Season ticket holders are able to purchase all 3 games for $30. I think they are $15 each otherwise.

damn, after two games he's avergaging 19.5 points and 11.5 rebounds in 29.5 mins. Of course, those numbers will likely decline as the competition improves and CJ and (maybe?) De Thaey come back.
11/14/2011 1:26:41 PM
CJ coming back will definitely steal a few minutes but some of those will come from Painter/Vandy/Wood/CJW as well. 30 minutes is about Howell's ceiling for minutes and 25 is probably the floor.hahaha what an epic backtrack. 6 months ago Howell didn't have the skills to average a double - double. Now we've got a hey now saying oh I just think he'll average 9.5 rebounds. You fucking clown that essentially is a double double. Don't even try to play the literal card after you said there was no way he could ever do it.
11/14/2011 2:06:05 PM
Look genious, you said a double-double. (Thanks for taking the bait on the 9.5 comment) You know how many times that's been done in NC State history? That's why I said I would take the bet in a heartbeat. Calm the fuck down.Face is ready to put Howell in the HOF after grabbing 15 rebs vs a 6'5 center. I still believe he'll be a solid player for us, but struggle vs quality bigs on decent teams. ]

^For some reason it's often not resolved before their arrival on campus. Kanter at Kentucky sat out the entire season.
11/14/2011 2:47:36 PM
^^i did say "and CJ and (maybe?) De Thaey come back"And isn't it possible that this issue has been known by the coaches for months now, and they were just hoping it would be resolved before the season. and now we're just finding out about it becuase he hasn't been resolved yet, and the season has started and he wasn't on the floor.[Edited on November 14, 2011 at 2:55 PM. ^probablyThe assist:turnover ratio so far for the team is amazing. only Painter and Raymond are worse than a 1:1 ratio, and painter's isn't bad for a center/PF at .75And leading the team:TBDV!! 2:0 A:TO ratio More seriously:Williams 7:1Brown 15:5

Has anyone stated that we hope Calvin Leslie isn't a poison on this team? Granted we haven't seen him play, against other teams, but... everyone agrees the team looks sharp. At least the system, the hustle, the attitudes, the substitution chemistry all look sharp. Everything appears so good right now with this team it only seems some NC State shit for Leslie to come back and only have a possible negative impact. I'm just simply concerned that's all. It's more than likely with this TRUE uptempo fast break (not the Sidney Lowe b.s.) that Leslie can thrive and be a great asset but, then again, we are NC State. Has anyone else thought about this? This is simply a "I'm concerned" statement. Not really a knock on Mr. Calvin.
11/15/2011 10:31:07 AM
I think MG will handle it
11/15/2011 10:33:50 AM
i've thought about it, and think he'll be fine. no need to worry, unless it happens.
11/15/2011 10:37:50 AM
I was pleased to see how enthusiastic he was during the Morehead State game. He usually just mopes around when he's on the bench. Maybe the suspension will do some good.

So who wants to fork over the $20.00 subscription fee and share ken pomeroy's predictions for NCSU?

De Thaey's twitter account is implying he may be back.

Haven't been able to watch one of our games yet. How do our defensive sets look?
11/16/2011 11:05:10 AM
we look shaky on defense.
11/16/2011 11:25:57 AM
We play great defense. Our biggest flaw in our last game was when we'd try to double team and trap, leaving the open offensive man to get open for some easy shots. We could do a little better rebounding, too, but otherwise I thought we did a great job getting to players on the perimeter and guarding inside.
11/16/2011 11:28:34 AM
^^Agreed. I've been to each game, and we go through stretches of laziness. Too many reach in fouls resulting from not moving their feet. Wood is the main culprit. Hasn't been a big deal due to the competition. ]
11/16/2011 11:29:31 AM
Wood and Vandy definitely have to cut down on the stupid reach-ins when they let their defenders get by them, but I think we'll get better at rotating around and helping out on defense. It seems like a different, overplaying type of philosophy than we've had before.
11/16/2011 11:46:30 AM
Defense is something that takes a lot of practice and experience..our guys have no experience in playing great defense...i've seen really good stretches of great effort on D, but they're going to need to learn to stop the stupid fouls..especially Vandy
11/16/2011 11:46:58 AM
Excuse me for starting rumors here, but does anybody think its weird that Cliff Crawford is so close to the current players, especially the freshmen? Most of them follow and talk to him on twitter, and its not like he's exactly a NCSU great. Just thinking about the "former player" that had something to do with the recent issue of illegal benefits. Just thinking out loud here.
11/16/2011 12:22:44 PM
Vandy's our goon, i imagine he'll come in with the assignment "don't let them score inside." hopefully a clean block, but if not, a foul.
11/16/2011 12:23:22 PM
^^Cool post, bro.
11/16/2011 12:23:58 PM
Ah, I misread the part about the car. It says former student, not former student athlete. I retract my former statement. ^dont have to be so hostile geez
11/16/2011 12:35:18 PM
5th in the nation in assists per game......through 3 games, but awesome that we distribute that well.
11/16/2011 11:16:39 PM
so i mean, we're fucked w/o scott wood, right?
11/17/2011 4:30:38 AM
Just guessing but Lo Brown has to be right there for the national lead in steals after registering 13 in the last 2 games.
11/17/2011 5:40:55 AM
11/17/2011 7:46:01 AM
Eh...Wood's injury really fucks up our tournament chances. Definitely the pessimist in me, but I see us losing most, if not all of our good OOC games if he's on the sidelines. That will not be good for our tourney resume. We're definitely going to have to go 10-6 to get in...or 9-7 and a deep ACC tourney run.
11/17/2011 8:22:55 AM
makes sense. If he's out for say, 4 weeks, that's against all of our high major competition until conference play starts in January.this sucks
11/17/2011 8:36:44 AM
Richard Howell is 16.3 ppg and 10.7 reb but anyone who knows anything about basketball knows that you can't take a guys stats and just look at them and then try to figure out what kind of stats he might get. Its much better to just think things and then say them and then believe them.
