Bobcats offering season tickets at $1 per game if they win the lottery. http://www.nba.com/bobcats/1213_seasontickets.html
5/2/2012 1:17:50 PM
$1/nosebleed seat is about fair market value for the shit product we'll put on the court next seasonwhats funny is that best case scenario (ie we get the #1 pick), the seats are $1...if somehow we get the 4th pick (which is more likely than individually getting the 1st, 2nd or 3rd pick), those same nosebleed seats are now $4/game even though theres no Anthony Davis, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist or Thomas Robinson on the team
5/2/2012 1:21:22 PM
Still think it is screwed up that the team with the worst record in NBA history has a better chance of not getting a top 3 pick, than it does of getting the #1 overall pick.[Edited on May 2, 2012 at 1:48 PM. Reason : .]

5 days until Stern screws us over
5/25/2012 1:20:29 PM
1 more day until the Bobcats find out they will not have the opportunity to draft Anthony Davis.
5/29/2012 8:45:10 AM
I feel like as long as they get a top-3 pick, they'll be alright. MKG and Robinson can definitely help this team out. The fourth pick is where things get dicey -- Drummond, Beal ... Barnes? That said, I think Davis is the only superstar that will come from this draft. Which means the bobcats will certainly not get him
5/29/2012 9:59:34 AM
don't worry guys, michael jordan is running the show.
5/29/2012 10:08:41 AM
I like Drummond at 2, actually. Robinson and MKG will probably be good players for a long time, but I have a hard time believing they'll ever be great. Drummond has a much higher chance to bust, but also has by far the highest ceiling. This team needs to take a chance on greatness. We've gone the Okafor/Felton "safe guy" route before.
5/29/2012 10:13:24 AM
don't worry. the bobcats will end up with harrison barnes one way or another. i just know it.
5/29/2012 10:20:30 AM
i like MKG a lot. Great two way player, could be a stud.robinson's ceiling is like a boozer type player that gets pts/rebs but nothing else and poor defensively. In other words he'd be our best player pretty quickly but a bench player on most teams as a rookie.I dont think we can take drummond we already have a raw Biyombo. And i think drummond is going to suck.
5/29/2012 11:58:11 AM
i'd agree with that...if we don't get Davis, MKG would be a solid addition. we'd at least have someone who can play the wing who doesn't suck (looking at you, Maggette)
5/29/2012 12:29:52 PM
Agree with Face about Robinson. Seems kind of like a poor man's Blake Griffin (great athleticism, great rebounder, confusingly average shot blocker). But everytime I watched the Bobcats last year, the thing that stood out the most was how miserably bad at rebounding they were. Robinson would help out big time there. With MKG, the only thing that worries me is his shot. He's got a weird hitch in it. It looks odd on spot-up shots, but really bad off the dribble. That can be fixed though, and the guy competes as hard as anyone. If nothing else, he'd be a hell of a defender on the wing and a beast in transition. Also agreed about Drummond. Tons of talent, but he looked lost and unconfident everytime I saw him play. More than anything though, he just didn't seem to give a shit
5/29/2012 2:45:05 PM
only one day until those saps who bought into the season ticket scam get charged $300 instead of $43
5/29/2012 2:46:09 PM
^ worst we can draft is 4th
5/29/2012 9:00:35 PM
^ beat me to it.

ESPN running on their bottom line that in the 18 years the draft lottery has existed that the team with the best chance of winning the lottery (worst record or tied with worst record) have won the #1 pick 3 of the 18 times. With a lot of talking heads (Jeff Van Gundy, etc) talking about the Bobcats tanked the season to get the #1 pick, I still don't see the Bobcats getting it.
5/30/2012 5:42:10 AM
i was never very good with probabilities, but wouldn't the overall number of teams with a 25% chance of getting the first pick who actually get it be roughly 25%? so like 4-5 out of 18? if that's the case, seems like we'd be due
5/30/2012 6:34:15 AM
The draft lottery doesn't have the best memory, it's not exactly an elephant. You have to think that it probably forgot how many times it's given the worst team the #1 pick, especially the draft lotteries from two decades ago. I wouldn't be surprised if the draft lottery doesn't realize we're "due" and that coming into it we still just have a 25% chance. Kinda like one of those roulette wheels in Vegas that never seems to realize it just hit black 4 times in a row and needs to hit a red this time to keep the probabilities in line.
