sometimes TT's style works against him

a standard butterfly goalie puts that in the corner or squeezes it off in the armpit

Quote :
"Don't want to detail this too much, but the only way I see expansion being viable is if the NHL moves to an AHL scheduling format... I only say this because eventually deserving cities are going to want NHL franchises and there won't be any available to buy and relocate.

That in mind, here are places that I could see the NHL placing teams:
Quebec City
Hamilton
Winnipeg
Seattle
Houston

Here are the teams that I think could move:
Florida
Atlanta
Buffalo (simply because the economy there is in the shitter, but I doubt they ever move the team)
Phoenix
New Jersey (maybe the attendance has changed... but I just don't see them as a long term team)

After typing all of this... seems expansion would not be necessary IF you just swapped all of these teams/cities.

I am going to go shoot myself in the face for all of this drivel"

Seattle could be a nice fit if the Yotes move in 2012-13.

They mentioned Kansas City, Quebec City and Hamilton. I could support any of those places over Sunrise, FL.

what a brutal schedule for the Final.

1 game between tomorrow and next Saturday. Screw you NBC.

and forget Seattle. No more teams in any 1/2 baked US cities until the Nordiques get back to Quebec, Quebec.

They have to get the NBA's sloppy seconds. They know they'll get murdered if they go up against LeBron and Dirk.

if there was ever a great reason to trim the reg season schedule a shade and start the season a week earlier, not going up against the NBA final has to be it.

Makes too much sense.

No reason to shorten the season... agree with starting a week earlier or later to avoid the NBA finals.

I agree with Vulcan here... Seattle fans are great. The Seahawks have sold out for years in a row now I believe. They support the MLS team rabidly. While there may be a lot of pot heads and what have you there... it's a very progressive place.

I believe the major problem was getting the city to fund a new arena..... maybe with two stable tenants it'll happen.

I'll take Vancouver in 6 to continue the streak of cups won on the road. Also, Mark Recchi is two years older than the Canucks organization (1968 and 1970).

ill take vancouver (in 5) to keep the cup of out shitty boston

also id like to see if there is anything fun the media can do with the cup going back to a canadian city... and itd be a heck of a year (and a half) for that city being that the gold medal was won there last year for the home country
