I am tired of having boring long hair. I've had basically the same cut for the better part of ... probably 10 years, but there's no way I can pull off bangs, and I don't want to cut layers up to my chin or anything, and there isn't a whole lot else to be done with long hair that I can think of. I don't really want to lose length though, because it's longer than it's been in a good while, and I like it. So I guess I'll just whine about it.
5/14/2010 10:49:28 AM
this was the last picture... stupid hotlinking I guessAnyway, I want bangs that are kind of ... "free" looking, but not just typical side swept. I guess I'm trying to say I want bangs that will still look if they aren't perfect because NC humidity during the summer certainly isn't Sam-hair friendly... BUT I WANT BANGS, DAMMIT. and I've been using this stuff that Matrix makes for hair straightening and it does a really great job at actually keeping my hair straight (in most places).
5/14/2010 10:50:20 AM
^ That's my fav so far. When sideswept bangs grow out, they just look like layers ... kind of an evolution into bedroom hair.

I think I've decided on a mix between Ashley Olsen's bangs and this hair cut (but longer):^ thanks for the advice!! I might go for straight front bangs once winter gets here but I figured those are a hell-no-go right now
5/14/2010 11:06:26 AM
its really hard to do the straight front bangs if you have to deal with any sort of frizz with humidity. i'm jealous of girls who can straighten their hair in the summer on the most humid days and their hair stays straight.
5/14/2010 11:10:26 AM
inorite... like my cousin... stewpid biyatchI'm starting to like that second cut more and more (even for length) - but I know I would hate myself come one week later when I have no ponytail, etc (and for the simple fact that I'm trying to grow out my hair)
5/14/2010 11:13:12 AM
^^^^ Cute! And I love the mini Snookie poof. The look and the phrase. I'm considering going back to my natural hair color. Two reasons: lower maintenance and to look a little less like the typical Florida bimbo. But I really like both colors. Which looks better?Third from the right:On the right:^^^ I love that cut! That will look great with your face shape.[Edited on May 14, 2010 at 11:15 AM. Reason : .]

^ i love that plaid dress
5/14/2010 11:16:59 AM
I like both colors Lucy, but I agree the brown looks a little less Florida bimbo (although you don't look ho-ish )I think you would look great with chocolate brown as well
5/14/2010 11:20:13 AM
^^ That plaid dress rocks! Have you gotten much wear out of it?^ I didn't think about chocolate brown. That would be fun! I think I need to transition to a lighter brown before going much darker. It's tough for me to make major color changes. I did dark, dark, dark brown before (from blonde) and it was shocking ... to me and to my colleagues. I dig Jen Aniston's color, which is pretty close to my natural:oh, and yah, if you go for bimbo blonde, then you have to keep the clothing slightly more conservative. Otherwise people think you're a hooker.[Edited on May 14, 2010 at 11:27 AM. Reason : .]
5/14/2010 11:26:21 AM
i think i'd like to lighten my hair a bit. it'll probably get a little lighter anyway since i'll be spending more time outside but i'd love to get back to my original blonde
5/14/2010 11:27:37 AM
^ You look good with darker hair though! But light is nice for summer. It's a futile cause to try to keep your hair dark this time of year. Also, ladies, I'm attending a trailer trash pub crawl next month and I need costume ideas. So far I'm thinking:uggsblue eyeshadowfake baby bumpcigarettes tucked into the boobsfake black eyeteased hair (maybe get a bumpit)cutoff shorts or leopard leggings (prob shorts bc it'll be hot)Other suggestions? What type of purse would be trailer trashy?[Edited on May 14, 2010 at 11:33 AM. Reason : .]

For some reason the expression she has in the first picture actually looks somewhat like you when you smile and I can finally picture you with that cut. It's going to look freaking incredible on you.

Ya know what's sad? Those ideas came from girls I imagined being in my hometown. Also, don't forget the low rider jeans that are super light with white wash down the front and backs of the legs with tiny back pocketsSimilar to these:Except with much bigger bell bottoms[Edited on May 14, 2010 at 2:51 PM. hahaha, those jeans will be perfect for showing off my g-string!I wonder if I can find a pair w/side cutouts
5/14/2010 2:54:31 PM
seriously, whose butt is small enough to wear those?!
5/14/2010 2:55:41 PM
13 year olds
5/14/2010 2:56:41 PM
i think it's more of a question of who's butt crack is short enough to wear those
5/14/2010 2:58:10 PM
Yo Luna (and Wolfy),I tried on the bikini version of your banana republic dress. It's so cute! But decided not to buy it.

