That rocket that blew up? Obama -3
10/29/2014 7:12:41 AM
At least he'll have a good excuse for the failure of the last 2 years of his presidency.
11/5/2014 11:03:45 AM
they are about to pass a ton of shitty laws and put him in the position to have to veto stuff over and over. Shits about to get ugly. I could easily see him passing republican laws just so everything doesn't get blamed on him.
11/5/2014 6:11:48 PM
It really is fucking weird that people voted for a bunch of populist ballot measures while electing Republicans to make and implement laws. Are people just that uninformed or was it a conscious decision to just stick it to Obama? Maybe people just want to smoke pot, have unprotected sex, and watch the world burn.[Edited on November 5, 2014 at 6:26 PM. Reason : :]

I think it is clear that people are unhappy with their current lot in life. They don't blame Obama, they don't blame Republicans or Democrats, they're blaming Washington. And to most folks, this is the only way to make a change.Right or wrong, I think that is what happened. The Republicans didn't win, it's just the Democrats lost.
11/5/2014 8:23:32 PM
^That may explain the Senate races, but it doesn't explain the victories that Scott Walker and Sam Brownback achieved.
11/5/2014 8:55:33 PM
the answer of course is the majority of voters are racist, sexist, and stupid.
11/5/2014 8:56:34 PM
^thats an exceptionally trolly post. GG sir
11/5/2014 9:55:23 PM
ok? they arent then.
11/5/2014 10:11:01 PM
people just didn't vote. the people who voted for obama stayed home. in the states that had marijuana on the table, they showed up in droves just to vote for weed. basically obama and weed are the only thing that get the democrat voters to show up. hillary will as well.i know so many democrats who didn't even know there was a big election this year. they think elections are only every 4 years.
11/5/2014 10:37:35 PM
So if the people that came out in droves to vote for Obama in '08 and '12 didn't come out in '10 and '14, what does that say about his voter base?I think that speaks volumes. Maybe the Democratic machine just wasn't bussing in enough people to the polls this time around. Or in '10.
11/6/2014 8:13:46 AM
you may wanna check out the statistical analysis of voting patterns of the party in power during midterm elections, champthis is how it almost always goesbusses or no busses
11/6/2014 8:49:22 AM
There was still bussing...http://m.technicianonline.com/mobile/news/article_09dd23ae-5d90-11e4-ae8d-001a4bcf6878.html
11/6/2014 9:48:17 AM
people who think bussing is a bad thing are kind of telling on themselves"he isn't legitimate because they were bussing them in"
11/6/2014 10:03:03 AM
yet when churches bus old people to the polls to vote down alcohol referendums (for example) its a travesty to people like you
11/6/2014 10:14:49 AM
example?
11/6/2014 10:15:42 AM
of what
11/6/2014 10:17:48 AM
you people not liking busses
11/6/2014 10:24:10 AM
Based on reading some articles from the Washington Post the past two days, I think Harry Reid would deck the president if he wouldn't get arrested right after. Reid has his chief aide opening up on everything but it's not the "anonymous source" stuff, he's up front and open publicly on the record as the source.http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/midterm-disaster-rips-apart-awkward-ties-between-obama-and-senate-democrats/2014/11/05/5bdd257a-650e-11e4-9fdc-d43b053ecb4d_story.html?tid=pm_politics_popIf Obama gives a shit and wants a conduit in the Senate that supports him, he has to back someone that defeats Reid for Senate Minority Leader.I bet Hillary Clinton right now is real glad she's on the sidelines and is not in the middle of this crap.[Edited on November 6, 2014 at 10:32 AM. yeah liberals dont like it when churches bus old people to vote down liberal things
11/6/2014 10:30:21 AM
are annoyed when churches bring people to vote for unconstitutional constitutional amendments, sure. i haven't seen anyone say that it's wrong or shouldn't be allowed though. the other side claims it's almost criminal fraud.

11/6/2014 10:40:26 AM
its the same mindset that makes liberals call every black republican an uncle tomyoud think theyd be happy to have minorities in any officejust like youd think theyd be happy with old people votingnope
11/6/2014 10:55:19 AM
liberals don't like minorities in office?
11/6/2014 11:00:32 AM
not when theyre republican
11/6/2014 11:19:54 AM
I like minorities in office, even when they're republican, because they usually end up getting mocked/harassed by other republicans reinforcing the expectation that republicans are out of touch with evolving demographics.look at michael steele, and bobby jindal (he did a lot of this to himself though with his plodding speaking style-- but the republicans didn't have his back at all).[Edited on November 7, 2014 at 12:56 PM. so as long as the three of you agree black republicans arent racially denigrated by liberals that makes it trueplease just be honest and say you only celebrate minority politicians when theyre democratplease

i don't celebrate any politicians, black or not[Edited on November 7, 2014 at 3:12 PM. Reason : ]

I celebrate Obama for being half-black and president, that's a notable historical landmark.

Pay no attention to the additional troops being dispatched to Iraq to help combat ISIS. Those aren't boots on the ground, they're military advisers serving non-combat roles.

yeah its just 300 i mean 1500 i mean whoops its 3000.

"obama beat him who cares about his opinion"
11/8/2014 7:35:16 PM
Our two options are more boots on the ground, or engaging regional powers even Iran. Romney probably would have committed more troops, maybe done another surge, but for Obama, who's goal is a stable long term situation, some level of relationship with Iran (along with the other surrounding countries) is a necessary strategy, and likely a better strategy than just brute force. There was a panel on cspan the other week and the 3 panelists were all disappointed in the Obama admin for ignoring the warning signs for isis, but all 3 also agreed Iran had a Major stake I the outcome, but dismissed the idea of the USA even working with Iran. Looks like they might be wrong. The Iranian people are some of the most progressive in the middle east, they are a freer society than Saudi Arabia. We should be engaging them, in the ideal world. In the real world, despite the practicality of being on good terms with Iran, we are also allies with Israel who hates Iran. But Obama is not wrong for talking to Iran.
11/9/2014 1:02:13 AM
Getting Iran involved is just going to piss the extreme Sunnis off even more. The best option is for us to stop trying to "fix" Iraq, cut our losses and leave it alone. Otherwise, endless war will continue and all sides will be able to blame us for their differences. How can they ever resolve their issues if we are always involved?

so what you're saying is that PackPride needs to get on this?
11/10/2014 12:05:42 PM
What's his deal... Soon as he loses congress, he nominates a new fiery attorney General, comes out big for net neutrality, now he's making bold moves on immigration, next thing you know he'll be Obama the presidential candidate again.
11/14/2014 12:38:07 AM
Lots of Presidents who are hated during their presidency becoming revered again for some reason
11/14/2014 12:44:11 AM
He is doing everything he can in this lame duck session to make the next two years as difficult as possible for him. He knows exactly what he needs to do to piss this congress off, and he's doing it. He said he would wait a while for congress to do something on immigration, and now he's not. He's not even giving them a chance.
11/14/2014 7:45:15 AM
Probably gave up trying to work with his party since they aren't even competent enough to hold seats
11/14/2014 8:06:17 AM
Harry Reid has run out of excuses for doing nothing.
