It wasn't the FBI. It was a Durham detective, (dual badged with the Cyber Task Force US Marshals) in Durham, using FBI and SBI "national security" approved MFT analysis kits. In this case, MFT means Make Fony Turds because I have yet to hear them describe accurately the operating system that dude had on his computer.

It was a Vista Business 64 back rev'd to XP Pro. And they wonder why there were time stamp errors? Because Cary Po-Po screwed up the whole she-bang. Between Wake County DA's being involved and Cary Police running the investigation, you are lucky your cat isn't indicted and doing life on it.

I speak from personal experience and I am pretty sure a few of you have enjoyed how retarded this place is. Jackleg?

And the two dorks at the FBI office in Cary didn't touch any of this...they were like...umm, 438 pieces of straw. She was an excellent driver. Excellent driver.

(If you've met them, you will get that...if not, think Rain Man, only the ending was Tom Cruise had a car accident and ended up brain damaged and he and his brother got to run an FBI field office)

Actually, one really was FBI, the others were Durham/Cary cops working with the FBI. They got involved because the FBI asked to get involved in this specific case.

Special Agent Johnson? (I can't help but want to make Johnson and Johnson jokes) Yeah, he didn't bring much to the table. It was Chappell and the phantom google map-a-thon perpetrated by Officer Hayes (who also provided testificationamony about the phantom piece of straw) that screwed Cooper.

Also, I cannot believe Officer Hayes testified in open court that he had not been to the crime scene or outside his vehicle at the crime scene when he is clearly seen in the Sky5 (Wral Chopper) footage standing in the straw at the edge of the roadway.

Welcome to North Carolina, Canadians. This is your future!

[Edited on August 15, 2011 at 10:34 AM. Reason : Officer Hayes likes his google maps. And HE was alone with the computer.]

the guy left in the house with Brad Cooper, whoever it was. He was the guy who did that google map search.

this guy. If he ain't a googler, I don't know what one looks like.

FBI has no cyber task force.

They have CART. The Chapell guy's second badge the day on the stand was a Marshall's star.

Either way, the guy was an idiot on the stand. Marshal, FBI, or Durham cop doesn't make much difference.

Where'd you get this from? It was regular Windows Vista, not XP at all, on the Cisco domain, according to the Cooper webpage.

Phew - 149 pages is a lot.

I read the blogs (so I know the story), and the first few pages here; but the general vibe of the thread seems to have shifted from "Poor woman... probably dead. Wouldn't be surprised if it was the husband!" to "They are wrongly accusing the husband!"

What's the dealio?

Testing started September 2009 for VOIP guys. (I think this would have been brought up had they let any of the defense witnesses in) Either way, guy got screwed and somehow, we are still talking about it.

That can't be good. This thread started in...July 2008? Eek.

Exactly! TWW saved my rec soccer career. I was lucky to get on a new Men's Open C team being formed by TASL in the spring of 2010. I had seen some people post on here that they played in that league, so I started a season thread. My team needed more players and I had the duty of being team captain dumped on me, so I recruited elduderino since he was looking for a team. I had a blast playing with him and against God, kiljadn, Jkumar923, and d7freestyler. Too bad we lost both times.

Then the fall 2010 season came along and only 3 of us wanted to return to my team, so I managed to sign a few players from the player pool, but still needed more, so I signed God, statered, ToastyMuffin, aaronian, and harmemou. That put the roster at 18. TASL requires a minimum of 14 players on roster. Life without tww would have resulted in my team folding.

Then after the fall 2010 season I had a bunch of guys quit because of work, school, etc. aaronian returned, but I also signed soc33com, markgoal, and amac884. They were guys I met on tww. They were some of the best players on the team. Thanks to them we improved our record from the season before.

Now this season aaronian and me are the only twwers on my team, but we will get to play against Jkumar923, and d7freestyler like always. Hopefully we win since our roster is looking nice and their's is short last I heard.

I also met Joie and JTMONEYNCSU at one of the games while I sat there watching Cody's team play.

Then there is the coed team that JTMONEYNCSU and kiljadn run which has also had multiple twwers on it in the past.

Opstand and me also attend the same pickup game on the same day sometimes. We have a good time doing that too.

Thanks to tww, a lot of people get to enjoy playing league soccer and the only way you get to do that is if you have a friend on the team, or make connections with a team captain.

The FBI office for this region is located in Cary[/quote]
actually, what happened is that the prosecution wanted to hide behind "national security" in a random-assed murder case in NC so that they could deny the defendant due process.

Quote :
"They got involved because the FBI asked to get involved in this specific case."

Source?

actually, calling this case an example of shoddy police work is an offense to those who do shoddy police work.
