yeah, probably, but getting from whatever i put in the hole to something that's the right size for the GI sling clip may be tricky.i didn't need the sling mount on my gas block, so i've got that. it's the regular 1.25" kind that was held in with a roll pin. i might be able to figure out a way to run something through the lanyard hold and then through the roll pin holes on that mount.[Edited on March 26, 2012 at 11:32 AM. Wow, the mods as CSF are some real dicks. I got an infraction for replying to a post in my own thread because it was within the 48 hours of the last thread activity. hahahaha, CSF can go to hell. I'll be using CSC from now own.
3/26/2012 7:05:17 PM
what is CSC?the mods on CSF arent dicks; just one of them is.Mike79 is a fucking faggot that can burn in God's green Hell.
3/26/2012 7:07:30 PM
carolinashootersclubyes, it's mike79. what a douche. I'm giving him shit via PM. Awaiting my ban apparently the 48 hr rule was recently expanded from bumps to any fucking post. can you imagine that shit? you have to wait 48 hr before replying to a post in your own thread. that's a good way to kill a forum.[Edited on March 26, 2012 at 7:24 PM. Reason : .]
3/26/2012 7:08:31 PM
yeah thats fucking stupid.he used to give me shit all the time because i would post something lame and then reply to myself in less than 48 hours.easy enough right?but youre saying someone else posted in your thread and then you replied? thats fucking horseshit. if they have expanded the bump rules then i didnt get a notification. furthermore they would need to specify that any communication in less than that amount of time needs to take place exclusively in PM.come to think of it thats what most people do anyway. like when i post a gun for sale nobody ever posts in that thread except me (every 48 hours) to bump it. tons of questions and inquiries in my inbox though.everyone is so fucking scared of that idiotic taint Mike79. its funny whenever he tries to sell something and its some bubbified AK74 or other piece of shit and his bumps actually get a little pissy when nobody is interested and he drops the price like $5 and wonders why.fucking idiot.
3/26/2012 7:38:00 PM
hahah, and yeh, that's what happened. Someone posted in my thread in B/S/T yesterday and I responded today. Then mike sent me an infraction and didn't care for my responses. They've updated the rules sticky, but being on there for multiple years, I don't check that shit anymore. But the new rule is ANY thread activity for ANY reason. Pretty fucking stupid. It encourages little site activity... which will kill the site. They say to wait 48 hours, edit your OP, or use PM. Well, waiting 48 hours is a PITA, editing the OP doesn't send the other poster's notification emails, so they'll never know you responded unless they go back and check, and PMing could work, but isn't the best option, as answering questions publicly will help all thread viewers.Stupidity abound.

that site is full of inbred dumbfucks

I bought a really sweet mid-80s marlin 336 off CSFfor that i will be forever grateful. but the forum rules do seem pretty ridiculous...I understand their reasoning, but I don't think the ends justify the means

Thoughts on the S&W 442 for a CC gun? I am picking it up this weekend (hopefully) and want a suggestion for a holster/case to put it in.
3/28/2012 3:44:04 PM
So what's the deal with the classifieds on CSF? I joined the boards and whatnot, is there some additional step required to get access to said classified section?
3/28/2012 5:05:49 PM
^^ Good gun, check out the Ruger LCR if you haven't already bought the 442. I like the trigger on the Ruger better but would be happy with either.

I had a 642.... It was a great gun, just not for me. My OD Glock arrives Monday.

