Mini camp starts today.
5/2/2008 9:17:38 AM
Hopefully Peppers is cured from his syphilis of last year and gets more than 2.5 fucking sacks
5/2/2008 11:48:23 AM
pep had syphillis? that explains alot....
5/2/2008 11:56:24 AM
5/2/2008 4:18:23 PM
sounds great!
5/2/2008 4:28:14 PM
isnt the right side like the easier side? hopefully peppers gets 6.02x10^23 sacks this year
5/2/2008 6:58:18 PM
Peppers at RDE makes we think we're leaning towards starting Brayton at LDECould be a good move, I think he was always projected to be on the right side - Rucker was just already there
5/2/2008 9:27:12 PM
Right End is usually easier to get thru because most teams put their best tackle on the left to protect the QB's blindside if he's right handedBut teams can still stack the TE and double him if we're not getting any pressure elsewhere
5/2/2008 9:46:02 PM
I thought RE was where the LT lined up? and most teams run the TE to the weak side (RT).Either way, I'm glad Connor can get some reps. We will need him.
5/3/2008 3:58:12 AM
Special teams definitely, but unless Beason stays injured, Connor isn't going to see much time this year.
5/3/2008 4:37:59 PM
Moore was supposedly looking pretty good in the minicamp this weekend.http://www.charlotte.com/507/story/611533.htmlpeople are even starting to throw "heir apparent" out there.

Second that... good return guy. Not to mention he's a Wolf.
5/10/2008 6:16:42 PM
yeah thats what i was thinking...idk if we still use gamble on returns or what but when i read that he had like 600 yards returning i was like shit put him there
5/10/2008 6:18:02 PM
there's no way they're gonna sign him. John Fox and Hurney don't like players with questionable characters.
5/10/2008 7:13:28 PM
well, and this is a big if, but IF he could keep his head on straight i feel he would like being in NC again and play better

it'd be great if Torry Holt comes play for the Panthers in 2 years. Moose probably be retiring by then.
5/11/2008 10:54:59 AM
so how many of yall go to the games? I will be hitting up charlotte a good 5-6 weekends this fall!!!
5/12/2008 7:15:32 PM
I go. I have season tickets, and to be honest, I've been so drunk for all of the games that I don't remember what section they're in. But we tailgate out back of Hardigan's, which is an awesome lesbian bar.

http://sports.aol.com/fanhouse/2008/05/13/former-panther-curtis-whitley-found-dead/Curtis Whitley found deadCurtis Whitley, a center who started all 16 games of the Carolina Panthers' inaugural 1995 season, was found dead in Texas. He was 39 years old. Family members said Monday night that they learned earlier in the day that Whitley, who turned 39 on Saturday, had been found dead in Texas, where he was living. They were awaiting details about the cause of his death.Whitley, who was with the San Diego Chargers, was selected by the Panthers in the expansion draft and started every game during the team's first season. That season was played at Clemson's Memorial Stadium, where Whitley starred at during the early 1990s. He would start eight games during the 1996 season, but then was suspended for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy. He would come back and play for the Raiders in 1997, but was suspended again in '98 ... ending his career. It was originally thought that the suspensions were due to alcohol abuse, but Whitley later admitted that he was using crystal meth.[Edited on May 13, 2008 at 2:40 PM. Reason : I know some of his family in Smithfield. Curtis has always battled addiction.]

5/13/2008 7:27:43 PM
crapthere goes the season
5/13/2008 7:36:23 PM
some people would say i go to a majority of the games..... and by that i mean every game in panther history
5/13/2008 7:44:29 PM
^congrats, not everybody has rich parents like yours that's willing to pay for tickets.
5/13/2008 7:53:37 PM
thank you, thank you...must say it has been amazing though being 1st generation panthers. when the franchise is 50years old its gonna be cool to look back at all the history of the team and say i was there for it all.ps: you can get season tickets in the upper deck for $480. well, not anymore but thats about the rate. [Edited on May 13, 2008 at 7:57 PM. Reason : tickets]
5/13/2008 7:57:08 PM
thats not even worth it. i'd much rather sit in the comfort of my own home and watch on tv than pay out the ass for the privilege of watching specks run around a mile away
5/13/2008 8:01:42 PM
actually seats in the upper endzones are good views. you can see the entire field and actually watch plays develop. i've sat down low for a few games and when the ball moves to the opposite end of the field its nearly impossible to tell yardages. plus with people standing up to go to the bathroom or whatever your view gets blocked.
5/13/2008 8:07:30 PM
i've got seats around the 20 yard line up in the 500 level but i love it...i like seeing the 11 on 11 action and all the blocking and schemes and holes and everything...some people would rather be a lot closer though
5/13/2008 8:08:56 PM
5/13/2008 8:09:22 PM
Plus there really aren't any bad views in that stadium. I've sat at the very top many times -- so high up you can literally rest your head on the stadium wall -- and I could see the field just fine.Did I have a good time? Yes, but the panthers lost at the last second, which makes the walk out of the stadium pretty miserable. Is it worth the $40 I paid for a ticket? No.
5/13/2008 8:45:43 PM
if we hadnt lost would it be worth the $40?
