David Carr put up some ridiculous points today against the Colts D...definitely keeping him on my roster.
9/17/2006 11:44:24 PM
antonio bryant was definitely my gem for the day (19 pts)other than peyton (34) and Maroney (12)[Edited on September 17, 2006 at 11:45 PM. Reason : ]

Yeah, Bryant, JCo, and Brees gave me the edge today.Chargers D would've been a huge lift if they hadn't backed off in the 4th quarter. Since they didn't pick up any sacks and only two INTs, they ended up not giving me as many points as the Seahawks (who were on my bench). All in all, though, I'm pretty happy with how this team has performed the first two weeks, considering I thought I was fucked when I missed the draft.[Edited on September 17, 2006 at 11:50 PM. ^Yeah, basically all in the 4th. But he still hasn't thrown any INTs this year. And yeah, considering how shitty the Texans are, they're going to see a lot of garbage time.
9/17/2006 11:52:43 PM
LOLZ.ok, so I read the point totals wrong.I was up by 23, not 13.I am now up 11 with him having Willie Parker and me having Leftwich.Byron's got to throw for 150 and a score, with ~30 yds rushing.if he goes ~18/36, that would give me 15 points, and he would need 26 points from Fast Willie.I dont see it happening.
9/17/2006 11:57:28 PM
Holy hell I'm dominating in all 4 leagues. Most dominant performance is in my main 14 team league even without playing my first 2 picks (S Smith and L Jordan).Starters:P. RiversD. Jackson J. CotcheryB. EdwardsF. GoreW. DunnA. Vinatieri San Diegomost scored touchdowns, they all got tons of yards. Oh and in my league recievers and running backs get bonus points for 100 yard games, which ALL 5 OF MINE GOT!! So I'm currently leading 147-89. If SD would have held the shutout I would have had 160!So unless Hines Ward has like 300 yards and 4 touchdowns tomorrow, I think I have it wrapped up.
9/18/2006 12:08:25 AM
FANTASY UPDATET. Owens breaks his Finger and is expected to miss 2-4 weeks. This automatically makes the value of all other skill positions increase. (RB, WR, and especially Witten @ TE)Hold on to Witten or Glenn if you have them (you didnt need me to tell you that about glenn, especially after tonight.- The Guru
9/18/2006 12:32:06 AM
FUCK^On a side note, I'm really worried about tomorrow's game. If Willie Parker doesn't do well and Heath Miller catches 6 touchdowns, I lose.[Edited on September 18, 2006 at 1:12 AM. Reason : dsafsd]
9/18/2006 1:11:24 AM
I just picked up P. Crayton for K. Rob even though I probably won't use him with Housh, Bennett and Toomer and only 2 WR spots...maybe someone will wanna trade for him...but Julius Jones as my backup RB looks a whole lot better now...
9/18/2006 1:29:56 AM
P crayton for K Rob is dubious.Next week is bye for dallas, so TO might be back before crayton even gets to play. K rob will probably become a long term starter for GB, assuming he doesnt hit the bottle too hard. OTOH, Dallas' game in week 4 is against Tenn.

What do you think about this tradeI give Pennington or Dunn and Welker for Hines Ward and Deangelo williams?[Edited on September 18, 2006 at 3:15 AM. Reason : sdf]
9/18/2006 3:14:05 AM
depends on what else you have
9/18/2006 9:43:12 AM
9/18/2006 10:25:56 AM
aha you are pretty pathetic personI'm not going to sift through this whole thread to point out all your bad calls even though you did the same to find the 2-3 yo uwere actually right on
9/18/2006 10:27:26 AM
Just dropped the auto-drafted Ronald Curry and Mewelde Moore and picked up Troy Brown and Michael Turner. I REALLY need Steve Smith to come back!
9/18/2006 12:32:58 PM
Bush for BurressAccept or Reject?I'm thinking accept but my RB's (Bush, Parker, Thomas Jones, T. Henry, D. Williams) get weaker without Bush unless DeAngelo ends up startin in Carolina or Travis Henry ends up startin in TEN.My WR's need some help (S. Smith, D. Jackson, E. Kennison, and Reggie Williams). 3 can start...
9/18/2006 1:08:44 PM
trade if you start 3 wr...if not decline...burress will have more fantasy points than bush at the end of the year
9/18/2006 1:15:12 PM
accepted. now i just hope the league members vote against it. starting WR's of Jackson, Burress and Steve Smith should put up big points for me but my RBs are pretty weak until D.Williams/T. Henry get a starting nod.

