Lollapalooza is going to be insane this year with that lineup. Do I dare do it again?

Also, pitchfork.tv launched today and has a performance of Bangers and Mash

last week, a wolfwebber who for now shall remain nameless, while watching the video for bodysnatchers, says, "i dont understand how anyone can like this band. all their songs sound the same and his voice is awful".

it took about all i could take to not go off on his ass

Hey man, welcome to life.

There are some people who may not like the same things as you and there are others who may disagree with you. That's one thing you music snobs need to figure out one way or another...

^ Oh we know that. Similar to the way the other guy won't understand why we like x, y or z so much, we don't understand why he won't like x, y or z so much.

Funny that you can't tolerate it when we do it, but sanction it when someone else does.

It's would be more accurate to compare it to someone trying to help out the mentally handicapped. We're not making fun, we just want to lend a hand to those with malfunctioning ears.

Is that the one where Thom keeps saying "and this song is brought to you by _______ (fill in some huge corporation)?" That was a good recording. I love the version of Karma Police at that show.

I have a bit of a conundrum and I come to the wise TWW'ers for some advice.

I am currently in Section 1 row K for the Charlotte show, which is the 2nd row behind the pit (pit ends and the first row of the seats starts at J, from what I can see on the seating chart).

I have a chance to get a pit ticket from one friend and give those other seats in row K to another friend.

Has anyone seen a show at this venue where they have had a pit? If so, do you know if those rows of seats are a bit elevated above the pit?

It's not like I'm going to fight my way up to the front of the fucking stage even if I am in the pit, so if the row K seats are a bit elevated, I'm possibly better served to stay in my current position (not to mention getting to hang out and see the show with some peeps I haven't seen in a while).

For those of you who have seen a show at this venue, what would you do and why?

Thanks.

Nah, I don't mind that at all... I just question whether I'll realistically have that much better of a view up in the pit than from the 2nd row.
As of now, I'm leaning towards keeping my 2nd row seat, but I'm just bad for 2nd guessing my decisions, I guess.

the seats aren't raised that much above the pit until you get to the upper rows

my uncle took me to NIN since nobody else would go, and we were 4 rows from the pit... not that it mattered, you could still clearly see everything on stage from there

plus everyone in the seated section stood for nearly the whole show anyhow

you have to protect your seats, though: sometimes drunken scrubs come down from higher seats to mix into your row and shit- I will be in full elbow mode if any fuckers try that this time

^ yeah, someone will have their nose broken if they impede on my seating, lol.

I expected to be standing for all of Radiohead, of course, but I was just wondering whether there was any advantage to pit over reserved when you're that close and vice versa.

I really appreciate the advice!

And I'm stoked about the show in Charlotte on the 9th. However, I have an extra ticket because the girl I was going to take gave me the "I need some space" talk yesterday. Turns out everyone seems to be busy that weekend.
