rep in ab is now every 200 and flag rep is 36 now Ibelieve.oh and randomly.... not sure if we were incredibly lucky or if they really did significantly up drop rates in the instances. I was forced into helping a friends alt in ubrs and we get mastersmith girdle, both dalrend's, ace of beasts, and painweaver off drak + 2 others. was a very decent run. Oh and there's also only 3 packs in drakk's room now.[Edited on March 29, 2006 at 9:15 AM. Reason : ..]

WSG token turn ins are still only 50 rep per three. The counter arguement to this is to cap more flags, but when you are consistantly being farmed by preforms in BWL epix then it makes it a bit tough. At least I hit Knight-Champion. Two (maybe three) more weeks and I am done with the grind and can just focus on rep. [Edited on March 29, 2006 at 9:25 AM. Reason : EPEEN]

there is an immortal "servant of allistarj" in IF ... free weapon skill about 30 people just smacking him not taking any damage

that happens every other week or sosorta funny
3/30/2006 4:38:23 AM
^^^ Only gain rep from killing the other faction and being in the raid, in the same area. In the time that i could pull 1000 rep before im lucky to get 650 and to do that it takes mindless moshpit killing that never moves. Totaly ruined AV.
3/30/2006 4:42:50 AM
or you could just win AV's.
3/30/2006 8:55:18 AM
i think its great. people cant just afk bot in av anymore and get their rep
3/30/2006 8:58:28 AM
3/30/2006 9:06:10 AM
heck id like to see snow in av and rain in wsg and ab once in awhile. you know make it a random variable when the map loads. like 5% of the times its raining in ab/wsg or something.
3/30/2006 9:41:25 AM
i dont understand why they didnt just set up a weather system that would roll over all of the zones. Its not like it would be hard to keep track of that. ONLY having weather in certain zones is retarded.
3/30/2006 9:43:54 AM
i agree. its a start at least. this is actually probably one thing back when i played it in beta and then the initial full release that i was surprised they didnt have in the game
3/30/2006 9:45:39 AM
They can't have dynamic weather rolling in all zones because that wouldn't be very easy to implement. I'm pretty sure they'll end up including weather appropriate to all zones by expac.
3/30/2006 10:53:36 AM
it would be easy to implimentit just tells the servers which zones have which weather every x amount of time and that info is sent to the clients. no biggieim not talking about half of elwynn having rain and the other half of the storm being over darkshire. nothing that complicated.having a storm that is covering barrens, durotar, and azshara that moves to cover barrens, durotar, and dustwallow wouldnt be hard to impliment.
3/30/2006 10:56:06 AM
dont go prot spec, Unless you are MTing AQ40 right now, theres no reason to go more then 15 points into prot. I've had about 20 specs on my warrior. If you are Pre-bwl i suggest 18/33/0 or 31/20/0If you are in BWL and a tank warrior, not a dps warrior Then 31/5/15 or 5/31/15.If you are MTing AQ40, then you might wanna consider it
3/30/2006 11:11:54 AM
You're making a lot of assumptions about server architecture here, Lokken. This discussion is over.
3/30/2006 12:35:12 PM
yea theres no way they'd be able to handle that
3/30/2006 12:49:18 PM
There is no discussion. Youre talking out of your ass, where as im going off of what they already have implimentedthey have shown they have it set up to do a zone by zone weather effects, sever fucking architecture or not.Setting up something to say 'fill these zones with what you have already set up' isnt a stretch. If they have the 'architecture' to handle 40 people fighting one monster from all over the earth where timing is very important, I think they have the 'architecture' and ability to have the server communicate that the weather should be 'on' for this zone and switch 'off' for the one it was previously on. im interested in hearing what kind of 'architecture' or lack of prevents them from telling the servers to switch weather effects based on a timeframe[Edited on March 30, 2006 at 12:58 PM. 3/30/2006 12:50:22 PM
3/30/2006 12:59:39 PM
ok, hemisphere, even country.still want to know what ghastly assumptions ive made about their architecture.
3/30/2006 1:02:45 PM
lol 40 people fighting 1 guy does not compare to the entire server population getting a new environmental variable to draw[Edited on March 30, 2006 at 1:21 PM. Reason : not to mention a variable that moves itself constantly]
3/30/2006 1:19:10 PM
umyou want to explain why not?Client: I want to Cast fireballServer: Everyone in raid draw player X firing fireballClients: Draw player X firing fireballServer: Everyone in zones X, Y, and Z should be seeing rainClient: render rain if in zone X, Y, or ZServer: remove zone X from rain, add zone W to rainClient: stop rain if in zone X, start rain if in zone W.Youre acting like the server has to render the weather effect. All it would have to do is keep track of which zones have weather on, which it already does, and then send the info to the client along with all of the other data that is constantly going back and forth.Im just curious why they didnt set up something that moves weather across all zones, a complete zone at a time that just adds one zone and drops a previous one. They already HAVE the 'architecture' to communicate where the weather is and how long it should be on.I bet they did it this way so that they can have it as a 'feature' in upcoming patches.you mean a variable that is constantly moving and requires updates to clients like the location of OTHER players, monsters, NPCs, etc.yeah they have none of those [Edited on March 30, 2006 at 1:28 PM. 3/30/2006 1:26:17 PM
I'm not talking out of my ass Lokken. I know you can't read and comprehend anything but other engineers reading this thread will note that I offered no explanation as to why they can or can't implement what you said other then assuming it isn't as easy as you think it is.
3/30/2006 1:27:47 PM
im still waiting for the horrible 'architecture' assumptions that you think ive made.
3/30/2006 1:28:59 PM
Well, you're assuming shifting weather data from zone to zone is seamless, for one.
3/30/2006 1:29:58 PM
3/30/2006 1:31:26 PM
yet noone can tell me what the assumptions i have made about server architecture are.i.e. youre talking out of your assI am making no assumptions, im going off what they already do in the gameim not talking about moving a 'system' across the zones. I am talking about having a simple system that keeps track of what zones should have weather and which shouldnt. They already HAVE the weather set up. they already HAVE the servers set up to have it on or off given certain circumstances. I am just curious why they limited it to certain zones as opposed to having it go from zone to zone.[Edited on March 30, 2006 at 1:37 PM. Reason : *]they shift character data from zone to zone constantly, and its pretty seamless. seems like the architecture is there.[Edited on March 30, 2006 at 1:39 PM. Reason : *]
