The bf got a new car last year that had XM included for one year. Well that time is up now and they keep harassing him with different monthly amounts for radio, he's told them to fuck off. I think at first they wanted to charge $40/mo. and now they're down to $19/mo. Ridickerous.

ha, speaking of xm radio, I just cut the POS magnetic antenna off of mine. Damn thing was apparently sliding around anytime I ran it through the car wash and it's scratched the hell out of a 6" area on the top of the cab. Don't use it so it was pretty useless to me anyways..

all the channels on XM make it easy to find something you wanna listen to, even if one channel gets a random commercial there's always something else on.

i put my direct deposit to change the percentages as to what money goes where through our automated hr system

i balance it between three accounts

i'm dropping the one that initally was the primary out, since it is non interest bearing

however, i did it early march, thinking it'd take hold on the march paycheck, last day of the month

coinciding with this, i moved my mortgage direct pay to this account as well, which previously had just been a play account for cash, since they also offered 100% atm fee refunds

they do this because they have very few physical branches, as it's primarily an online provider

just looked, the rebalancing of the direct deposits arent going into effect until the end of april

now im worried that the mortgage payment might overdraft/bounce my account, since i dont load too much in there on the previous allocations

so i tried to transfer $2k to the brokerage account i have with the same provider, since online transfers from other checking accounts into the checking account is not supported for free, then i was going to transfer the 2k as a cushion into the checking to make sure i dont overdraft on the mortgage payment

now, it seems as if those funds are held in some magical state where i can trade with them, but i cannot "withdraw" them which would be necessary to move to the checking account

so now, im curious as to how im going to get money into that account by april 1st

since i have no idea if there's a physical location i can make a deposit at anywhere near me at all

however, if my math is right, with the previous allocation to that account, and the current balance, it should be ok, but i dont like to get within like $500 of over drafting, esp. on something like a mortgage payment. and of course it's larger now b/c i just so happened to pick this month to up my 401k contributions by another 5% and add $500 to the principle payment on the mortgage.

I got a big promotion over a month ago, and am now a manager with 13 engineers reporting to me.

Not only did i not get any semblance of a raise, I effectively took a $15k/year pay cut by not having to work on-call shifts as a manager. My new boss has promised me a raise by the next quarter, but he also promised me that the raise would be taken care of "in about a month" when I accepted the new job.