9/18/2006 2:02:30 PM
Housh is taking up valuable space on my roster. Do I stick with him?
9/18/2006 2:14:01 PM
I only have Dunn and Parker at RB. Other guy has shitty QBs. Should I trade him pennington for stephen jackson?I'm thinking about this for buy week purposes. Otherwise, I only use 2 RBs and use a receiver in the flex spot. Other QBs are Warner and Favre. I also can get m turner, but SD is playing against Pitt and Chicago when I want to play him, so I don't think he will get any burn (hopefully LT gets injured!),[Edited on September 18, 2006 at 6:11 PM. Reason : sdf]
9/18/2006 6:08:59 PM
yessss pennington is pass heavy this year, but RBs GOOD RBs are hard to obtain, theres QB choices each week that look good and as long as u dont have Peyton, the QB points arent THAT important anyways.
9/18/2006 6:10:53 PM
i was fortunate enough to get LT and Eli in each of two different leagues...couldn't believe they hadn't been picked by the time it was my turn
9/18/2006 6:16:38 PM
Do not give up on Housh after Week 2, that would haunt you all year...
9/18/2006 6:25:19 PM
My sense is that Eli is not an elite fantasy QB, yet, that's why people passed on him. The game yesterday was an aberration (really, the second half of the game).
9/18/2006 6:54:48 PM
I'm up by 11 with Leftwich getting me 6.2 and him only getting 2.3 from Willie Parker...so far.
9/18/2006 10:00:45 PM
damnit ben, 1 td and i win.steelers need it too.
9/18/2006 10:03:05 PM
i'm up about 16 with willie parker my opponent has pittsburgh d and matt jones...thank goodness he didn't catch that heave at the end of halftime...biiiiiiiiaaaaaaaaahhhhhh
9/18/2006 10:07:47 PM
I'm tied against my matchup and he doesn't have anyone playing tonight. I have the Jacksonville defense and all I need is an int, sack, fumble recovery, or blocked kick to win but they're not helping me out!!In the real world, they're playing great defense.
9/18/2006 10:08:46 PM
well they just got a big sack, you mean you need another one?
9/18/2006 10:20:54 PM
Thats the one I needed. Now I just want them to win the game.
9/18/2006 10:28:24 PM
Dammit Jax, get your offense off the field.
9/18/2006 10:30:16 PM
^dude you already won, does it even matter anymore
9/18/2006 10:48:36 PM
what about this one -- (I need RB points)I give willie parker, get deangelo williams and Michael Jenkins?
9/18/2006 11:41:50 PM
^^Different league.I had two teams get screwed by tight ends in the final game.
9/18/2006 11:51:02 PM
My real teams went 0-2 AGAIN and my fantasy ones went 2-2 AGAIN. I expected better from both AGAIN.
9/19/2006 12:07:24 AM
9/19/2006 2:38:44 AM
i say go for itWilliams is becoming the main back and u already have Dunn, why not.
9/19/2006 2:41:14 AM
I just realized that I've been favored all 8 times in four leagues and have gone 4-4.
9/19/2006 5:13:28 PM
Yeah I've won half the games I was favored in,and all which I've not been favored inat least the ones I check, anyway
9/19/2006 5:15:00 PM
I have been a heavy underdog both times and have won big both times. Cotchery = sleeper pick of the season, so farAlso, i think it works out better if you are later in the draft. If you draft first, you get last year's big names and dont pick again for a looooong time. The people near the end get good shots back to back at good players. Thus, if one guy sucks, you still have a comparable second pick. Also, it might be the case that the teams that were good last year frequently regress while the others improve. This would make sense considering the weaker teams have drafted good players who could improve them.[Edited on September 19, 2006 at 6:06 PM. Reason : sdf]

start 2:willie parker vs cinthomas jones vs mindeangelo williams vs tbtravis henry (Questionable) vs miamii'm thinkin willie and deangelostart 1:brees vs atleli vs seabrad johnson vs chiand watson or crumpler at TE?
9/19/2006 9:29:13 PM
brees vs atleli vs seabrad johnson vs chibad matchups all around, but the correct answer is eli
9/19/2006 9:57:44 PM
yea its a bad week for my qb's and opposing teams, i was thinking about going with brees just because he will be on monday night.t. jones or d. williams though?
9/19/2006 10:37:55 PM
good trade or bad?D. McNabb and B. Jacobs for M. Vick and Ronnie Brown
9/19/2006 10:56:33 PM
tough to say. jacobs/vick is the wildcard
9/19/2006 11:00:17 PM
In my opinion, jmpack15, I would start the following.RBWillie Parker - The Steelers wil rededicate themselves to the run after completely abandoning it in last nights loss to the Jaguars. Cincy is hurting up from on the defensive side, so his quickness should get you some good totals.Thomas Jones - The Vikings secondary is better than their front line, and I dont see grossman passing for another 4 TD's in this one. Suprisingly enough, this could be a grind it out game, with thomas jones getting about 80 yards and a score.I would not play Deangelo in this one for a few reasons. 1st, Coach Fox announced today that Foster is still the starter, and he will alternate series as he sees fit. Always go with bonified starters (Parker and Jones) over platoon backs. 2nd, this is going to be a battle of 0-2 teams with the loser being last place in a tough ass division. With that said, I expect Tampa to bring thier A-game on Sunday and make it tough for "our" backs to do alot of damage.Jones and Parker would be my starters.
9/19/2006 11:04:43 PM
Ok. sit/start on my waiver wire receiving corp:J. Cotchery v BufA. Toomer v SeaB. Berrian v MinnW. Welker v TennM. Colston v AtlD. Gabriel v DenI say cotch, toomer, berrian, and colston. Welker is interesting because it's vs Tenn, but miami might get the lead and run a lot. I thought ATL might be a bad matchup for colston, but it looks like Simms passed for $texas yards against ATL. I gotta believe that Brees will do the same.
