go Bobcats, w00t!
11/3/2007 6:02:59 PM
Nice to start the season with a win even if it was against a bad team at home. The real test is if we can beat a struggling Miami team on the road. We've gotta start winning games like that before we even think about being a potential playoff team.Just wanted to point out we will probably be the worst FT shooting team in the league. Okafor stinks, Wallace and Richardson stink, and Felton stinks for a guard. Those will be the four main guys getting to the line.
11/4/2007 1:33:37 PM
wallace just went down clutchin his knee...didnt go straight to the locker room though, so not sure how serious it is.
11/4/2007 6:46:38 PM
well it looks like he's fine, though he hasnt come back in yet. he's back in now, all is well.jrich with 14 points already, 4 three pointers so far in the first half.[Edited on November 4, 2007 at 6:58 PM. Reason : .]
11/4/2007 6:54:13 PM
damn18 at the half7 pt leadw00t
11/4/2007 7:12:47 PM
and 11/12 at the FT line
11/4/2007 7:14:10 PM
only thing that looks questionable about the current stats i see are the 11 turnovers
11/4/2007 7:41:08 PM
hold on now Cats
11/4/2007 7:53:20 PM
i think thats just a natural by-product of the new up-tempo system
11/4/2007 7:53:30 PM
richardson close to fouling out w/ ~5 min left28 pts though
11/4/2007 8:12:40 PM
classic choke job in the works
11/4/2007 8:19:03 PM
Does peyton manning play for the bobcats?
11/4/2007 8:20:23 PM
PATHETIC 4th quarter
11/4/2007 8:21:49 PM
looks like they got it now. what a ridiculous display of offense here in the 4th, but hopefully that'll get better with some games under their belt.
11/4/2007 8:29:31 PM
2-0
11/4/2007 8:32:15 PM
w00t!
11/4/2007 8:34:29 PM
richardson put it best when he said they slowed down and tried to play a halfcourt game, which isn't their styleand he's right, they looked completely inept during that stretchbut at least we're 2-0, even if it is against the bucks and a wade-less heat team
11/4/2007 8:40:15 PM
I really didnt know Ced got traded to the Cavs
11/4/2007 11:29:10 PM
terrible display.We're a 35-40 win team, period.
11/5/2007 12:03:24 AM
It's inconceivable that this team could improve, period. They should just start tanking right now and hope to get the #1 pick in 2008.
11/5/2007 12:07:20 AM
Well bad or not we are 2-0. Finding ways to win games like this are key to making something of a season. Is Morrison done for the year? May is already done for the year. Nice pick once again Bobcats.
11/5/2007 12:07:26 AM
wow, the optimism is great guys. obviously rally doesn't know what the shit he is talking about based on just about everything he has ever said, so....We're 2-0. We've struggled in the fourth and on free throws, but that doesn't mean we can't fix those things. As for our "Center" woes, that will be harder to fix. I say we win AT LEAST 40 games.
11/5/2007 9:13:04 AM
You have to think Phoenix will stomp us, but Amare sat out the other night when his knee acted up. If he doesn't play tomorrow, it could be closer than you think.
11/5/2007 9:33:31 AM
If Phoenix can't stomp us (w/ or w/out Amare), that team's got some splainen' to do.seriously though, they are loaded and shouldn't have lost to the Lakers.
11/5/2007 9:38:45 AM
i think Marion is playing like shit on purposeI think there will be a ton of points scored in what will be a very fast paced gamethe Suns can make a 16 point lead go away in a heartbeat so we cant screw around like we did with Miami and the Bucks
11/5/2007 10:20:18 AM
Marion is playing right on line with his career averages17 and 11, around 2 blocks and 2 steals per and over a three per game
11/5/2007 10:36:38 AM
i see the stats but watching that Lakers game the other night his body language suggested he wasnt into itit just looked like he wasnt trying to me
11/5/2007 10:43:03 AM
Well they were down 30It's hard to give a fuck when you're down 30
11/5/2007 10:44:40 AM
i didnt start watching at the end of the game thoughand i was jsut saying what i thought, seems like he could be pouting about all that trade crap
11/5/2007 10:50:40 AM
Our starting 5 can play with anybody (especially the 1-4 spots)Seriously we would be 0-2 if we had last year's team...the bright spot about no Morrison and no May for the season is no Morrison and no May for the season...Morrison pretty much sucked last year...May played in like 30 games last year so we're not missing a lotoh btw Brandan Wright has yet to play a single minute, whereas J-Rich is playing like an All Star
11/5/2007 1:14:00 PM
Im waiting on "That's Jared" Dudley to do something, i know hes not getting huge minutesi would have rather had May than Morrison this year though
11/5/2007 1:17:00 PM
Jermareo Davidson needs to get some PT...he looked real good in the one preseason game I saw him in...very athletic
11/5/2007 1:17:44 PM
he and Hollins can have a tall athletic guy dunk off
11/5/2007 1:18:48 PM
We beat two of the worst teams in the league so let's not start sucking each others dicks yet.I do like what I saw out of Hollins I think he could become a dependable backup center in the league.Richardson/Wallace combo is nice, Okafor a beast as usual, and Felton is off to a nice start.Other than that this team sucks nuts. Primoz is not only the worst starting center in the league he isn't probably one of the top 60 in the league. McInnis stinks. Hermann isn't getting minutes. Dudley may develop some but he looks pretty limited. Carroll isn't going to flourish without more minutes than he will get (again we should have signed Darko instead of Carroll). As I said, we're a ~35-40 win team if we stay relatively healthy. Playoffs just seem to be a stretch, the East is deep this year and we lack experience, skill, talent, and black guys who don't suck.
