I liked the anger on Costner's face after he fouled out. Yeah it sucked, but he was pissed as hell and you could tell he wanted another chance, he still had fire and intensity.

Unlike under the previous coach, we don't have a schematic problem causing us to lose before we step on the court. This year, its about bodies and adjustments.

I think sid would have matched the overplay and the step outs on the screens. He also would have got us out of that zone after it was busted.

That's why I don't dread a UNC matchup as in previous years.

I agree, Sid is a great coach and could have probably made the adjustments needed to keep us in the game for a while, but you can't coach around fatigue, guys were dead tired because we couldn't control the game like in our first meeting. a third meeting on the second day of the ACC tourney would go really badly for the pack

one could say that it was a version of Herb's offensive scheme that won the first game for us

the offense was definitely different for that game than it had been all season

this game started out as each team wanting badly to prove something to the other team

Carolina was trying to prove the messed up in the first game and we were trying to prove we didn't mess up in the first game

then halftime came and messed up the mood of the game

^^^^^ The changes would have been enough to give us a chance to win. They turned turnovers and bad shots into fast points, speeding up the game. By executing better on offense, we inherently save energy. I think the savings would have been enough to put us in a spot to win.

^^ Yeah, it can be argued by idiot Herb apologists like yourself. However, we already saw the reality of a herb sendek offense against Roy -- running circles that fool no one, making predictable cuts that don't fool anyone, no inside game, and just jacking up threes. You can spin fantasies all you want.

We won the first game because of solid screening on an off the ball, inside play, and classic PG play. Oh yeah, REBOUNDING. Herb's offense doesn't put players in rebounding position.

None of our players have tractors, let alone probably seen one. Even though our school has a strong Agriculture program, that's not what we are all about. We have excellent engineering, science, math, food science, textile, political science, and design programs. We also have a large college of humanities. I'm pretty sure none of the people in these majors have tractors. I don't chant "Where's my fries" when we beat them just b/c they have bullshit majors that force a percentage of them to become managers at a McDonald's.

Funny story is, one time I was at my parents' house for a weekend and we were watching an evening State game, and ordered a pizza. The delivery man saw that we had the game on and was like oh are you State fans? I was like yeah I'm a student there. He was like that's cool, I went to UNC back in the 70s and I remember the rivalry well. I was like cool what did you major in? He said, oh a bunch of different things. Well that world class education sure worked out well for him. In all seriousness though the guy was pretty nice.
