so what would be the best way to going about getting tickets to this thing? the cheapest thing ive found on stub hub is $100. is that as good as it gets?[Edited on June 24, 2008 at 7:59 AM. Reason : ---]

Has gopack.com already done the single game away tickets yet? I checked a couple of weeks ago and they didn't have any single game tickets for sale yet.
6/24/2008 8:11:16 AM
^,^^....just go and scalp tickets. They will probably be right around 20 bucks a piece for upper level right before kickoff. Just make sure you bring some extra beer in case you can't get one. BTW here's what gopack has
6/24/2008 8:16:41 AM
^hmm, but when are they going on sale?
6/24/2008 8:57:20 AM
I just called the ticket office and was told that they were sold out and were never offered to the general public. I guess it's going to have to come from stub hub.
6/24/2008 9:20:28 AM
that's about what i figured.bummer!
6/24/2008 9:36:16 AM
A ticket to the Duke game for $40? Talk about price gauging. I'm pretty sure I've seen Duke football tickets advertised for $100 for season tickets. I would say you could buy season tickets, keep our game's ticket, and sell the rest, but who am I kidding. Nobody would buy those tickets anyway. Of course if you had a friend at each of the other schools Duke played at home that season, it might be worth it.
6/24/2008 10:05:58 AM
yea ive been thinking about going to the duke game. has anyone tried calling their ticket office? i wonder if they have something cheaper than whats up on stubhub.

what in hell? how'd i get to markus kuhn already? i have to stop doing those while drinking
6/25/2008 11:33:56 AM
couple of things....1) @ South Carolina game tickets- these are sold out through gopack as you had to buy season tickets to get the option of purchasing $45 tickets WHAT TO DO: I've been to a lot of games at Williams Brice (Clemson vs South Carolina) and even as that is the toughest ticket of the year there, I've always been able to get tickets. With this game being on a Thursday night, it is tough for people with work to make the trip when the game wont end until somwhere around 11pm. This makes it a good market for finding tickets outside the gate, and is exactly what I plan on doing. I'd say its a LOW risk of not getting a ticket2) @ Duke- these are some of the strangest games you could possibly attend. For one, Duke could care less about football, and it shows. Even Iron Duke season ticket holders who do not care to go to the games, dont even try to sell there tickets. Obviously all the extra tickets are sold to visiting teams as there is 0 demand for Duke fans. This makes it kind of "dog-eat-dog" when it comes to getting a ticket. The ratio of ticket sellers to visiting fans is about 1:100, so you really have to put the effort in to find a ticket, especially since you dont want to spend $40 on a face value ticket at the box office.WHAT TO DO: go looking for 1 single ticket and wait until kickoff, even if you are with a group. You've got to split up and each person look for a ticket. The odds are better. Look for ticket sellers on the road leading up to the stadium, rather than around the stadium grounds. Because there are so many visiting fans, you're more likely to find one away from the pack (mehe).3) @ Clemson- Death Valley is an enormous stadium, and although its generally packed out for most big games, there are always tickets available. BUT...if you want to be sneaky about it, here's what to do. If you are a student (or look like one...meaning, not a old guy)WHAT TO DO: find a clemson student willing to help you out ( this may require the temporary undonning of wolfpack attire). At Clemson, students receive basic looking tickets that can be used for re-entry. Upon your new Clemson friend entering the stadium, he/she can receive a RE-Entry stamp. If he/she can go in, and simply reach through the gate and transfer the stamp to your hand, you dont even need a ticket or a student ID to get in. Just show the stamp and you can walk right through. I've done that for the Clemson UNC game, the Clemson GT game on espn gameday, and last year's Clemson vs FSU home opener. Works like a charm. If you dont want to do that though, tickets are always available and drop in price as always closer to kickoff. TDK North (top deck north) and TDK South are seperate entrances and can only be entered through respective entrances, so plan accordingly.Go Pack[Edited on June 25, 2008 at 11:50 AM. Reason : .]
6/25/2008 11:49:16 AM
I hate that damn Top Deck North and Top Deck South crap at Clemson. What if I want to walk around the stadium some or go see a friend sitting on the other side. Plus when sitting in the upper decks, you've got to go up all those ramps. That's why I like Carter-Finley's design. One you can walk around the entire stadium. Two if you do sit in the upper deck the ramp is only what like 75 feet long. Three the lower deck is below ground level so you don't have to walk through a tunnel entrance to get to your seating, and no seating is taken up by those structures.
6/25/2008 12:28:07 PM
at least its not ECU's stadium....their stadium has so many levels of ramps and each incline is like 1 degree, which makes it like 100 back and forths. its hilariously patheticseriously....look at the amount of ramps needed to go 100ft up
6/25/2008 1:01:44 PM
meaningless bowl predictions!I might be missing something, but I don't see the Pack on Schlabach's list…but UNC AND ECU are on there...http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/columns/story?columnist=schlabach_mark&id=3458435Flying under the radar… alright!