Sam, I can't wait to see that haircut on you! It's going to look FANTASTIC!--message_topic.aspx?topic=575621I did a HUGE order with http://www.mountainroseherbs.com last week, for misc supplies. The oils I got:16oz Castor oil organic 1/2oz Peppermint essential oil organic 8oz Sweet Almond oil 8oz Kukui Nut oil 1/2oz Eucalyptus (Lemon) essential oil organic 1oz Lavender (40-42) essential oil 1oz Orange (Sweet) essential oil 1/2oz Tangerine essential oil 4oz Lavender hydrosol organic 8oz Lavender hydrosol organic 4oz Peppermint hydrosol organic 4oz Sandalwood hydrosol 16oz Hemp Seed oil organic 16oz Grapeseed oilLadies, if ANYONE wants to handle/use/sample any of these carrier oils (hemp, grapeseed, kukui, almond, castor), lemme know. The almond, hemp, and grapeseed can be used as lubes - just not with latex protection. The Kukui is HOLYSHITOMGFANTASTIC. It absorbs so quickly, is very light, and leaves your skin sooooooo silky. I can't wait to get to mixing these
5/14/2010 11:21:17 PM
well I got it cut today, I'm really happy with it and I think once I do it myself I'll be even happier The AC guy before he left was like, "by the way, your hair looks really cute"It was kind of awkward but at the same time .. mission accomplished? PS - ULTA in Crossroads now has a Benefit counter!!!!!!!!! [Edited on May 15, 2010 at 2:45 PM. Reason : .]

I'm looking for a good place to buy thin cloth bags in bulk for a craft project. I'm thinking the thin fabric that is typically found on a reusable shopping bag would be best, as I'd like to paint on them. Any ideas on this? Is there a craft thread anyone could point me to?

this is gross so bewarethe bottom of my feet - well i guess just my heels are like super dry with lots of dead skin. i have a pumice (sp?) stone that i use in the shower and i put regular body lotion on my feet after i shower but it doesn't seem to make a huge difference.does anyone have any foot creams that they use or have suggestions? it has gotten worse since i've started running . the thing is my heels don't really crack at all even though they are so rough and dry. its mostly that i just can't seem to get the rough/dead skin off. gross, i know.
5/16/2010 1:22:57 AM
Wear socks.
5/16/2010 1:39:00 AM
like put lotion on and then wear socks? i've tried that.if you just mean wear socks in general then i don't really know how that helps get dead skin off!
5/16/2010 1:42:31 AM
If you wear socks in general then your feet won't callous as much. The dead skin will repair over time. (This isn't a realistic option, I know. But I'm going to suggest it anyway.)
5/16/2010 1:44:23 AM
ohhhhh i seei hate sock so that probably explains a lot haha.
5/16/2010 1:51:21 AM
whenever my feet get really dry, I put vicks vapo rub on them at night and throw on an old pair of socksin the morning they're smooth and minty fresh
5/16/2010 2:18:23 PM
really?! haha i have 2 things of vapo rub in my medicine cabinet. i will have to try that out! thanks!
5/16/2010 2:20:50 PM
I read about it in the people's pharmacy article in the N&O a few years ago. apparently it also helps with toenail fungus.

Alright, here it is... I used a round brush for my bangs so they weren't as wavy as I wanted - tomorrow I'm going to try using my diffuser. Might take me a few days to get it exactly how I want it but so far I like it kadwackle fish face!!!!
5/16/2010 8:55:07 PM
your hair looks really cute. unrelated, but have you lost a lot of weight this year? lookin gooood[Edited on May 16, 2010 at 8:57 PM. Reason : let's be honest though, i'm always drunk when i see you]

5/16/2010 8:57:44 PM
adorable!!!! those bangs look awesome on you! and the nice thing is, when it gets hot out, you can easily pin them back.
5/16/2010 8:58:26 PM
^3 thanks and yes... well, not a lot of poundage but I think I'm down 2-3 inches in the waist and same for the hip area ^2 thanks! I think it'll take some playin with... my hair frizzes easy so it was hard trying to get that piecey look at the bottom but I'ma keep tryin^ thanks and YES I love that they're long enough where I can still pin them back... plus if they curl it's not a big deal ya know[Edited on May 16, 2010 at 9:00 PM.