BELLEVUE, WA – A federal district court judge in North Carolina has just struck down that state’s emergency power to impose a ban on firearms and ammunition outside the home during a declared emergency, ruling that the provision violates the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms. The case, Bateman v. Purdue, was brought by the Second Amendment Foundation, Grass Roots North Carolina FFE and three individual plaintiffs. Defendants in the case were Gov. Beverly Purdue and Reuben F. Young, secretary of the state’s Department of Crime Control and Public Safety, in their official capacities. In his opinion, Judge Malcolm J. Howard, senior United States district judge for the Eastern District of North Carolina, wrote, “…the court finds that the statutes at issue here are subject to strict scrutiny…While the bans imposed pursuant to these statutes may be limited in duration, it cannot be overlooked that the statutes strip peaceable, law abiding citizens of the right to arm themselves in defense of hearth and home, striking at the very core of the Second Amendment.”“When SAF attorney Alan Gura won the Heller case at the Supreme Court,” noted SAF Executive Vice President Alan M. Gottlieb, “the gun ban crowd said that we were a ‘one-trick-pony’ and that we would never knock out another gun law. Well, SAF has now knocked out gun laws in Maryland, Illinois and North Carolina.“We filed this lawsuit on the day we won the McDonald case against Chicago,” he added, “extending the Second Amendment to all 50 states. This was part of our strategy of winning firearms freedoms one lawsuit at a time.”Gottlieb pointed to language in Judge Howard’s ruling that solidifies the Second Amendment’s reach outside the home. The judge noted that the Supreme Court in Heller noted that the right to keep and bear arms “was valued not only for preserving the militia, but ‘more important(ly) for self-defense and hunting.”“Therefore,” Judge Malcolm wrote, “the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms ‘is not strictly limited to the home environment but extends in some form to wherever those activities or needs occur."“Under the laws at issue here, citizens are prohibited from engaging, outside their home, in any activities secured by the Second Amendment,” Judge Malcolm wrote. They may not carry defensive weapons outside the home, hunt or engage in firearm related sporting activities. Additionally, although the statutes do not directly regulate the possession of firearms within the home, they effectively prohibit law abiding citizens from purchasing and transporting to their homes firearms and ammunition needed for self-defense. As such, these laws burden conduct protected by the Second Amendment.”The Second Amendment Foundation (http://www.saf.org) is the nation's oldest and largest tax-exempt education, research, publishing and legal action group focusing on the Constitutional right and heritage to privately own and possess firearms. Founded in 1974, The Foundation has grown to more than 650,000 members and supporters and conducts many programs designed to better inform the public about the consequences of gun control. In addition to the landmark McDonald v. Chicago Supreme Court Case, SAF has previously funded successful firearms-related suits against the cities of Los Angeles; New Haven, CT; New Orleans; Chicago and San Francisco on behalf of American gun owners, a lawsuit against the cities suing gun makers and numerous amicus briefs holding the Second Amendment as an individual right.

3/31/2012 9:13:49 PM
pistLOL grip
3/31/2012 9:39:28 PM
Yeah, not a huge fan of the pistol grip but I just wanted something really short that I could keep under there like that purely for home defense purposes. With a stock on it would be a little cumbersome.
3/31/2012 9:49:22 PM
Cumbersome, maybe, but actually useful. That thing is seriously garbage and you need something that will work when you actually need to use it. There's a reason that nobody who uses a gun for a living uses one of those: they're a novelty, and completely ill-suited for self-defense. If you want compact storage, get a collapsible or folding stock, but the standard fixed configuration is quite serviceable for people that actually use them daily. I can assure you that the moment you're trying to actually get a bead on some thug in your house you'll wish that you had opted for a real fighting tool.
4/1/2012 7:37:13 AM
+1 for folding/collapsible for actual uses. That said, if you do go the folding/collapsible route, I would be interested in the pistol grip just to fuck around with.
4/1/2012 7:57:05 AM
home defense shot gun...
4/1/2012 9:29:44 AM
i don't even like the idea of a collapsible or folding stock on a home defense shotgun. i don't want to have to unfold or adjust a stock in a HD situation. i guess if you leave the stock expanded or unfolded, that would be ok. the pic shows you've got plenty of room in that location for a regular stock. you could also try the short length of pull stocks. whatever you do, get rid of that damn pistol-grip-only bullshit. if you go out and really practice with it, you'll see why it's a bad idea.[Edited on April 1, 2012 at 11:32 AM. Reason : we tell you because we care]
4/1/2012 11:31:33 AM
pistol grip is fine for a home defense shot-gun. You're not a member of HRT trying to do precision shots, you're trying to put as much lead as possible as quickly as possible b/n you and thug-tard. You can do this just as fine with a pistol grip shotgun as you can with a folding stock shotgun. (You should be practicing on shooting the shotgun with the pistol grip though). If you want to be all cool guy and do precision shots, get an M4 or something similar, get some good sights on there (holographic or red-dot), spend time at the range and get your shoot on.
4/1/2012 12:27:23 PM
i don't want the lead between me and himi want it in him
4/1/2012 3:51:10 PM
4/1/2012 5:13:22 PM

4/1/2012 5:29:49 PM
Well when you have rifled sights, the rear helps
4/1/2012 5:38:55 PM
But then there is the clip fed 10-30 shot saiga 12. I mean seriously it's the offspring of an ak and a shot gun, and probably the cheapest way to be able to spray leaf everywhere.
