Giants D versus CarolinaorPanthers D versus NYG?I'm torn. And I think my fandom and memories of the Panthers thrashing the Giants recently is clouding my judgement.
9/12/2010 5:06:20 AM
Kind of a homer pick but I'd say Carolina D. I'm still not sold on Carolina's offense yet, but we ran all over the Giants last year and they have not done much on defense to make me think differently this year. That being said. J. Stewart vs Giants or J. Addai vs Houston
9/12/2010 7:34:02 AM
^^ tough oneThe Giants will probably get at least one interception from Moore trying to force to the ball to Smitty in coverage, and I don't really see Carolina scoring more than 17 so that might be the way to go. Especially since our offense didn't score at all in the preseason.^ AddaiThat could be a shoot-out of a game.
9/12/2010 9:13:34 AM
^^ I like J Stewart there. Look for the Panthers to run, run, then run more. I dont think Moore is going to throw that much. If you are in a PPR league take Addai...he will probably catch a few checkdowns but he isnt going to rush for much.
9/12/2010 9:45:18 AM
Steve Breaston, Johnny Knox, or Jabar GaffneyPPR (.5) league, and I already have steve smith and josh cribbs starting (this is a league where return yards count half of receiving, so cribbs is a no brainer)
9/12/2010 9:47:27 AM
Shit, looks like Beanie Wells will be out. Only have Maroney and Sproles on the bench.
9/12/2010 9:49:08 AM
yikes... that's no good- who is your other rb?
9/12/2010 9:51:16 AM
Peterson. And I'm in a 16 team league, so there is pretty much nothing available on waivers.
9/12/2010 9:52:55 AM
^^^^ Gaffney would be a good choice in a PPR league^ Avoid Maroney so that leaves Sproles.
9/12/2010 9:54:08 AM
thats what i was thinking
9/12/2010 9:59:47 AM
pick 3Greene vs BaltimoreMendenhall vs ATLBarber @ WSHForte vs Detroit

http://fantasysource.sportingnews.com/football/experts/freeview/bill-bender/2010-09-11/live-chat-staryoure welcome. This guy helped me out a ton last season. unfortunately they got smart and are charging like $40 a year to access the premium website, which the sit/start live chat will become part of starting in week 2. this week is free though, so use it if you are undecided. he answers your questions fast
9/12/2010 10:36:20 AM
Need 1 RB of the 3. Normally Shonn will be my man but I know he's going up against a tough D.Shonn GreeneLeSean McCoy -- He is my gut choice despite GB's run defenseKnowshon Moreno
9/12/2010 10:43:47 AM
I'd still go with Greene. The packers D is just as good, if not better than Baltimore's D.
9/12/2010 10:45:18 AM
Couple last minute Q's for my $$$ league:Brady vs CIN or Romo vs WASWayne vs HOU or Jackson vs GBFinley vs PHI or Gates vs KCRice vs Jets or Jones-Drew vs DEN
9/12/2010 10:51:11 AM
RE: QB. Definitely Brady if you're asking me.One more question:Top two WR: Andre Johnson & Brandon MarshallNeed to pick the third between:Sims-WalkerCrabtree -- seems to have the best matchupBreaston
9/12/2010 10:57:23 AM
Bryan, the guy in the link I posted said he would rather start McCoy over Greene and Knowshon...
9/12/2010 11:08:06 AM
with beanie out, should i start hightower or cadillac?
9/12/2010 11:14:21 AM
cadillac
9/12/2010 11:16:48 AM
Flacco (vs Jets) or McNabb (vs Cowboys)
9/12/2010 11:19:11 AM
That's a tough call^ Flacco hands down usually but with the Jets D, who knows. I thought McNabb was somewhat hurt? Flacco has looked damn good in the preseason
9/12/2010 11:22:51 AM
yeah, the Jets D is the only reason why I am questioning him (and given that I have the Jets as my defense means something's gotta give)
9/12/2010 11:23:41 AM
9/12/2010 11:45:33 AM
My Draft kinda sucked, any last minute advice. I also have MIA over BUF in survivorQB Philip Rivers QB- SD @KC RB Maurice Jones-Drew RB- JAC DEN RB Tim Hightower RB- ARI @STL WR Calvin Johnson WR- DET @CHI WR Percy Harvin WR- MIN @NO Antonio Gates TE- SD @KC W/R Nate Washington WR- TEN OAK BN C.J. Spiller RB- BUF MIA BN Fred Jackson RB- BUF MIA BN Braylon Edwards WR- NYJ BAL BN Donovan McNabb QB- WAS Q DAL BN Vincent Jackson WR- SD (SUS) @KC
9/12/2010 11:50:04 AM
^ your lineup is as good as itll get for now.
