the argument would be to generate more overall interest, having them fly off the shelves (potentially creating even more interest). then they could sell out for longer periods of time. im sure they'll do fine either way.as for el nacho. i cant decide whether to agree or not. nintendo and sony are both new items this year, but ms and sony are more comparable. I guess a better way of wording it is this. Sony and MS will be competing in the long haul for hardcore next gen system sales.I believe that for the most part Sony and Nintendo will be competing next month for the "OMG IT'S NEW I GOTTA HAVE ONE OF THOSE" sales. That's all.

I'm curious to see what kinda 3 party controllers come out
10/5/2006 12:40:43 AM
wireless nunchuck
10/5/2006 4:05:15 AM
Nintendo will probably have shitty third party support in the long run (again). There will be a whole bunch of games at launch. Then one new game will come out once a month. Every other month that game will be a new version of Mario Party.
10/5/2006 7:23:32 AM
^don't count on that dude, the developers themselves ALL had positives things to say about making games for the Wiiexcept this system to be huge
10/5/2006 8:56:00 AM
The Gamecube wasn't huge the first time they released it. Why would a $250 controller be any different.
10/5/2006 10:26:00 AM
Because it looks fun. fun drives sales you retard. Stop trying to troll this thread because you'll look back and feel like a douche when nintendo sells these things like hotcakes.Oh, and 250 dollars aint shit. Go make some money dude.
10/5/2006 12:42:06 PM
Damn chill the fuck out.
10/5/2006 2:24:20 PM
EB just updated their website saying they''ll send out preorder info soon. Of course, this is prolly just a lie because Josh said they won''t be doing pre orders.
10/5/2006 3:25:38 PM
i agree. i am the word.[Edited on October 5, 2006 at 4:22 PM. Reason : 4]

don't listen to me, I obviously have NO idea what Gamestop is doing.*cough* next week *cough*

Credit Cards Required to Play Demo Wii at Gamestop

You have to deposit your baby.

From what I heard...They'll have pre orders online, and then its up to each individual manager on if their store will do pre order or first come first serve. Pre orders will start the 10th. Nod your head nrmiller if this is correct
10/6/2006 1:44:07 PM
I cannot confirm or deny those claims. All stores will be doing pre-orders, but giving out specific info via the internet is prohibited.

We finally get some clarification as to what the controller glove actually is. Oh and would you look at that. Joshnumbers was wrong. Imagine that.
10/8/2006 8:27:30 AM
whoever didnt think itd be that silicone skin is dumb.
10/8/2006 9:49:50 AM
That would be Joshnumbers.

Is this one of those times where you say something and everyone knows you're wrong so we shouldn't bother wasting our time pointing it out? Because you know how I love to point out when you're wrong. I can do it here too. Is that what you want Josh?
10/8/2006 11:20:27 AM
i'll help out
10/8/2006 12:16:14 PM
I'm pretty sure that this is one of the times Josh was talking about when he said this:
10/8/2006 12:36:53 PM
10/8/2006 12:40:21 PM
The Nintendo Wii will probably come packaged with 24 gold Spanish doubloons. Keep in mind I said probably, so if it doesn't...I'm still right
10/8/2006 12:59:57 PM
^not only right, but "100 percent correct"apparently, as long as I precede every single thought with "probably", then I'll always be 100% right about everything.Seriously, get rid of this troll
10/8/2006 1:14:19 PM
The items in the picture are gloves with straps. The straps are just that...straps. But the gloves are the actual things that go around the remote and fit...like a glove. The glove themselves have absolutely NOTHING to do with securing the remote to your hand. That's what the matching strap is for.Josh, you are 100% wrong. Again. Please refrain from posting in this thread ever again.

It is not a true statement if I do not have evidence supporting my claim.
10/8/2006 2:05:40 PM
Since I do though, it is. http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=glove&btnG=Google+Search&sa=N&tab=wi
10/8/2006 2:20:19 PM
I'm just going to ignore you...continue to make your claims though, they're amusing.
10/8/2006 2:25:24 PM
I dont need to continue, I have nothing to claim right now.
10/8/2006 2:36:18 PM
It's funny, because every single one of those pictures actually goes against your claim, but please, continue to make yourself look like an idiot, it's kind of amusing at this point. In a sad way.
10/8/2006 6:43:14 PM
youve got some fragile emotions there.

no one will go to Target to check out the Wii, they aren't even getting interactives
10/8/2006 8:15:40 PM
To check it out? no. To buy it? I don't see why not.I'll bet you have a MUCH better chance of picking one up there than you would EB/Gamespot on Launch day.
10/8/2006 8:46:13 PM
all depends on the customerif you are dumb enough NOT to pre-order, than you don't deserve to get onewe are supposed to be getting enough for all of our pre-order customers, supposedly
10/8/2006 9:17:46 PM
^ supposedly is the key word.If you can not 100% guarantee me a Wii on Launch Day...I'm not preordering.
10/8/2006 9:19:42 PM
seriously. preordering has become so gay.
10/8/2006 9:27:01 PM
If it comes down to EB saying I prolly will get a system on launch, I'd rather sit out for a night at best buy or target etc with some friends and make sure I get it
10/8/2006 9:43:32 PM
Yeah I'm definitely not preordering, and I seriously doubt I'll have any problem getting one on launch day wherever I decide to go[Edited on October 8, 2006 at 9:45 PM. Reason : not including ebgames]
10/8/2006 9:45:07 PM
they are shipping an assload of them and i dont think they have the buzz that 360's had going into the holidays (though it is still a bit away)[Edited on October 8, 2006 at 9:47 PM. Reason : and before you whine, yes, i understand hardcore gamers are interested, but other ppl...we'll see]
10/8/2006 9:46:53 PM
Another plus is that people getting a Wii won't have to choose between a basic or premium pack. Nobody's going home disappointed that they could only manage to get a Wii core system
