So the fuck up actually helps you, because this was a conference gameGood looking out, when Clemson rolls into Knoxville this week it will be a bloodbath

pttyndal whats the status on week 3, any chance we advance to night ?
7/27/2009 10:47:02 AM
we are waiting on apoc to play his game against GT

7/27/2009 10:51:56 AM
I don't think anyone wants to restart...We haven't played many user vs user games yet, when the scores will start to level out....We just need to make sure to schedule more difficult games for non conference in the future...the bad teams are really bad.
7/27/2009 10:57:00 AM
^I don't know about restarting (I'm worried a lot of people would lose motivation). I'd be OK with it, but I'd just worry about others in the league. But we do need to do something. I mean, I like winning, haha, BUT, I don't want to win games 57-3. My stats were realistic (other than the score), but it's just not fun winning like that. When you guys get a chance, check out this forum: http://www.operationsports.com/forums/ncaa-football-sliders/A lot of sliders have been tested on there and many have seemed to work pretty well.
7/27/2009 10:59:27 AM
^^ some of them have been bad, but not THAT bad... BYU? They are a top 25 team. Do they have a great defense? no, but does Florida State have that good of an offense to put up 57 on a top 25 team? no way. And 92 points? thats just retarded.
7/27/2009 11:04:37 AM
Well, BYU is a "top 25" team, but their rating is pretty poor. Their defense was a C+, which is worse than I think any ACC team's rating. EA doesn't really know how to incorporate good ratings to teams without much prestige (or team's than run a system well...)
7/27/2009 11:06:33 AM
^^ FSU is always overrated as fuck though. jesus. guess my blowout of the week held true too. LSU over UL-Lafayette 91-23. And I'll be advancing tonight with or without Apoc. I say maybe drop the human run block slider from 55 to 50 this week and see how it goes. We haven't really had any good competition to accurately gauge stats and difficulty but I think the run blocking is a little too high anyway. Looks like there are 3 user games this week Clemson @ UT, Miami @ VT, Ole Miss @ South Carolina and the competition is stepping up a little (Arkansas, Pitt, USF)[Edited on July 27, 2009 at 11:08 AM. 7/27/2009 11:07:41 AM
Also user skill plays a factor...LSU losing to Vandy is just as unrealistic as FSU trouncing BYUIts never going to be a perfect simulation when individuals are trying to do the best they can and not have the best real life simulation of what would actually occurClemson rolls into Knoxville this week....in real life they probably lose, but I'm not going to tank to best encapsulate the probable real life outcomeAs much as we're trying to maintain a modicum of real life accuracy , you can't have it both ways
7/27/2009 11:10:13 AM
Stop being such a fucking downer
7/27/2009 11:34:24 AM
I've had my best games on the Heisman. The most realistic anyhow...It's dumb getting 3 kickoff returns for TDs basically doing nothing but running straight up the gut. I'm also not a fan of getting thrown on for 500 yards... I imagine the sliders on AA make the human AI for players you are not controlling worse too.. but I may just suck on defense.
7/27/2009 11:43:37 AM
I'll have my game played before 6:30.
7/27/2009 12:41:26 PM
Yeah I mean it's not realistic but I wouldnt necessarily say its too easy (maybe because I suck) but I did lose to Vandy with LSU but then I took out my anger on ULL =)
7/27/2009 3:45:13 PM
Miami picks up their first win at home over GT, 27-12.VTech needs to recruit and everyone will be ready to advance.
7/27/2009 3:48:34 PM
^ now thats more like it...
7/27/2009 3:59:38 PM
where you at jfballer?
7/27/2009 5:52:46 PM
this cocksucker has been getting on my last nerveIf he doesn't do his shit by 8 o clock, lets not only sim it, lets throw him out of the fucking leaguenerve of that guy !
7/27/2009 6:01:36 PM
Lower human run blocking and lower CPU pass blocking. Not sure what the sacks are looking like but a little more pass rush would end the cpu airing it out so easily. If you move it up to Heisman, you better ramp up the human AI sliders. I couldn't get the play started without getting tackled as soon as the rb got the ball.[Edited on July 27, 2009 at 6:06 PM. 7/27/2009 6:05:43 PM
well, he has until I finish this game that i'm starting or I'm advancing anyways.
7/27/2009 7:38:38 PM
I talked with him earlier and I know he was going to knock out his recruiting when he got home from work -- that should be any minute now?
7/27/2009 8:10:11 PM
better hurry up.
7/27/2009 8:24:10 PM
jfballer, let know when you want to play tonight.
7/27/2009 8:28:23 PM
fuck this shit...lets advance
7/27/2009 8:37:47 PM
OK, he said you could simulate his recruiting. I called and he said it would be a bit before he got home. (He's set on auto-recruit). ^Anyway, he said he wanted to play his game later tonight, Apoc (around 10 or so).
7/27/2009 8:38:35 PM

