http://wolfpackhoops.blogspot.com/2009/10/please-read-big-changes-coming-to_15.htmlI'm off the wolfpackhoops bandwagon. I could deal with sometimes putting out suspect info and the piss poor grammar and spelling while it was free, but if you start charging for that shit, then you better start acting like an actual journalist.
10/15/2009 2:36:07 PM
There's gotta be some infringement issues with that. Hope they have a good lawyer.
10/15/2009 2:45:48 PM
^^hah, maybe they'll finally have enough resources to purchase that newfangled word processing software. No way in hell I'd pay for that shitty fucking site.
10/15/2009 2:54:08 PM
I'm gonna miss their videos and interviews.
10/15/2009 4:05:55 PM
haha i defended them as a source of info when they were a blog, but no way am i paying for it
10/15/2009 4:06:05 PM
http://www.wralsportsfan.com/looks like Mike and Roy have held press conferences about the upcoming season, anyone know if Lowe will do one soon?
10/15/2009 4:08:36 PM
wolfpackhoops was a great free site but IMO the polish just isn't there to charge for it. PP seems like a better value when you factor in the physical magazine with scout.com's resources.hope they don't have another cousins type fiasco...

I think we can all agree that they exaggerated a little in that article. And that Europeans spell "favorite" funny.[Edited on October 15, 2009 at 6:36 PM. Reason : or is it just the brits?]

I'm a bit worried that Lowe is our basketball equivalent of Butch Davis or Chuck Amato.
10/16/2009 12:58:43 AM
meh, this is basketball. id rather have roy williams than gary williams
10/16/2009 1:05:04 AM
Where would we be ranked if we still had CJ?
10/16/2009 1:12:38 AM
#1
10/16/2009 1:14:16 AM
^also where we'll be once we get Leslie back in the fold!
10/16/2009 1:53:42 AM
I really hope Harrow is working Leslie hard right now. The #1 class would be huge for Sid and this program.
10/16/2009 8:58:48 AM
there is no way we couldnt be #1 with that many top 50 playersit would be one of our best recruiting classes of all time right up there with 1971[Edited on October 16, 2009 at 1:12 PM. Reason : e]
10/16/2009 1:11:51 PM
^ohio state and memphis have some pretty damn good classes themselves right now. And im gonna venture a guess that they're not done
10/16/2009 2:43:24 PM
If Duke gets Barnes and Irving they'll be #1...Also, I don't understand how we get "points" in the recruiting rankings on both Scout and Rivals for BOTH years of Lorenzo Brown... just saying, shouldn't they revamp 2009's rankings then?
10/16/2009 2:50:52 PM
10/16/2009 3:04:38 PM
I think Ohio State might be done. They've got 6 commits and only 4 seniors on the team. I don't know how many of their roster players on on scholarship though. I only see them taking one more at most. I also don't see us jumping them.Memphis does have a pretty nice class right now, even though Joe Jackson should not be ranked above Harrow considering that Harrow abused him each time they faced off. We would definitely jump Syracuse and we might jump Memphis. I don't really know how the points add up.
10/16/2009 3:13:47 PM
In the O-state write-up, it states that they have a 7 man class, although only 6 are listed.
10/16/2009 3:19:31 PM
I'm always surprised when Ohio State is near the top in basketball recruitingThey don't produce many good pros, they rarely have consistent stretches of dominance, and they play in what would strike most 17 year old recruits as the most boring conference to play inBut every year it seems like their top 10
10/16/2009 3:32:38 PM
It's because they've got Archie Miller recruiting for them.
10/16/2009 3:35:38 PM
10/16/2009 3:51:43 PM
Archie joined his brother at 'Zona
10/16/2009 3:56:35 PM
They had Cook, Conley, and Oden, and the big white guy, but who before that ? Michael Redd ? That's a nice little 7 year gap in your argument
10/16/2009 3:57:28 PM
^^ yeah I forgot about Archie following his brother. He did get one guy, Jordan Sibert, in tOSU's 2010 class though.
10/16/2009 4:04:37 PM
^^Scoonie Penn and Michael Redd. Best PG/SG combo in the history of college basketball!!
10/16/2009 4:08:14 PM
10/16/2009 4:10:13 PM
Recruits today were fucking 9 when Scoonie was running shit, no way he and Redd factor into their decisions
10/16/2009 4:10:39 PM
psh...that's gotta be irony. i mean i hope that's irony. hell you can just look at Corchianni and Monroe as one of the best PG/SG combos.
10/16/2009 4:12:09 PM
10/16/2009 4:14:13 PM
10/16/2009 4:14:26 PM
All of those players were local to Ohio or the surrounding states, as are all of their incoming playersI guess I just never realized how much HS talent was in the midwestand I'm not saying Penn and Redd matter, I'm saying the period between them and Oden, Cook, Conley mattersNo pros in 7 years...a few 7 foot benchwarmers isn't going to change that perception over night[Edited on October 16, 2009 at 4:23 PM. 10/16/2009 4:16:38 PM
10/16/2009 4:25:08 PM
Rose and what army ?Surely recruits are going to follow in the illustrious high draft lottery footsteps of Rodney Carney and Chris Douglas-Roberts
10/16/2009 4:31:54 PM
I was kidding about Penn and Redd by the way. Really hope you guys didn't take that seriously.
10/16/2009 4:38:00 PM
10/16/2009 4:41:37 PM
You're saying 7 years ago doesn't matter, yet you bring up Dajaun Wagner, little Colon Boy himselfPersonally, I think that its mainly the downfall of Indiana and Cincinnati that's created this goldmine for OSU, since those schools used to get all the top players from that area. I'll be interested to see if they can keep it up when one or both of those schools return to prominence.

So, what happened to Wolfpackhoops plans of becoming a pay site? Packinsider.com is down and the article disappeared off the wolfpackhoops.com page.Did they get slapped with a cease and desist order already?
