Cleverly also has started every game for England under Hodgson. I'm sorry I just don't see it.

Arsenal team to face Tottenham: Szczesny, Jenkinson, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs, Ramsey, Wilshere, Rosicky, Cazorla, Walcott, Giroud

Subs: Fabianski, Sagna, Monreal, Flamini, Zelalem, Gnabry, Sanogo

Tottenham team to face Arsenal: Lloris; Walker, Dawson, Vertonghen, Rose; Capoue, Paulinho; Townsend, Dembele, Chadli; Soldado

Subs: Lamela, Friedel, Naughton, Holtby, Lamela, Sandro, Sigurdsson, Defoe

Really thankful that Sanogo and Flamini aren't starting.

Cleverley is still young. People want him to be Paul Scholes. I don't think he and Carrick in the same midfield works.

That midfield selection was atrocious and cost them the match

Cleverley just doesn't have the quality to play in a top side imo and I'm blown away that Kagawa didn't even make the bench."

I agree with all of this except for the Cleverly part. He's still young and only needs to be playing against teams like Wigan, Swansea, etc.

Cannot believe Giggs got the start in this game, ostensibly on the right (he was never there. not once), over Valencia. Cannot believe that Kagawa wasn't even on the fucking bench. The long ball shit is horrendous. I think Carrick had a total of 15 successful passes in the first half, mainly because Moyes seems to have decided that booting the ball upfield to Danny "Take a touch" Welbeck is a viable offensive solution.

As I've said, Capoue is a donkey on the ball. Just nothing there...

Wilshere off injured clearly to make room for Ozil

He was good on the ball earlier this match. People were bouncing off of him. I don't think he's ready for a match of this calibre yet. He's clearly not comfortable out on the pitch yet. I fault him for the goal for not stepping out to whoever passed to Walcott. It created indecision for Rose who didn't follow Walcott out wide. Sandro needs to come on at the half.

I'll say if Spurs had a class AM of Cazorla quality they would be top rate. They just don't have that technical ability to create chances against top sides. Still expect them to score so we need one more.

They really don't Can't wait for Eriksen to come into the side. We don't have a player that will operate higher up the pitch and keep all the other players moving. Leads to a lot of standing around waiting for something to happen.

I've held my tongue until now, but I'm a bit drunk and it's the middle of the NLD. NyM410's constant fellating of Spurs on here in order to seem objective is starting to drive me nuts.

It might be a bit unfair that we lost that game, but that was a huge mistake we made to let the goal happen.

Lloris is a god.

Not even a little unfair. Buy some technical ability. Arsenal created a ton chances and were rock solid at back.

Cuz ya'll pretty much just parked the bus and counter-attacked the entire game. Not that it was a bad strategy but Arsenal did not even come close to dominating that game.

Cazorla weighs 90 pounds. Capoue's leg must be made of glass.

they came very close to dominating it. if you win 3-0, then you damn sure dominated the game, and Arsenal came very close to winning 3-0.

BTW, the Triangle Gooners, which more or less consisted of me and three or four other people stuck in a bar with ManU and Liverpool fans when I lived in Raleigh four years ago, had over 80 people out at Bull McCabes this morning. Great stuff.

And I'm done praising them. I hope today and God willing tomorrow reminds them of the natural order of things..

Quote :
"David Moyes faces a frantic last day of the transfer window after an unconvincing display from Manchester United's midfield reinforced the need for a major signing before the 11pm deadline.

Athletic Bilbao's Ander Herrera and Everton's Marouane Fellaini and Leighton Baines are targets but Moyes may have to return to their respective clubs with a final, deal-making offer.

Daniel Sturridge's goal at Anfield consigned Moyes's side to a league start of four points from three games. Yet the Scot claimed that on the basis of what he described as United's "best performance" so far, he would not be concerned if no additions were brought in before Monday's deadline. The manager has had a €30m (£25.5m) offer for Herrera and a £36m joint bid for Fellaini and Baines rejected while he has also inquired about Roma's Daniele De Rossi."

uh... pardon?

best performance so far?

not concerned?

Top of the table Liverpool get Moses on season loan from Chelsea. Also sign central defenders Sakho from PSG and Tiago Ilori from Lisbon.

John Cross reporting Ozil has agreed personal terms. Quite simply, a world class AM.

Di Maria out wise a possibility as is Abel Hernandez (high ceiling, low results) to cover Giroud.

Announcement at 1 PM EST.

Ba allegedly having a medial as well and Emiliano Viviano joining on loan to provide some competition in goal. Looks suspiciously like Almunia, though.

Özil is signing of the decade for Arse. Good business for sure.

Now if we can stop fucking about at Carrington and bring on Fellaini and Herrera I'll be happy.
