LOL at Zoubek.

I'm still waiting for a team(Like us or UNC) that will be able to pound the hell out of them down inside.

duke lacks inside scoring but i seriously doubt a k team lacks post defense. their freshmen class is crazy. easily 3 of the 4 best players on the team with henderson. smith is already getting pt over paulus.

Its going to be a heck of a three team conference...

Last year Zoubek seemed pretty good defensively.

But whenever he got the ball, instant turnover.

Yeah, but it's good to see the squad and hear predictions for the team this year.

The coach and player interviews usually aren't that bad.

After the 1st week of college backetball, there are currently 200 undefeated teams (started with 340 teams)

last year we had a thread for this. Not sure if we need to recreate it for this season. It was interesting to keep an eye on.

we should put that list in here and update it every week. wasn't it broken down by conference too?

gg by the Wolfpack womens team today

only gave up 29 points to UNCG

it's pretty hard to win a game when your # of turnovers is higher than your fieldgoal percentage (29 > 22)

I don't think the white guys really compare, that latest recruit looks shy and dorky but I doubt he's outgoing enough to be the charge taking/court pounding/chest bumping/getting fired up over nothing kind of player you see at Durham.

nc state 22nd in the new ESPN poll

i don't understand why ESPN can't do more HD basketball games.. I understand they have them all in use for football games but you would think one of the nearby trucks for any of these games could pick up one of them.. and once the season really gets going having only 1 game out of 8 or 9 on ESPN/ESPN2 in HD is pitiful.. fuck the NBA

Teams to take off of the undefeated list after tonight:

Central Michigan
Chattanooga
Wisconsin-Green Bay
Texas-San Antonio (even though they weren't on the list above)

Youngstown State will probably fall to UCLA as well.

Clemson will play @ Mississippi State on Thurs. on Fox Sports South at 8 pm. Mississippi State is projected by many to win the SEC West. They were in a few publication's pre-season Top 25 projections. Clemson won a very close game against Mississippi State last year at home early on in the season. This will be a good one to watch as it should be a close game and will also let us know if Clemson is for real or not.

Humphrey Coliseum where Mississippi State plays is an underrated venue and a very tough place to play. One of the toughest in the SEC. Nicknamed "The Hump", it seats 10,500. This will be a big test for Clemson. Let's hope they win for the ACC and our schedule.

Do any of you think Davidson may be in the others receiving votes in the next poll? Maybe even ranked Top 25 since they showed they could hang with the #1 team in the country despite poor shooting? Anyone think UCLA may leapfrog them for the #1 spot?

The Big XII didn't fair too well tonight. Bradley beat Iowa State, North Texas beat Oklahoma State, and Sam Houston State beat Texas Tech. Texas A&M had a tough game against UTEP but pulled it out.

davidson should not be top 25. they take terrible shots and miss layups. 2 man team. those 2 men are good but not enough to be top 25. if lawson played full minutes they lose by 10-15.

[Edited on November 15, 2007 at 1:35 AM. Reason : 0-1 shouldnt get you top 25.]

^ i would say losing by 15 is still better than what some other top 25 teams could do against carolina. you can also argue for those 8 easy points they should have had and say that the sloppy effort is due to it being their first game.

not sayin 0-1 should get u in, just sayin they probably deserve to be there more than some other teams based on how they were playing.

What do you mean "instant contender"? They've made 2 straight final fours, plus keep in mind Collison hasnt been playing so they'll be much better once they get him back.

im saying losing players and replacing them with freshmen and yet you are still #2 and predicted to make another final four run.

I just dont see it, i mean yes they still have their few players that hang around...but everyone thinks since Love came in they are automatically so great...I just dont see him being as good as touted.