11/5/2007 7:21:12 PM
because its more enjoyable to not be excited about the season at least at this pointand yes we know when you are right you will quote yourself
11/5/2007 7:32:48 PM
I've hated on Primoz ever since I first saw him introduce himself on C-SET.Some math genius somewhere designed a formula indicating a players relative value on the court. It's more complicated that the NFL QB rating formula, so I won't explain it. But here are the league positional averages.- Point Guard: 0.132- Shooting Guard: 0.128- Small Forward: 0.152- Power Forward: 0.215- Center: 0.225Here are the Bobcats averagesRichardson: 0.194Felton: 0.208Wallace: 0.198Okafor: 0.355McInnis: 0.063Hollins: 0.267Carroll: 0.019Dudley: 0.208Brezec: -0.119Hermann: .100
11/5/2007 8:02:06 PM
did you get that shit off bobcats planeti saw his negative score earlier and lold
11/5/2007 8:03:18 PM
Yeah I'm the gunzz of that site
11/5/2007 8:05:23 PM
honestly, isn't having really good players at 1-4 enough to at least make the playoffs in the east? so what if the backups aren't stellar, they aren't stellar many other places either.....that why they're backups. i'll be disappointed if we don't get at least 45 wins this season
11/5/2007 8:28:34 PM
it seems like every team in the East added a West big dog to their roster
11/5/2007 8:39:36 PM
our starting 5 can play with anyone...and what great centers are in the east? howard...bosh...j. o'neal...and? ben wallace and ilgauskas? its not like we're in the west
11/5/2007 11:51:39 PM
I love the bobcats, but our 1-4 aren't that good. Certainly not good enough to make up for how shitty our center is.
11/6/2007 12:18:39 AM
name 8 teams in the east with better starting lineups...i'll start you offdetroitbostonwashingtonchicagoclevelandtoronto?its a long season but it is the eastern conference...boston upgraded...shaq is old and beatup...detroit is still solid...i dont see why we (barring injuries) dont have the talent to make the playoffs...if okafor hadnt been injured for ~12 games last year we might've snuck in the 8th spot, and j-rich is clearly a huge upgrade
11/6/2007 12:22:58 AM
Orlando and a healthy miami both have a better starting five than charlotte. THe knicks definitely have a more impressive starting 5 on paper even if the frontcourt can't guard anybody. I can't even say that Atlanta's starting five is worse with any sort of confidence.Felton is a good PG, though I think he'd fit better as a change of pace point guard that comes in with the second unit of a good team. He has trouble finishing in traffic and still can't hit outside shot like he needs to. But he is quick as fuck and can run the offense with great leadership.Richardson is a good scorer. Good size, but I don't think he is better than a rashard lewis or ricky davis. (just examples of borderline all star talents on the 7th and 8th team.....neither is the best player on his respective team)Wallace is good. I think he has suffered what should be called the Shawn Marion disorder....He has been called "underrated" so much that he has become overrated. He's a good player. Helluva athlete. I don't trust him shooting, but he's a great slasher. His Defense is good, the numbers are misleading. gambling on blocks and steals inflate his defensive image.Okafor-should probably start at center. plays good Defense. Will not get any better and has no offensive game. Do we even want to talk about the 5 spot?I want the bobcats to make the playoffs this year as much as the next guy. But this thread seems to be a little too excited about these four players.
11/6/2007 1:28:05 AM
I MIGHT go to the game on sunday night after the panthers game...do you think it will even be worth it? Or should I just go to the bar?
11/6/2007 2:13:46 AM
Go to the bar during the panthers game, but don't watch it...watch any other NFL game. Then go to the Bobcats game. You'll have a lot more fun this way.
11/6/2007 9:14:05 AM
^^^J-Rich isn't better than Ricky Davis? Are you kidding me?Falcons and Rockets games for me on Sunday
11/6/2007 9:44:56 AM
RIchardson is a better character guy. But his main skill is scoring the basketball from the wing. That's what Ricky Davis does and no Richardson isn't better than Davis at that.I'd still rather have Richardson on my team for obvious reasons.
11/6/2007 4:12:45 PM
cause he's better? i liked davis when he was a charlotte hornet in the headband days but when healthy i definitely think j-rich is betteryall think we can keep it close tonight? we're trying to be a running up tempo team this year and we're playing the masters of that style of ball...don't bet the under!
11/6/2007 4:20:36 PM
If Amare doesn't play we have a real chanceGot the good seats tonight, a few rows back behind the Phoenix bench. Trying to learn some Portuguese cuss words to mess with Barbosa.
