Crazy how his HS writeups sounds just like his pro writeups.
1/1/2013 11:42:23 PM
Yeah it was funny out of high school he(2-star QB) and Tyrod Taylor(5-star QB) were from the same area, and all the local people said that Wilson was a much better QB(and why Wilson beat him out for most of the UVA high school football awards), despite Taylor having more stars from recruiting ranking services.
1/2/2013 8:14:52 AM
Well tyrod is faster and taller, which are two of the most important attributes of being a quarterback.
1/2/2013 8:43:31 AM
some of yall are gonna be real disappointed when the majority of our recruits are still gonna be 3*s.
1/2/2013 8:58:56 AM
Nah man...he's the fucking Mark Gottfried of football!!

^ I miss the Amato days of a bunch of great recruits that couldn't remember the snap count.
1/2/2013 10:32:36 AM
What exacty is "Chuck Talent"?? I know we brought in the occasional 4 and 5-star guy...but did we ever crack the top 20 overall?? Maybe once? His final couple classes were more on the TOB-level, from what I can recall.
1/2/2013 10:34:43 AM
Chuck got a #7 recruiting class in 2003. And a #27 in '05. And a #34 in '02, #59 in '04, and #51 in '06. Chuck talent? Is that what we're aspiring for?
1/2/2013 10:43:15 AM
well yea, that's a lot better than 50-70s every year[Edited on January 2, 2013 at 10:53 AM. Reason : us getting a #7 class would be like clemson getting a top 3 bball class]
1/2/2013 10:51:39 AM
I think we were around #29 about the time TOB was fired. (these are all rivals rankings)
1/2/2013 10:54:45 AM
we didnt have a lot of space left when he was fired and most programs (not us) usually fill up near signing daythat class probably wouldve ended up around 40, which wouldve been his second best class after glennon/mattes/manning iirc
1/2/2013 11:09:28 AM
Can we talk some more about how we just lost a recruit to duke?Fuck.
1/2/2013 11:13:08 AM
that happens when the head coach is fired.
1/2/2013 11:22:12 AM
We were #38 when he was fired i believe

Yep,I think people have revisionist nostalgia of chuck's recruiting.
1/2/2013 2:37:58 PM
ah i just saw you said rivals
1/2/2013 2:54:31 PM
chuck wouldn't have let keith marshall out of the state. HELL YEAH LETS RECRUIT 48 RUNNING BACKS
1/2/2013 3:16:06 PM
Our program has no shot at guys like Keith Marshall
1/2/2013 3:21:10 PM
Chuck's recruiting did have a bit of Butch Davis in it...lots of guys who either never made it to campus or washed out quickly thereafter. That really mitigates the impact. He still landed some major talent in Mario, Pressley, AJ Davis, Andre Brown, Toney Baker etcWe don't need #7 classes to compete for titles in the ACC. I've said all along we should model our program after VPI. Beamer never mopped up on the recruiting trail. He would land a couple major kids from Virginia Beach and the rest would be the program type recruits anyone can get.Now that they suck there's an even bigger opening for us to fill that void.

You cannot mention Chuck's recruiting without mentioning some of the biggest waste of talent this side of Dan Kendra in Dick Wash, Derek "false start" Morris, and Bobby Washington.
1/2/2013 5:38:22 PM
marcus stone also comes to mind
1/2/2013 5:53:40 PM
not looking good on Woulard. Peopler are saying he may commit to Kentucky of all places
1/3/2013 7:47:05 PM
the curse of TOB is upon us
1/3/2013 8:07:13 PM
^^You're late and wrong, as usual:
1/3/2013 8:12:51 PM
Ok buddy. How is that late btw, and wrong? We'll see after the weekend dickface
1/3/2013 9:18:47 PM
Yeah, he could commit there. He could not also. And since "Kentucky recruiting" tweeted it.. I dunno, wouldn't put much into it. Not saying its not possibly true, just don't know why you'd believe them
1/3/2013 9:21:16 PM
Hopefully im wrong and just being pessimistic, but has has said a couple times that he likes the competition in the SEC.[Edited on January 3, 2013 at 9:26 PM. Reason : H]

I think we're out of it for Woulard per various insiders that have been right every step of the way for Woulard(seems to be a relative). He just doesn't seem to want to play in our offense, and DD has made it clear we're going to be a lot closer to NIU's offense than Bible's offense. Woulard wants to mold himself into a pure pocket passer and fears that running the spread won't prepare him and will hinder him for the NFL(personally think this is wrong, but the kid seems to have made up his mind). We're also going after a couple of his good friends in Florida, a WR and DT I think, so maybe they can convince him to give us a shot.
1/4/2013 8:16:20 AM
Doeren, Canada and Frisman Jackson all in house to see Priester. They're definitely making the effort Debbie wants.
1/4/2013 12:26:05 PM
Sweet
1/4/2013 12:32:14 PM
Woulard's tweets make him look well spoken. I like it.
1/4/2013 2:03:05 PM
So how many commits did we pick up during the UA game?
1/4/2013 7:49:16 PM
1/4/2013 10:06:05 PM
looks like Priester is recruiting hard for us now after his visit with Canada, Doeren & Frismantryin to get Marquez Valdes and current FSU commit, Davin Bellamy, to come in with him
1/4/2013 10:22:23 PM
Oh the lovable, fired up, fickle high school young men.Glad you're back on board sir
1/4/2013 10:27:35 PM
Jerod Fernandez is solid now after his visit and it looks like the coaches had a good visit with Jeff Badet today as well
1/4/2013 10:32:57 PM
Gg coaches +100000 credibilityPriester +1000000000 credibility
1/4/2013 10:34:29 PM
Ky Priester is the Rodney Purvis of football. I, too, am glad he's back on board. GG coaches!!!

I continue to be impressed with DD's work ethic on the recruiting trail:
1/5/2013 2:46:22 PM
what's the word with this millbrook receiver that decommitted from louisville
