yeah there's usually one device that predates a major code release... everyone has to wait, where as Google made it work on the galaxy nexus from the get go. Its the dev phone.

Probably no ICS because manufacturing is already too far along to change. Wouldn't be shocked by literally day 1 upgrade to ICS.

Finally the RAZR is released. Now all the Galaxy Nexus information can be released hopefully.

I'm actually using my old RAZR V3m because I lost my OG Droid
11/11/2011 2:49:54 PM
RAZR already rooted, lolhttp://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-razr-hacks/181762-how-root-your-motorola-droid-razr-windows-only.html
11/11/2011 3:08:56 PM
played with the Razr at verizon today. It was OK.
11/11/2011 3:12:45 PM
i went to what i thought was a verizon store but was actually an authorized verizon dealer. the guy knew nothing, just spouted out specs and then said this one is the best of all time. lol. they only had dummy units but they are adjusted for actual size and weight, the razr is damn near weightless. i put it in my pocket and could not tell which is dangerous cause it means i could be leaving the house without it alot. but i didnt buy it because for $250+ i need to see more than a dummy unit. the rezound felt like a brick compared to it.
11/11/2011 4:07:46 PM
checked out the RAZR tonight as well, it's way too wide.the guy had an HTC Rezound and I kinda preferred it, the weight was a bit heavier, but it just felt better in my hand because it was narrower.still waiting for Galaxy Nexus til I make my decision.
11/12/2011 12:19:07 AM
Looks like the Nexus is about the same width.http://www.phonearena.com/phones/Samsung-GALAXY-Nexus_id5595/size]
11/12/2011 9:17:29 AM
holy hell big imageAlso, in playing with the Razr, I didn't think it was too wide or tall, as some reviewers have claimed. You all may have small hands? Not that I think mine are extraordinarily large, but it didn't seem to be super wide to me.]
11/12/2011 11:30:39 AM
whoops. I'm using the better wolfweb plugin which automatically downsizes images

Increasing bluetooth volume with rooted Gingerbread....I have a Droid X with rooted Gingerbread. I just got a bluetooth speaker that doesn't have volume controls, rather it relies on the device. This thing can be sooooooo much louder than it is. Does anyone know of any easy app to install on increase the bluetooth output volume? (reading a bunch of forum stuff now, but nothing is coming up that is a quick fix)[Edited on November 14, 2011 at 4:55 PM. Reason : Looks like there really isn't an option out there]

11/16/2011 4:46:32 PM
Consider this, RAZR cleared FCC 18 days before it's release, iPhone 4S cleared FCC 10 days before it's release... so it's feasible to at least be in the next 2 weeks.Oh it's most likely December 1st, but I just can't help myself, I just like getting psyched up about the latest date, even though I have no problem waiting.I've NOT had a smartphone since I lost mine in August. What's a few more weeks. I'm not getting sidetracked by the RAZR or Rezound.... Samsung is just shooting itself in the foot with the Galaxy Nexus, they could have doubled their sales had it been released in October like originally planned.[Edited on November 16, 2011 at 4:59 PM. Hey guys. I want a tablet. Not really wanting the iPad 2. Played with an older Galaxy tab. Anyone have the new 10.1? Might go play with it at Bestbuy. I'm new to Android. Recommendations? That the best one these days?-or what about the 8.9. Identical but smaller screen? [Edited on November 16, 2011 at 10:20 PM. Reason : s]

Asus Transformer Prime looks SUPER AWESOME, wait to play with one of those, releasing in december.
11/16/2011 11:23:06 PM
Yeaahhhh. Might have to wait to check that one out. Looks pretty awesome. http://thegadgets.net/2011/11/09/transformer-prime-specs-and-details/
11/16/2011 11:34:38 PM
I have the Asus transformer and love it. I'd recommend the Asus product one for sure, back when i was researching tablets this was about the only android tablet that had universally high reviews and satisfied customers - as opposed to, say, the Xoom
11/17/2011 9:11:42 AM
Yeah I'm incredibly excited about the Transformer Prime. You can't get much better. 10.1" 1280 by 800 glass super IPS screen (claims to be brighter for outside reading than the iPad)Tegra 3 Quad core (lower power draw - 12 hour battery life - 18 with dock)Aluminium backAndroid 4.0 is coming soon8MP F2.4 camera (possibly same one as on the iPhone 4s?)Claims to have much lower input lag The dock looks sweet too. http://www.ubergizmo.com/2011/11/asus-transformer-prime-preview/
11/17/2011 9:18:55 AM
at cyanogen servers being down. I want to load build 20 on my atrix so that I can see if it fixes my dock bug

I always got the impressions that it was Galaxy Tab 10.1 Transformer .......Everything else.oh and looks like google updated their site with the LTE Galaxy Nexus Specs. Only .57mm thicker than the hspa+ version. http://www.google.com/nexus/#/tech-specs
11/17/2011 11:02:04 AM
While Tegra 3 isn't the main reason I'm waiting for the Prime it's a big factor. Lower power draw, and a 5th core for other processes means a zippy interface. Plus you really can't beat the glass super bright IPS screen and aluminium backing. I was almost ready to jump on a Galaxy tab 8.9 but would rather have glass and aluminium than the plastic on the Galaxy. I think it's worth the extra $150 or so.
11/17/2011 11:04:45 AM
hmm, don't like the power button location on the gnex... that's where you hand goes when holding it... seems like you could inadvertently press (and possibly hold it).
11/17/2011 11:11:33 AM
Wasn't an issue with the Fascinate I had. Some did complain about adjusting the volume while locking and vice versa.

11/17/2011 12:38:52 PM
want ICS rom.
11/17/2011 12:38:58 PM
Yeah but now Tegra 2 is dated.
11/17/2011 12:48:09 PM
Dude WTF, I'm not talking about Tegra3, I'm talking in comparison to Tegra2 devices.Tegra3 is a different discussion and a completely different price point. I know, I posted about the Transformer Prime weeks ago and was seriously considering it. The 32GB Transformer Prime will be $599 $499, the 32GB Xoom is currently $399 ($350 on sale) and both are capable of running ICS.And Tegra2 is as fast as the iPad2 and no Tegra3 devices on the market yet, and still capable of running the latest version of Android, so I wouldn't call it dated.[Edited on November 17, 2011 at 1:06 PM.