I think the sliders are based on levels. I'm getting stuffed by A defense GT. I think they are fine
7/27/2009 9:26:14 PM
So, I just played an exhibition game with these sliders: http://www.operationsports.com/forums/ncaa-football-sliders/335629-phillyfan23s-heisman-sliders.htmlThey're on Heisman and it was one of the most realistic games I've played in a while. It was VERY, VERY challenging, but I didn't feel like there was ever any BS. And it was easily the most exciting game I've EVER played. Down 20-16 with two minutes left, I drove all the way down the field and had the ball on the one-yard line with 10 seconds left. With the clock running, they stopped me at the goal line and I called my final timeout with two seconds remaining. On the last play of the game, I ran the ball in with my RB for the win. When you get a chance, check out the reviews of what people say in the thread. It's been really well received (I modified it a little bit and set Human QB accuracy to 10). If we don't change this year, I say we go with these next year. Seemed very realistic. All of my players stats were realistic as well.

It will be interesting if we will be able to play the sc olemiss game. Jaybee when do you want to play. ^ what teams?
7/27/2009 9:52:07 PM

7/27/2009 10:02:36 PM
Why is it saying i didnt complete my game? i lost to gt 17-34, commish this is getting old? what do you want to do? play again or you sim
7/27/2009 10:10:31 PM
Wait until someone else signs on before you play again. I remember last season I played a few games where it didn't show I played until others logged on.
7/27/2009 10:16:46 PM
Apoc...I'm on Xbox/NCAA now...I'm cool to play whenever...Also, I want have access to my Xbox starting tomorrow and won't have access to it until Sunday...please to advance any weeks of the season that take place b/w now and then...
7/27/2009 10:17:30 PM
Wtf this means I've lost all the stats from the game too. Now I know how this feels
7/27/2009 10:17:47 PM
jballer, I'm getting on now. I have to recruit, then I'll send the invite.
7/27/2009 10:20:15 PM
I have logged in and out and nothing. What to do?
7/27/2009 10:20:32 PM
I logged off and back on and it's still showing it's unplayed. Try exiting the OD and coming back in. If it doesn't show up, I guess just replay itFinalArkansas 3#3 Alabama 31The #3 Crimson Tide dominated Arkansas 31-3 in their SEC season opener. The first quarter was a defensive battle with the teams exchanging kicks and a McElroy int halted a great Alabama drive. Alabama kicker Lane Tiffin missed a 20yd chipshot but the defense held strong, forcing the razorbacks to punt from their own endzone giving Bama great field position. This opportunity wasn't squandered and McElroy connected with Jones for a 14yd TD. The Tide special teams forced a fumble on the ensuing kick and cemented a 14-0 lead going into halftime. The razorbacks defense stifled the alabama running game for the first half but a mixture of HB dives, tosses and FB runs wore down the Arkansas defense in the 2nd half. Sophomore Mark Ingram's 51yd scamper on the opening drive of the 4th quarter destroyed any hopes of an Arkansas comeback.UP NEXT: 4-0 Alabama will make their first road trip of the season to Lexington, KY as they put their undefeated streak and top 3 ranking on the line in Commonwealth Stadium against a struggling Kentucky Wildcats. Despite a few struggles early on, No. 13 Florida State was able to move to 3-0 with a 31-13 win over No. 21 South Florida. Another strong defense effort from the Seminoles held the Bulls to six points until late in the fourth, when USF scored a touchdown against the 'Noles second-string defense.Without much of a rushing attacking, FSU's Christian Ponder led his team with an 11-of-16 performance for 198 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions. It was also a big weekend for the 'Noles as a lot of recruits were in town to see the 'Noles defeat its in-state opponent. The staff hopes the weekend will lead to a few commitments of some top prospects around the nation.FSUQB Christian Ponder - 11-of-16, 198 yards, 1 TD, 0 INTRB Jermaine Thomas - 20 carries, 45 yards, 1 TDFB Marcus Sims - 6 carries, 6 carries, 2 TDWR Bert Reed - 3 catches, 40 yardsTE Caz Piurowski - 2 catches, 94 yards, 1 TDSouth FloridaQB Matt Grothe - 19-of-29, 163 yards, 0 TD, 0 INTRB Mike Ford - 25 carries, 113 yardsWR Jessie Hester - 5 catches, 55 yardsFlorida State will travel to Boston College next week for its second ACC game of the season. And with the said, the ACC Atlantic Division is looking like it could be quite an interesting race.

have any of you been looking around to see if people are having these problems in other forums?
7/27/2009 11:22:38 PM
In mine and Apoc's game it hung up on retrieving dynasty info right after the game... that is when it uploads the stats...But then again it did the same thing for me after my CPU game vs Arkansas and the stats saved...