9/12/2010 11:52:49 AM
^^i'd consider plugging in Spiller at flex
9/12/2010 11:54:07 AM
I'd definitely put Spiller in for Washington
9/12/2010 11:57:04 AM
I'm thinking about starting Tim hightower over Cedric Benson, Wells will only get a handful of snaps if he plays at all against a terrible St Louis run defense. Anyone else got an opinion?
9/12/2010 12:01:39 PM
Hightower is a good play this week...tough call if he's better than Benson though
9/12/2010 12:03:57 PM
yeah, I think the kicker is that we get 1/2 point per reception and he will be Anderson's safety valve. I'm gonna roll the dice with Hightower, I sure hope I dont get burned
9/12/2010 12:08:21 PM
Take Hightower since its PPR. Wells wont play much, if at all, especially if the Cardinals get a lead.
9/12/2010 12:10:01 PM
Hightower or Ronnie Brown?
9/12/2010 12:31:24 PM
PPR league use Hightower. Otherwise I like Ronnie Brown
9/12/2010 12:39:14 PM
it is and we get a 1pt ppr[Edited on September 12, 2010 at 12:42 PM. Reason : Ronnie Brown gets catches too. I'm just not sure about Derek Anderson]
9/12/2010 12:41:36 PM
Ehhh Ronnie Brown caught 14 passes in 9 games last year. I consider Brown a true RB whereas Hightower is more of a Marshall Faulk or Reggie Bush....not big enough to run through the tackles consistently but more dangerous in the open field. Hightower will be more successful as a check down for Anderson and he is the main back. At the same time the Bills have a bad run defense so Ronnie could have a big game but Ricky will be taking some snaps. [Edited on September 12, 2010 at 12:50 PM. Reason : a]
9/12/2010 12:48:21 PM
on another note, Brown is more likely to throw a TD than most RBs in the league
9/12/2010 12:49:45 PM
lol well now I'm even more perplexed on who to playthanks guys
9/12/2010 12:54:03 PM
i like Brown when he's healthy, go ahead and use him imoi think he's a top 10 back when healthymight as well use him before he inevitably gets hurt somewhere between week 3 and 12[Edited on September 12, 2010 at 12:57 PM. Reason : .]
9/12/2010 12:56:16 PM
that's who i'm leaning towards as well
9/12/2010 12:57:25 PM
less than a minute for 1pm game matchup decisions
9/12/2010 12:59:35 PM
I'm going to be very upset if it turns out I should have put Jake mother fucking Delhome instead of Peyton Manning
9/12/2010 1:31:59 PM
its early, real early, relaxi'm surprised anyone with Peyton Manning at QB even has a backup QB instead of having another RB/WR on your bench
9/12/2010 1:33:05 PM
^crazy stupid setup in my league, but thats how my friend wanted to do it, like 5 flex spots and a ton of bench room
9/12/2010 1:36:11 PM
So far, I'm glad I decided to start Hakeem Nicks over Brandon Jacobs.
9/12/2010 1:42:00 PM
so I still have a trade offer out there where I give up Anquan Boldin and get Wes Welker, should I pull the trigger?(serious question)
9/12/2010 2:00:53 PM
PPR yes
9/12/2010 2:01:35 PM
the good thing about having jake d. do well is maybe I can scam somebody in a trade with a couple good games to pick up a better RB or WR
9/12/2010 2:05:16 PM
Welker is killing me, fuck the pats.
9/12/2010 2:08:02 PM
^^^its non-pprand cutler is killing it, 239 yards in the first half. I wish I wouldve started Forte now, hes got over 100 yards receiving. dammit
9/12/2010 2:21:12 PM
Calvin Johnson has been non-existent so far^take it before he takes it off the table[Edited on September 12, 2010 at 2:23 PM. Reason : .]
