Yeah basically. I really liked the chain of events that lead to the shootout but then they went all hollywood with the stormtrooper aim and cliffhanger.

It shoulda just ended with Hank and Gomie getting shot to shit all sudden like.. maybe take one or two nazis out for good measure but no superhero bullshit. He said goodbye to Marie(sorta).. I don't see any logical way out for him at this point, and don't see the point in prolonging the inevitable.

That being said, loved the episode until the shooting started. Lance!

The thing that bothered me about the shootout is that we know what's going to happen... Walt doesn't end up in jail so clearly Hank and Gomez bite it.

So I figured the episode would either end just before Todd's guys pull the trigger or with Hank and Gomez dying. But then when it went into an extended shootout with not a single person getting hit, I was like "WTF"...

Maybe the length of the shoot out was just to show who many bullets were used. Maybe hank died 10 seconds in.

I think ^ is a real possibility. It seems like there's no way Hank and Gomez will survive this. They showed Jesse looking like he was slinking away, but he has no where to run/escape to. My first thought was that Walt would be taken by Todd and that group and be forced to cook. But if they don't kidnap Jesse then I think Jesse's gotta die now. Walt had ordered Jesse's murder...no way Jesse's gonna survive unless Todd and his uncle's gang abduct him and force him to cook, right?

Great episode though.

With Hank and Gomie dead, Walt has no reason to kill Jesse, right? So maybe he sells him off to the Nazi dudes. Maybe Todd is dead. Not sure how that plays into the M60 which totally has to be for the Nazis.

I don't think this is necessarily true. I can't think of any conceivable way they get out of this, but to me the whole foreshadowing of Hank's death with the phone call to Marie was way too obvious. I think it might have been intentionally misleading, especially since the episode ended on a cliffhanger. I feel like if Hank was going to die it would have happened then. It will be a weird open to the next episode if he does. That said, I have no idea how else this situation could possibly be resolved, but it's Breaking Bad, so something completely insane and unexpected may happen.

^I was thinking along the same lines as well. As unpredictable as this show is, Hank and Gomez dying is an incredibly predictable thing to leave as a cliff hanger.

But I really see no way that they get out of this shoot out

How I could see this playing out:

Could see Hank being dead or kidnapped, Gomey dead for sure, and Jesse being taken to cook for Todd and his uncle. Marie can't get in touch with Hank, thinks the worst because she knew he was with Walt, flips out and trashes Walt's house. The guns in Walt's car are him going to save Jesse and potentially Hank.

I could see Hank dying or staying alive, I'm not really sure why they'd want Hank alive, but not sure why they wouldn't just have them kill them to finish the episode as a crazy final moment of the episode.

Could see Todd dying and that's why they're forced to use Jesse. Not like they don't know about Brock and Andrea so they have easy access to leverage over him.

There was a debate on Reddit about that, and the consensus from watching it frame by frame seemed to be that it was just shadows, but I dunno, he definitely reacted like he got shot.

Hank surviving and somehow escaping but Gomez dying would put Hank in a pretty bad position. Suddenly he's got a dead agent from an off-the-books operation.

Yeah, I rolled my eyes a bit when the shoot out started and everyone's aim went to shit, but after watching it a couple more times I think the show's cinematography was a little bit to blame. The distance between Hank/Gomie and the Nazi's was further than it seemed. Also, the angle of the shots with the car in the way was deceptive. In other words, those weren't easy shots by any means. Still, with all those bullets flying, someone should have gotten hit by the time the credits rolled.
