i was thinking maybe one car was sold 7 different times and re-registered every time, but i could be wrongbut i assumed the VIN was tied to all the plates so i dunno

well well well...that's just a tad bit shady
6/16/2011 3:08:04 PM

^4 No I understand what the database is doing. I'm just saying that XZW9689 is not tied directly to RTV6111, but they are both tied to the Charger. So I would think there are 8 individuals here that all drove the Charger at one point in time... no?[Edited on June 16, 2011 at 3:13 PM. Reason : .]

Denial, not just a river in Egypt
6/16/2011 3:15:09 PM
i mean i got like 3 or 4 tickets at State, but how did all of these football players rack up these tickets? it tells me that:A)they're fucking morons who don't learn their lesson B)they parked wherever they wanted because they knew any ticket would be taken care ofC) both A and B
6/16/2011 3:16:24 PM
Ovies just said on air that one car (Same VIN) had two tickets with two different license plates within 48hrs
6/16/2011 3:36:31 PM
What I still don't understand is how UNC is attributing tickets to players when they are driving someone else's car. Someone on twitter, ErinSummers I think, reported that one of the Dodges was registered to Greg Little's dad, I know when I got a ticket at UNC in a car registered to my dad they sent the bill to him. Someone explain this to me.[Edited on June 16, 2011 at 3:38 PM. Reason : not Dinnich]

6/16/2011 3:38:34 PM
^what does that mean? doesn't sound good for UNC if I am reading that correctly.
6/16/2011 3:40:39 PM
^ Well in theory you can't enroll for classes if you have unpaid fines. So then how did these guys stay academically eligible if they weren't paying their fines and therefore enrolling in classes?[Edited on June 16, 2011 at 3:42 PM. Reason : ...]

UNC probably doesn't realize that the Division of Motor Vehicles can disprove their doctored and redacted spreadsheets
6/16/2011 3:42:48 PM
presumably they could be held in contempt for this sort of nonsense unfortunately its a lot harder to punish an organization than person for refusing to follow court orders

Gold and Ovies killing it here.
6/16/2011 3:53:02 PM
so far the summary is..they released a spreadsheet style summary, not the tickets themselves.11 or less players accumulated 400 tickets over a year period or so.some are STILL unpaid.players with unpaid tickets we assume still are enrolled which is against university policy and therefore preferential treatment to players.numerous cars have been given tickets with the same license plate #they havent released the phone records, just total minutesUNC is in deep doo doo
6/16/2011 3:54:15 PM
^ I doubt itI have no information or evidence as to why they wouldn't be but I just have a sneaking suspicion.

So they were switching plates on and off the same car? What the hell is going on
6/16/2011 4:17:34 PM
Fail
6/16/2011 4:17:45 PM
Wow. One UNC player accrued 93 parking tickets under 9 license plate numbers between Oct 07 & Aug 09.http://www.dailytarheel.com/index.php/article/2011/06/database_unc_football_player_got_93_parking_ticketsSo, is it possible that not all 11 players got tickets? So maybe only 5 or 6 players got all of the tickets?^^Please shop MA's face on that gif.[Edited on June 16, 2011 at 4:22 PM. Reason : 2]

^^^^UNC released a statement that not all of the 11 players in question had received tickets... So it's 28 cars for < 11 players[Edited on June 16, 2011 at 4:22 PM. Reason : .]
6/16/2011 4:21:49 PM
I suck at making gifs. Where is the reasoning for that many tickets? You have to try to get that many.

6/16/2011 4:27:01 PM
^ok. but why would they put different dealer plates on the same car in one day, a car owned by Little's dad?[Edited on June 16, 2011 at 4:29 PM. Reason : oops, i may have made-up the part about that particular car being little's dad's]
6/16/2011 4:28:28 PM
So when they create the ticket and run the tags, shouldn't it be registered for the corresponding car?
6/16/2011 4:28:58 PM
If those guys were taking their license tags off car A (which it was registerred to) and putting them on cars B, C, and D, I think that would be a legal issue. Also, if the parking meter maid when issuing a citation types in the tag number and "2009 dodge charger" yet the car the tag is on is a Nissan, uh, that's kind of a hint hint to turn that over to your superior(s) for legal purposes.it would be impossible to get away with that in a normal town, most police at idol stoplights just enter in tag numbers in front of them to see if the car they are looking at is the same as the car that pops up on their computers. How a lot of shady stuff gets solved.edit- ah, dealer tags, that's another aspect I hadn't thought about....butt hat's going to open another can of worms when multiple players have cars from the same dealership as loaners.[Edited on June 16, 2011 at 4:31 PM.
