth keeping? I think Sanders has a big upside, but he will be very hit or miss week to week. Best waiver options are (my RBs are solid but I need WRs):J. NelsonD. HendersonDerrick MasonJacoby JonesNate BurlesonAnthony ArmstrongCJ SpillerDeji KarimAlso would you consider carrying two defenses, I have the Chargers but they play the Pats this week so I'm worried. Would you be more inclined to carry 2 Defs or drop the Chargers for another?[Edited on September 13, 2011 at 7:08 PM. Reason : .]
9/13/2011 7:07:18 PM
^ IMHO, Pierre Garcon is garbage and should be dropped in all formats. He couldn't produce consistently with Peyton Manning throwing to him and Austin Collie out last year. I hate his chances this year with Kerry Collins at the helm.Sanders has upside. I'd keep him until Antonio Brown clearly establishes himself as the better receiver.[Edited on September 13, 2011 at 8:18 PM. Reason : :][Edited on September 13, 2011 at 8:19 PM. Reason : .]
9/13/2011 8:12:47 PM
Should I burn my #1 waiver wire priority this week on either getting a backup QB (picking up Grossman, drop Collins), or get a better flex play (Dickson, Henderson, Doucet, Chandler, Fasano, F. Davis, Hartline, Heyward-Bey) in exchange for dropping Breaston? Or should I just stay put, or wait till waivers process, then pick up leftovers?
9/13/2011 8:16:43 PM
^^^I would carry two defenses before I dropped the Chargers defense. Also, I would look at Nate Burleson too, he's the #2 WR in a pass happy offense where Calvin Johnson gets doubleteamed often.^hold tight and save your priority, none of those names jump out as a must getApparently Marcedes Lewis is questionable this week, so I'm thinking about making some moves. I already have Jared Cook as a backup TE, but he was non-existent last week, so who would you pick up this week out of this group:Dustin Keller vs. JacJermaine Gresham @ DenFred Davis vs. AriHeath Miller vs. SeaEd Dickson @ Tenalso pick 2 RB:Rashard Mendenhall vs. SeaLegarrette Blount @ Min (supposedly he is going to get a lot more touches this week after only getting 5 last week)Ryan Mathews @ NECarnell Williams @ NYG (would need to claim him off waivers, which probably wont happen)finally, who would you start as your WR3Julio Jones vs. PhillyJacoby Ford @ BufJordy Nelson @ CarLance Moore vs. Chi[Edited on September 13, 2011 at 8:18 PM. ^ I remember reading good things about Fred Davis and Grossman's stats last year. Not sure what Cooley's status is right now, but you have to like the fact that the Panthers just threw for 400+ yards against the Cardinals. What's the fantasy value of Ben Tate right now? Can I do better than a shaky WR3? The guy with Arian Foster has Lance Moore, Mike Williams TB, and Jason Witten.[Edited on September 13, 2011 at 8:26 PM. Reason : :]

Would you start Cam Newton or Mark Sanchez for your #2 QB this week?
9/13/2011 9:43:07 PM
I'd go Sanchez...Newton is playing GB. His numbers will probably come down to earth a little.
9/13/2011 10:04:01 PM
Jesus my team is already in shambles- I have a good idea of what I'll do but here's the dillemma in ppr 12 team league:I have both Knowshon and Steven Jackson as my starting RBs. I'll probably handcuff Jackson with Caddy Williams assuming he has better receiving potential than McGahee and Knowshon is less (?) likely than Jackson to miss the entire season on an injury. Then hopefully I'll grab someone like sproles if available to replace Addai as 3rd RB. What would you do?
9/13/2011 10:20:50 PM
Jesus christ, people talking about using a waiver on a kicker? What the fuck.
