wood got hacked, but we started getting complacent. Gotta keep the intensity, even though you want to play deeper in the shot clock.

we just need to get good shots. this team isnt experienced enough or disciplined enough to run the shot clock down to single digits to melt a game away yet
11/19/2010 7:42:49 PM
in other news the Hurricanes just tied up the game against the Penguins and now have a power playGO CANES
11/19/2010 7:42:52 PM
Javi Gonzalez is a leader. game totally changed with him
11/19/2010 7:43:15 PM
it's like riding a roller coaster with javi.
11/19/2010 7:43:44 PM
GO GOLDEN GOPHERS!!and Harrison Barnes is good, dont get me wrong, but hes not first team all-american good
11/19/2010 7:44:43 PM
lolwut
11/19/2010 7:46:11 PM
these refs 100% had money on this game
11/19/2010 7:46:12 PM
^ i'd put money on that.
11/19/2010 7:46:33 PM
anywhere to watch unc game on justin.tv?
11/19/2010 7:46:40 PM
I dunno, I think they just kinda suck in general. They completely missed an obvious travel on Howell a minute ago.
11/19/2010 7:46:46 PM
i havent seen enough of Barnes. i saw him play at the NC Pro Am and he was an excellent player, but Kyrie Irving was just a step above him. he may be an all american, for sure...but i dont think the AP got it right by selecting him based on preseason hype. A preseason all american should be reserved for those that are proven.
11/19/2010 7:46:53 PM
great game for us tonight! I wish we wouldve blown out George Mason, but I think its important for us to face some adversity early in the season. Winning games like this gives our freshmen confidence that they can weather the storm and pull out a win versus a quality opponent, even when the refs arent playing in our favorSunday is gonna be a great, HUGE game for us^I agree 100%. I think Barnes is great, and he could very well be an all-american at the end of the year, but he had never played a single college game and they anointed him as one of the best 5 players in the nation. I also think Kyrie Irving looked better than Barnes in the Pro-AM[Edited on November 19, 2010 at 7:49 PM. Reason : adf]

this is a pretty good win for our young team. GM will do well in the CAA this year.
11/19/2010 7:47:35 PM
WE GOT DIS SON
11/19/2010 7:48:23 PM
i'm still boggled that we have a team that can pull away like that
11/19/2010 7:48:30 PM
this game was critical for our NCAA hopes actually. GM is a solid RPI win and G'Town will probably be our best shot to get a marquee win without Tracy. Wofford would also have been a tough game for our young team
11/19/2010 7:48:46 PM
survive and advance
11/19/2010 7:50:37 PM
man, I have a feeling we are really going to miss Tracy on Sunday. And this will be a matchup between a current top PG recruit (Ryan Harrow) and a past top PG recruit that we barely missed out on (Chris Wright)
11/19/2010 7:52:05 PM
viewer count on that justin.tv just surged - must be all the UNC fans.
11/19/2010 7:53:19 PM
if we get in foul trouble against Georgetown like we did tonight. we are going to die.
11/19/2010 7:53:36 PM
we start jumping and go like ooooooooooo
11/19/2010 7:57:40 PM
w/o tracy we have no big men that have the hands either to hold a rebound or make a shot.oh well
11/19/2010 8:13:47 PM
GTown has a big man out too so it might not be as bad as you think.
11/19/2010 8:15:01 PM
Will they bring in the HD cameras for Championship game on Sunday? I mean they have them in Puerto Rico!
11/19/2010 8:29:30 PM
So...is something up with CJ?I mean, he dominated in the first game
11/19/2010 8:33:39 PM
11/19/2010 8:51:32 PM
Woooooo solid win, didn't get to watch, but listened to it on the radio the entire ride home to greensboro
11/19/2010 8:56:04 PM
one thing i like about this team is they seem a lot more resilient to adversity. the other team makes a run, we respond. things aren't going our way (like fouls tonight), they fight through it and win. kinda nice.
11/19/2010 9:16:03 PM
Tracy out for approximately 3 weeks http://www.wralsportsfan.com/ncsu/story/8657165/
11/19/2010 9:36:23 PM
pooooooop. youngsters better grow up quick with georgetown, syracuse, wisconsin, and arizona on our ooc schedule.
11/19/2010 9:39:08 PM

charleston is a great venue for a game. i sat on the front row tonight and really noticed some things. painter is very active on d, he also is very thin and gets moved easy. howell is thick and plays like it. he is less active on o and d than painter but is a solid block rebounder. zo is by far the better player of the big 3. harrow scores and you do not even notice he is in double digits. leslie pouts like a lil kid and has terrible body language. he reminds me of when costner was pissed hickson was the go to. that said he is a great talent who needs to learn when NOT to shoot the ball. wood has a nice stroke in person. he is smooth and really squares up when shooting off a screen. his d is also much improved over last season. looking forward to sundays game. GO PACK
11/19/2010 9:52:13 PM
walp.there goes any hope for a win at wisconsin or syracuse.
11/19/2010 10:16:15 PM
Now that the game is set, I bought my tickets for Sunday. Just realized, though, that I'm not going to be back until like 2 in the morning .Also, can people stop using the word "adversity"? All I can think of is those damn tar hole fans.
11/19/2010 10:18:08 PM
we had hope for winning at wisconsin?im pretty sure we'd lose that game if hickson came back and brought lebron with him
11/19/2010 10:38:42 PM
nah, there was a chance.
11/19/2010 10:41:05 PM
We will beat Wisconsin
11/19/2010 10:49:38 PM
My parents are going to the Wisconsin game (had tickets for me, but I have an exam that day), so I hope we put forth some good effort. I think we've got a good chance if we play like we did the second half of yesterday's game.
11/19/2010 10:50:43 PM
or the second half of today's game.if either painter or howell or both can fix their damn HANDS so that they can hold onto rebounds and go strong to the basket we can do a lot of good things.
11/19/2010 10:53:00 PM
wisconsin hasnt lost at home OOC since they integrated college basketballcoincidentally, they never got the message
11/19/2010 10:58:59 PM
11/19/2010 11:00:44 PM
I'm hoping that the tracy news will be our neccesary NCSTATE SHIT and we won't have any during the football game tomorrow
11/19/2010 11:02:38 PM
did anyone else notice the 33-27 score near the end of the 1st half of the ECU game? Maybe it was just me. Atleast ya'll were up this time and won. I guess im just fond of those numbers. =)
11/20/2010 12:57:16 AM
tracey being out 3 weeks could potentially play into our favor. we may lose some games in the short term that we'd have won with tracey, but guys like painter and vandenburg get a chance to develop with important game minutes while he's out. that may be just what we need down the stretch when we need to be able to rely on solid minutes from them in big games. painter looks like a different player so far this tournament. he can really develop into a stud over the next 3 weeks if things go well. and obviously we have to hope that 3 weeks is all it's going to be for tracey.
11/20/2010 2:13:43 AM
what time is the next game?

Tough matchup against Georgetown. Javi is going to have to bear the brunt of the work guarding Chris Wright as he is quick (not fast particularly but quick) but also bigger and stronger than Harrow is. Brown also has a tough matchup against Austin Freeman.Game will be won or lost in the middle IMO, so hopefully Painter and Howell come to play...
