He started off in the 80's. After a number of months he worked his way down to the 30's, I believe. Then they changed their scoring system to be less subjective and I'm pretty sure he debuted at #10 and has stayed in that neighorhood for the past month or two.Now quit being ghey and argumentative.^yeah, exactly.. lol[Edited on December 16, 2006 at 3:00 PM. Folding preflop is okay given the 3 limpers, one of which is a shortstack. If I did decide to raise it would definately be my standard pot sized bet of $6.50, which may or may not get the blinds out in this case. As played I would probably isolation reraise the all-in to $25-$30, though I wouldn't be thrilled about the spot I had put myself in.
12/20/2006 11:41:06 PM
^I thought about the reraise to isolate, in a tourney I would have. In a cash game, I felt like I had to call and hope no one else reraised. With no one showing strenght, in late position, I felt like the hand snowballed into a bad position.
12/21/2006 7:32:04 AM
RRing preflop there "to isolate" would be horrible.
12/21/2006 9:47:23 AM
Alright, someone who has played roullete please explain whether this is legal:You have two colors, red and black. Bet $10 on red. Win - get $10. Lose - bet $20 on red the next time. If you still lose, bet $40 the next time. If you STILL lose, bet 80 next time. Eventually you win $10 on sheer probability (and provided you ahve the money to cover these bets.Use the $10 profit to start all over again.I'm sure there's a rule that prevents you from doing this...
12/21/2006 9:57:00 AM
there's no rule that prevents you from using a martingale system.hell, they'll love to have you do it.want to know why?because this:
12/21/2006 10:12:02 AM
well first of all there are more than two colors when you play rouletteam i right???
12/21/2006 10:47:55 AM
12/21/2006 12:09:49 PM
Yeah, seriously, even with an infinite betting limit and an infinite amount of money, that system will fail because of 1 little space (in Europe) or 2 little spaces (in the U.S.). 0 and 00.
12/21/2006 1:03:39 PM
First off, I realize in the long run this system doesn't work. No betting system works in the long run. I'm simply saying, given a high enough betting ceiling, you can reduce the chance of going broke significantly.Let's assume you're starting with a $1 bet and the max bet is $100. Using a Martingale system you stand to lose the following with each loss.1 loss - $12 losses - $33 losses - $74 losses - $155 losses - $316 losses - $63Assume everytime you win $1 you set it aside and restart. Statistically speaking only one time in 64 are you going to suffer 6 straight losses. That reduces the risk substantially. Now try performing the same system with a $1000 max bet. Now you have to lose 9 in a row to bust out.In the long run you will bust out enough to cancel out your winnings. I knew that was the case, but I didn't know why. Thanks for the article David0603.[Edited on December 21, 2006 at 1:12 PM. Reason : h]