I'll be home watch the SC game. But just got my 4 game mini pack, section 320 wooooo bleachers ftw!!
6/25/2008 2:07:04 PM
Bleacher creatures! I've never sat in those bleachers in the north endzone. I wonder how they are and what the crowd is like. It'd be pretty cool to take it over with a bunch of former students and make it rowdy like a second student section. I bet stomping on them can make a lot of noise. I'm still pissed that they changed the design and don't have the middle section that was in the original designs. If it was b/c the middle section would block part of the view of the big screen, then they could have just built it a couple of feet lower. It's already high as shit.
6/25/2008 2:24:35 PM
i'll be in vegas watching this game at a sportsbook, wearing red. gonna be hard to bet on the pack though...i hate betting on my teams^^^ the sad thing is UNC will probably make a bowl game. i hate to say it, but their schedule (and division) is almost too easy for them not to win at least 6 games. which will make it so much sweeter if they have another 4 win season, but i just don't see them being that awful. they'll win 6 or 7, be rolling on the hype machine and have people choosing them as an ACC champ darkhorse for next year, then butch will leave.[Edited on June 25, 2008 at 2:35 PM. Reason : .]
6/25/2008 2:27:13 PM
You can always use the approach some people take. Bet on the other team, but pull for the Pack. In essence a sorta win-win situation. If the Pack win, yay (even though you lose money). If the other team wins, yay you win money.
6/25/2008 2:31:26 PM
anyone going to this? I might make a trip
6/25/2008 2:32:01 PM
the SC game? ive been considering it, but it depends on how cheaply i can get a ticket... not really interested in scalping one.

woop! I just realized today at work that football starts in only 8 weeks.

why the hell are the tar heels getting football hype from schlabach??? he's predicting them in a bowl game?!?!?!anyone have a serious inquiry on why the tar heels would be projected to be good? and I mean serious, i'm sick of hearing "well espn sucks their dick blah blah"all this time i thought tar heels was just another word for faggot
6/26/2008 2:17:23 AM
the heels are getting hype for a bowl because their schedule is fucking cake. The whole Coastal side is ridiculous. I mean, we kicked the Coastal sides ass last year(UNC, Miami, UVA). I mean, in the Coastal, you have VT....then a drop to say GT/Miami/UVA and then a small drop to UNC.......and then DukeAtlantic you have Clemson, Wake Forest, FSU, Maryland, Boston College, NC State........thats a damn tough division
6/26/2008 2:28:03 AM
yea that makes sense but... ugh i dont know... they just looked terrible last year, i dont see where this drastic improvement idea is coming from
6/26/2008 2:30:14 AM
^they were young last year, they(by recruiting rankings) have some decent to good talent in/coming in, their schedule is shitty weak. I dunno....i mean, i think if they don't get to a bowl this year with the schedule they're facing, then they need some help.......but i dunno.
6/26/2008 2:43:28 AM
Their schedule really is a cake walk when compared to ours8-30-08 MCNEESE STATE - W (easy tune up game)9-11-08 at Rutgers (Thursday) - L (RU loses Rice, but have their QB and most everyone else coming back. UNC goes down to the Jersey scum.)9-20-08 VIRGINIA TECH - L (no explanation needed)9-27-08 at Miami FL - L (UM will be trying to pay them back for last year)10-4-08 CONNECTICUT - W (I'm still not convinced UConn wasn't just a flash in the pan last year.)10-11-08 NOTRE DAME - W (ND should show some improvement, but will probably still suck.)10-18-08 at Virginia - L (Even though UVA might suck this year I think the streak of UNC losing to UVA in Charlottesville continues. There have been times where lesser UVA teams went up against way better UNC teams and still kept the streak alive.)10-25-08 BOSTON COLLEGE - W (BC loses Ryan and too much in the secondary to stay as competitive as they have been in the past.)11-8-08 GEORGIA TECH - W (New system, coach, and QB for the Jackets does not bode well for them having their usual 7 win season.)11-15-08 at Maryland - L (If Turner is the QB then UMD will beat UNC.)11-22-08 NORTH CAROLINA STATE - L (TOB goes into Chapel Hill and beat Bitch Davis down. Visions of Dick Sheridan and his 6-1 record vs. the Holes dance in our heads.)11-29-08 at Duke - W (Duke might be improved, even though it probably won't show in their record. UNC will win this one by the skin of their teeth like they always do.)6-6, although I could easily see them winning the UVA and another game to get to 8-4. They have a pretty easy schedule overall. Bitch Davis has recruited some talent at the skill positions, but his o-line recruiting sucks. You can't win many games if your o-line sucks. Just ask Chuck Amato.
6/26/2008 8:05:07 AM
like i said, if you think BMFD has some hype behind the fairies now, wait till they win 6 or 7 games this year. he'll get $2mil raise and be talking about the Orange bowl. UNC wins 7 or 8 games this year they'll be in the preseason top 20 next year, no doubt.[Edited on June 26, 2008 at 9:03 AM. Reason : .]

i mean its just a bowl game prediction, and not a good one at that but... it is still just extremely undeserved and it just confuses me

^ While I don't agree with the majority of the posts on that board, I would say we haven't done enough yet to not deserve some of those. I look forward to our guys proving them wrong, but being I State fan, I wouldn't be surprised if we proved them right. At least nobody is predicting this to be our break out year. If we suck it up, we were supposed to. If not, we'll be the surprise team everybody was talking about. I expect somewhere in between. If we go 6 and 6 and beat Carolina, I'll consider this year to be a success.
