I was surprised to see Indiana scoring so poorly and the South scoring so well: http://www.dailykos.com/story/2014/04/06/1288568/-Does-your-state-get-an-F-for-how-it-teaches-the-civil-rights-movement
4/16/2014 6:38:12 AM
^I would think that the southern states would score higher because "it all happened here"
4/16/2014 7:20:54 AM
4/16/2014 7:53:09 AM
^^I would have guessed a whitewash was in order, as it usually is for conservative re-tellings of history, but you had the right idea: Basically, the farther a state is from the South, and the lower its Black population is, the worse it is at teaching about the civil-rights movement.
4/16/2014 8:16:04 AM
I wouldn't say worse or better, because why would a state require such heavy teaching on a movement that for the most part affected them very little. The black population of Maine is about than ~1% and their state history probably has very little instances of civil rights issues. I'm sure they have their share of race related issues, but it is probably less likely to be concerned with the civil rights issues that cover black conflict and more likely to educate on issues like Native American conflict.[Edited on April 16, 2014 at 9:54 AM. No really, she is famous. She is an 18 year old semi-pro cross fitter from Sweden (or maybe it is Norway). Google her if you don't believe me. Chick is strong, she can lift more than most regular guys her age.Which video did you like, the Parkour one? Good.

Anytime a person is especially preoccupied with something, they come off as a little autistic, and it's weird/creepy that they're not "normal." Even those of us who are down with weirdos can become annoyed with this obsessive behavior. To be clear, many people have these little obsessions, but they try to manage them socially because they know other people don't share their fascinations.I doubt this post will help.
4/18/2014 6:20:18 PM
She is internet famous like all the other female fitness attention whores.
4/18/2014 6:41:57 PM
You need a bigger mind if the obsession of someone on the Internet (or offline) with some topic annoys you. Everybody here (and real people not on the web) is obsessed with something (and so are you), but why should it annoy normal people? Seriously, this is weird to me, like, this weird ---> The person who is not normal is not the one who is preoccupied with something (because that's everybody, thus 'normal'), rather, the one who gets annoyed at others' preoccupations.I don't share your fascinations, so why don't you try a bit harder to 'manage' them... help yourself first? (sarcasm)P.S. No need to stereotype or insult autistic people.

4/18/2014 7:25:04 PM
^^I put my post in the wrong thread. It was intended for the other thread where people were harassing you. Anyway, I like the occasional, funny joke at your expense, but I don't mind your posts, and I think it's silly when people call you out for loving your fitness ladies. But you must know that you're a strange dude, and it's not just because you're fascinated by buff ladies. Of course, there's nothing wrong with being strange, but there is something wrong with trying to defend it as normal and acting like everybody else should be 100% accepting of your point-of-view all the time. The world does not work that way--you know it doesn't. I can be strange, too; it puts people off. Whatever. And I'm not insulting people with autism. Parents of children with autism will admit that they get annoyed with their child from time to time. It's not a big deal. Also, you should be aware that "autistic" can be used without directly referring to the medical disorder, autism. See the second definition here:http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/autistic[Edited on April 18, 2014 at 7:32 PM. Reason : ]
4/18/2014 7:28:35 PM
I know I am strange, even my wife says as much! Yes, I have an obsessive personality, and at this stage in life am obsessed with fitness ladies, food, cars, and making money But seriously, if I want to post even a million pics of fitness ladies, I have no idea why it should even begin to bother anyone, seeing as how they are confined to one thread, and so, easily avoidable.
4/18/2014 7:53:58 PM
I, too could hire a director and editor to make me look like a beast in the gym.
4/18/2014 8:13:58 PM
Well, as long as you are in shape and do lift regularly, it is not hard to make that video. But, that's neither here nor there. Just appreciate the video.Interestingly, all the rest of the videos of her (at least the 2 popular ones that i have seen) are normal and actually show her lifting properly and performing pull-ups and other feats. And she is mentioned as being 17 in them. So apparently, seems like as soon as she turned 18, she made a lifting video that looks more like an intro to a porno. Wonder what her daddy thinks.
