^^ yeah, i think i suggested that one, then didn't sack up and pull the trigger on buying it.
4/26/2007 2:43:46 PM
Back into BIDU at just under $106.If you guys have some beer money to spare, get in now before closeBut don't risk any rent money on it.

Delta was my worst purchase, ever.I must get out before it's worth nothing. I've lost like 3823429348923847% on it.

4/26/2007 4:31:12 PM
^^^ that's something i was wondering today...who exactly is paying that nickel per share for Delta? I mean, I don't understand how it has any value whatsoever, if the shares are about to be wiped out.
4/26/2007 5:01:11 PM
I suppose now it doesn't matter... Perhaps I can unload my $30 worth of Delta tomorrow on some unlucky sucker. Then again I was stupid enough to buy it.Live and learn.
4/26/2007 5:03:14 PM
Should have bought it right after 911 like I did.
4/26/2007 5:04:21 PM
^^ no, if you have shares of it, it doesn't matter. Sell it to anyone who'll ante up for it.I'm just curious about the economics behind it...why would anyone pay even a nickel per share for it?[Edited on April 26, 2007 at 5:13 PM. Reason : asdfas]

^ wouldn't beat self over it. another time i tried trading BIDU around earnings i got waxed. i've had ups and downs with that one, but i can't seem to quit it. over the life of the relationship, its been net pretty good to me. doubled on the IPO day and whatnot.
4/26/2007 9:29:47 PM
Wow MSFT is up after hours. Not as much as BIDU, but a lot for MSFT.

why don't you just buy the 4k of the vanguard 2050 through vanguard?btw...it's a good fund. i also like the t rowe price target date funds if you are into that sort of thing.[Edited on April 27, 2007 at 2:19 PM. Reason : .]

I already have about 5 accounts, so I don't really want another one. Plus, I will be able to easily buy Fidelity, T Row, or whatever else in the future if I so desire. I just want to make sure Scottrade won't charge me any fees before I get it.
4/27/2007 2:22:36 PM
i really don't know much about mutual fund administrative issues. outside of my 401k, i dont own any mutuals per se.i'm all about ETFs.
4/27/2007 2:26:42 PM
ah. i've got a brokerage through t rowe. can get most anything i want through there(but not everything). saw something online not too long ago about the webtrade sites with the most funds available. td ameritrade was at the top of the list with over 15000, if you don't already have an account with scottrade you may check them out first. specifically if you're interested in the target date funds check out the t rowe 2040 too (TRRDX). done well for me.
4/27/2007 2:28:15 PM
^ How's QQQQ doing these days?I am interested in Target date. I think I decided to go with Vanguard b/c of lower fees / expense ratio. Yes, I already have a scottrade account.[Edited on April 27, 2007 at 2:29 PM. Reason : ]
