unc had a better season than us the same way we had a better season than unc football two years agoand no, osu/msu is not better than duke/marquette/fsu. their second win is better than ours but duke is way better than either of theirs and it was in conference

We now have 5 wins this season over teams projected to make the NCAAs and should have had a sixth if not for the UF miracle (Duke, Marquette, FSU, Clemson, and WF). What is our record against teams in the RPI top-50? I bet it looks better than some of these other bubble NCAA teams. Obviously we fucked ourselves losing 4 times between UVa and UNC and then dropping games like Arizona and Northwestern. Honestly this team was not that far away from being a NCAA bubble team if we were just more consistent. Sure you can probably say the same thing about many other teams, but we are not a big pile of steamy dog shit like the media thought we'd be. I'm actually pretty excited for next season seeing that we lose only Horner and Degand and bring in key backcourt pieces to what should be an very good front line. If you cannot rally around Sid now, go fuck yourself.[Edited on March 12, 2010 at 8:24 AM. Reason : Forgot Degand VV thanks]

I don't know Boozie, but I can tell you that ncstatetke definitely roots for NC State and was excited about the win last night just like all of you guys were.I am a Mets fan, as everyone knows, and I HATE the general manager and want him fired. That doesn't mean that I'm not THRILLED when the team does well and wins. It's perfectly rational to not like the coach and believe he is not the right person for the future but to also celebrate the team's successes. They are not mutually exclusive in the least and if the wins continue to pile up opinions are allowed to change.I'm sure most people will act like the opinions weren't justified and that anyone who has them is a "bad fan" but that could not be further from the truth IMO...
3/13/2010 12:57:09 PM
That was my dilemma with Herb in his final year. He was a solid-enough coach, but I finally accepted he wasn't going to take us to the places we all wanted to go (I'm not saying Sid is that coach either, but Herb was never going to be). Despite this, I was still happy as hell when we won. It's a weird predicament, but it's certainly possible to want success for your team while wanting a new coach.
3/13/2010 1:22:49 PM
another winning season!!! good coach IMO
3/13/2010 1:25:08 PM
look you cant win without players. and as you can see sid is bringin in some great talent including guys under the radar. everyone seems to forget we were picked to be last in the acc and really we have been much better than expected. the last two years were hard to watch because the team did not care and would not run back on d. this year im happy to say i see real effort and a team that cares. lets just see what happens when we have these big recruits playing.
3/13/2010 3:08:23 PM
ssly though, while the lack of talent may be Sid's fault, the fact that he has 19 wins and is in the semifinals of the ACC tournament with probably the worst group of talent in the conference is pretty damn good for this year
3/13/2010 4:58:01 PM
lesson #1 that needs to be given during the halftime speech:"DON'T SHOOT THE THREE!"

I have never in my life thought I would be more satisfied with a NIT win over the University of South Florida. Such an amazingly bullshit game but we somehow won it in the most ridiculous way possible. For that alone, I am happy with Sidney Lowe[Edited on March 16, 2010 at 10:10 PM. Reason : ]
