yeah i admit the sabres are playing like shit, but that doesn't mean im gonna kill myself, hey we are consistent, we make it the conference finals consistently, we lose consistently there, but we'll break out of it before the canes do anything consistently

I don't watch stick puck but I do know that one championship is far greater than umpteen conference finals appearances...You think Jim Kelley wouldn't trade three of superbowl losses to turn the 4th one into a win?????????

the sabres aren't the bills, who knows four straight isn't impossible, i'd rather be a good team every year and keep on improving then win once and disappear

you know what else is consistent...

every year when we look at the Stanley Cup until that band is retired, we'll be able to see the names of the 2005-2006 Stanley Cup Champions, the Carolina Hurricanes.

i guess you really don't know what that is like since you are a sabres fan.

when they start handing out rings for "AT LEAST WE ARE CONSISTENT" then you can celebrate that, at least

Yeah, making the Stanley Cup finals twice in five years and winning one sucks. I'd much rather get beat in the Eastern Conference finals every year. I like the Canes but I'm a Rangers fan first and your logic is dumb...

not too bad of a game to watch tonight even though there was only 1 goal...and it was fluky as shit. nice work by the entire Sens team for gettin the job done in front of the crease. Always nice to sit back from time to time and watch everyone else do the work :-)

Good point. Are the Maple Leafs even on the Stanley Cup Trophy anymore?

last i heard there was still another game and the series isn't over yet...

I am not getting into the negative until game 4, 3rd period, 6 minutes on the clock, until then, as far as I am concerned the winners are best of 7 and that hasn't happened yet.

Oh, by the way, I don't care what the history is when looking at this season- if hockey was the same each year why would I bother watching it?

I watched it "my little cabbage", and was a I pissed at them- yes, they aren't playing with heart and they look scared like they are afraid to get hit out there, but like I said, I am not giving up until the last 6 minutes of the third next game, if we look like shit at that time I will shed a single tear, get ripped drunk and make stupid mistakes with my life, possibly burn something.. who knows, it could get crazy, insane even... but I am holding out until that moment in the third for the flat-lining of my moral character to begin.

and did you seriously just use the "Denial" line? Did that happen?

if you'd been at any of the ECF games last year, you'd hate the slugs, their players, coaches, trainers, equipment managers, their city and their sense of entitlement too.

What are you talking about? are you saying that me being from Buffalo does not make me queen of the world, darlin-sugar-pie?

By the way, the guys that sat next to me and my buddy at the ECfinals games last year were Hurricane fans and told us we were the nicest Buffalo people they had ever met and bought us a beer. We bought them nachos. It was a beautiful moment of world peace.

so i was out running errands the other day, and i saw a guy and his family leaning on the back of their truck

they looked nice, and the weather was nice so they were just standing around talking

when i circled around, i saw a sabres magnet on the back of the truck, and i immediately wanted to punch them all

The owner for the Sens was on Rome today. If I were a betting man, I would put money on the Senators to win it all. The "Jungle Karma" is some strong stuff.

Jealousy my ass. I've hated the Red Wings for the better part of the last 30 years. I've hated them when they were horrible, I've hated them when they were good, I've always hated them.

I hope a bus hits Hasek. Either that or the Sens make the Finals and roll over him as payback for quitting on them.

Now that I can get behind.

And yes, Jason, I think Hasek is indeed playing solid. He hasn't stolen a game, but he hasn't been asked to, and he hasn't thrown a game away. I think he really woke up when Babcock went berzerk on him after that flop that cost them a game.

fixed what for me? although malik does in fact look like a downy as you apparently think too, i was getting more at the fact that he plays like one. and yes pavel datsyuk does somewhat look like a rat, but at least he doesn't cough up the puck nearly as much or as badly as malik. so go ahead and trash how pavel or anybody else in the nhl looks.

but i can already see you're going to come back with some retort about his somewhat high plus/minus stat. that must be why malik has won the norris...oh wait. well he's been on an all star tea....oh wait. hmm. at least he can take solace in his name being etched on the stanley cup...no not there either. i guess basically what i'm trying to say is that plus/minus is a flawed statistic and doesn't mean that much outside of the award the NHL gives (which he didn't even win outright that year). and even if you do place a lot of stock in that stat, datsyuk's was higher this year anyway.
