the offense was limited with DD as the main scorer and initiator but the ceiling was kinda high-ish. The ceiling without him is much much lower, obviously.

It's simple really, without Daniels we're either better, worse, or the same; those are the only choices.Obviously if Daniels was healthy and Keatts had chosen to bench him, people would be losing their minds
2/16/2021 6:32:55 PM
Without Daniels we're the same, but different
2/16/2021 6:46:42 PM
Thomas Allen out with a leg injury.
2/17/2021 11:23:20 AM
We still playing?
2/17/2021 11:29:20 AM
Yep at 4:30 lol
2/17/2021 11:48:30 AM
Allen's out, lower leg injury (not a hammy)
2/17/2021 12:12:17 PM
I think at his press time Keatts said that in response to the Allen injury we would just "play Beverly way more" and "bury Moore and Hayes on the bench." The injuries are concerning but sounds like he has a plan.[Edited on February 17, 2021 at 12:13 PM. Reason : ^[OLD]!!!!!!!!!!! ]

Beverly could barely sit-down last game and had to go to the locker room because of his back^^oops
2/17/2021 1:30:33 PM
^^thanks for pulling the direct quote^makes sense that the current plan is to not let him sit[Edited on February 17, 2021 at 1:36 PM. Reason : E]
2/17/2021 1:35:24 PM
Lol
2/17/2021 1:52:55 PM
Actually I think it’s his hip now, not his back
2/17/2021 3:46:52 PM
lol at that BB made shot
2/17/2021 4:45:09 PM
textbook Braxton
2/17/2021 4:53:47 PM
We're not turning the ball over and looking competent on offense!
2/17/2021 4:57:29 PM
Lol at Xavier Johnson.
2/17/2021 5:07:24 PM
Lol at the champagnie flop
2/17/2021 5:13:36 PM
We aren't going to have anyone left. Capel learned from the best about flopping.DJs second foul was an awful Luckie call.
2/17/2021 5:20:00 PM
lol fuck Capel
2/17/2021 5:47:53 PM
Lol Capel’s assistants are hilarious.
2/17/2021 5:51:38 PM
Capel and his assistants run out to mid court to argue a pretty obvious call? Fuck emAnd did that dude just try to bounce it off Funderburk, miss, and ref still called it Pitt ball? Maybe it did hit Fundy hard to tell
2/17/2021 5:57:13 PM
Love to see refs take over a game. Very fun and good. Always wanna see the refs do ref things and not see basketball things.[Edited on February 17, 2021 at 6:05 PM. Reason : Hellems was stupid for doing it but that shit happens a dozen times per game with no Tech ]
2/17/2021 6:04:46 PM
Lol. Funderburk hacked on the arms. But it’s a travel lolSorry for the triple posts guys but I’m not gonna stop
2/17/2021 6:06:42 PM
Good to see Pitt is still just a bunch of thugs. Never change.]
2/17/2021 6:07:23 PM
ACC refs gonna ACC ref. Gotta even up those technical fouls.]
2/17/2021 6:08:14 PM
Sorry for calling it a triple post when it was actually a quad post.
2/17/2021 6:15:36 PM
Hey did you know one of those five fouls was a technical foul?
2/17/2021 6:22:46 PM
I get that it’s a foul on Hellems. That’s called a foul 9/10 times. But there’s really nothing the defender can do there. Except flop and hope they call an offensive foul, I guess[Edited on February 17, 2021 at 6:23 PM. Reason : On his 5th]
2/17/2021 6:22:55 PM
Yes but did you realize one of his other fouls was a technical?
2/17/2021 6:24:38 PM
And there’s a similar example. Offense player drops a shoulder and bangs into defender. And it’s a foul on the defender.[Edited on February 17, 2021 at 6:26 PM. Reason : ^thats a valid point. Have there been any other technical fouls called today? ]
2/17/2021 6:26:04 PM
Refs let them play that time down court and it was very correct
2/17/2021 6:30:05 PM
Champagnie extends his arm, but hey, whatevs[Edited on February 17, 2021 at 6:32 PM. Reason : oh fuck Jamie Luckie]
2/17/2021 6:32:39 PM
Lol that’s an obvious foul on Pitt but we’ll call it a travel. You can’t put both hands on the guy like that. Absolutely bullshit
2/17/2021 6:34:20 PM
He clearly traveled.Because they shoved him off his feet.
2/17/2021 6:34:41 PM
That wasn’t even close. He wrapped him up.[Edited on February 17, 2021 at 6:35 PM. Reason : ^lol]
2/17/2021 6:34:57 PM
i'll take it
2/17/2021 6:35:40 PM
Ball don’t lie
2/17/2021 6:35:56 PM
Man fuck Pitt
2/17/2021 6:36:22 PM
Funderburk finished with exactly 16/8 ahahahhaha
2/17/2021 6:36:49 PM
eat shitt pitt
2/17/2021 6:37:06 PM
^^ Not a coincidence we won What a terribly officiated game. Does Champaignie always get so many calls??? I haven't watched Pitt.
2/17/2021 6:54:54 PM
I don’t know much about Pitt. But it kinda feels like they should be better. I guess people might say the same about State, though. Xavier Johnson can be hot and cold. Champagnie is really good. Horton is a really good 3 point shooter. And Toney has good stats, but I am less familiar with him. I guess they really lack quality size...at least with any offensive skill.
2/17/2021 7:50:39 PM
Didn't watch the game because I was working late, but holy fucking shit, when your best player plays 30+ minutes, he gets his stats and we have a chance at winning. It's a christmas miracle. You will never convince me that Keatts hasn't single-handedly screwed any draft potential DJ may have had by fucking around with his minutes so much. It doesn't help that our guards and/or offense can't regularly get him the ball.Hayes also breaks 30 minutes for the first time all season and drops 9 dimes. BB plays role player minutes and he has a good shooting night and contributes well off the bench. This is obvious shit people on this board have been calling for all season. I feel bad for Allen being hurt, but I am not sure it's not addition by subtraction there either.
2/17/2021 8:58:15 PM
Glad we were able to pull it out!!! After Seabron’s awful pass that caused a back court violation and then a terrible possession with a minute to go where we didn’t pass the ball at all and Hayes jacked up a brick I thought we were doomed.
2/17/2021 11:14:21 PM
Hayes was really good yesterday. Seems like he really hit a slump where he was struggling (which is to be expected for a freshman) especially when faced with heavy defensive pressure. But he stepped up big time. Obviously he had the travel near the end but I think we all agree that was a pretty bad call.

I've met Chase a few times and he's exactly what you want from a walk-on/bench player. Great dude, high energy, great attitude.