9/13/2011 10:51:11 PM
OK, so I'm considering trading Tom Brady. The league is a 12 team ppr, you start 2 QBs, 3 WR, 2 RB, TE, W/R, and W/R/T, K, and DST.Obviously the starting 2 QB thing makes it a very unique league with some different challenges. I've got Brady and Aaron Rodgers. I'm also sitting on Vince Young as trade bait for when Vick gets injured and Charlie Whitehurst for when Tavaris Jackson gets benched in a couple of weeks.Problematically my WRs are kind of weak which can be a killer in this league with the number of slots you have to fill. Running back is ok with Mendenhall, LT, Mark Ingram, and Willis McGahee giving me a good #1 and then enough options to wrangle a decent #2 depending on matchups and fill a flex spot. Witten is my TE. Solid first two WRs with Miles Austin and Anquan Boldin, but after that things sort of fall apart at my 3rd WR and flex spots. Mike Williams (seattle), Pierre Garcon, James Jones, Steve Smith (philly), and Michael Crabtree round out the rest of my WRs.Would you consider trading Brady or Rodgers if you could get back a mid tier QB and a WR #1 and RB #2?Keepers are a consideration depending on round selected (this is my last year with Rodgers, Brady is not eligible as a keeper since he was taken in rd. 1).[Edited on September 13, 2011 at 11:49 PM. 9/13/2011 11:47:07 PM
yes.3 for 1...def.
9/14/2011 12:00:04 AM
No. Rodgers and Brady are so money. If you can play 2 top-3 QB's when 24 play each week, that's huge. It's okay to have weak WR3-5.
9/14/2011 12:06:47 AM
That's what won me the league 2 years ago (Rodgers and Manning) and... cost me the league last year. Rodgers and Romo had me undefeated through 6 weeks and then Romo's broken collar bone left me up shit creek. Yeah, you can be straight dominant with 2 stud QBs like I have, but with the way our scoring is structured a stud WR can be just as valuable though less consistent (Steve Smith actually outscored Brady in week 1).Thing is, next year I'll have neither of them so I'm really looking to get somebody who I can slot in at QB 2 for the next couple of years who has potential to grow. If I can't get that then I need to have at least have a couple of stud WRs or a stud WR and a stud RB in my pocket by the time the draft comes around next year.
9/14/2011 12:11:12 AM
Who is the better bench RB? Jonathan Stewart or James Starks?
9/14/2011 6:58:37 AM
Starks, 100%....he should take over the starting spot for the Packers at some point this season, and he is at no worse that a 50/50 split in the short term
9/14/2011 8:05:53 AM
9/14/2011 8:17:15 AM
At my flex spot:Meachem, Julio Jones, LT, or Marshawn Lynch?
9/14/2011 8:31:13 AM
Toss up between Meachem and LT, in my opinion. I'd say LT if Lance Moore plays for NO, and Meachem if he doesn't.
9/14/2011 8:35:45 AM
Ryan Matthews or James Starks?
9/14/2011 8:37:59 AM
^^^ Keller or Fred Davis, Mendenhall and Blount (he will get more than 5 carries this week), Nelson then Jones^^Meachem if your a gambling man (who knows where Brees will throw it), LT if you want a safe couple of points with low upside. Julio would be good if PPR^ They will both get about the same work in terms of carries, and I think they are similar talent level. The question is, who would you rather run on: the Panthers or the Pats?Who would you rather have for the year - Devery Henderson or Nate Burleson?[Edited on September 14, 2011 at 8:42 AM. Reason : .]

Start Cam vs. GB or Matt Ryan vs. Philadelphia this week?
9/14/2011 8:41:36 AM
^^Burleson^don't really like either one this week, but I'd go with Ryan. I think Cam comes down to earth vs. Packers D
9/14/2011 8:46:54 AM
^^^I'd say Burleson. As you said, NO WRs are a risky a play. No telling who Brees is gonna be targeting each week. And ^^, I'd go Ryan. I just wouldn't feel confident starting Newton, a rookie, against GB in the 2nd game of the year. But I don't think either are great plays...[Edited on September 14, 2011 at 8:48 AM.
