1/4/2010 2:50:55 PM
you call ask people on here.......i call people "fat" to their face....i have no problems doing that, and i've done it to some people on here several times
1/4/2010 2:51:51 PM
1/4/2010 2:52:07 PM
LOLyou just walk up to people in a bar and call them fat?
1/4/2010 2:52:36 PM

i don't believe you
1/4/2010 3:00:33 PM
we went over it in my criminal law course a few years ago...i have no clue WHERE in chapter 20 it is
1/4/2010 3:01:05 PM
THIS IS A PRIME EXAMPLE OF NO ONE WANTING TO TAKE THE TIME TO READ LAWSincluding myself
1/4/2010 3:03:06 PM
it's funny that some people are so neurotically caught up in other peoples' business that they feel the need to pass laws
1/4/2010 3:05:44 PM
i could read all those laws and wouldn't understand any of it
1/4/2010 3:06:55 PM
it's funny that some people are so neurotically caught up in other peoples' business self-important and assured of their righteousness that they feel the need to pass laws to be inconsiderate and irresponsible in regards to the well-being of others around them
1/4/2010 3:07:26 PM
I understand your desire to not be around tobacco smoke, but if I'm producing tobacco smoke you don't like in a privately owned location with the consent of the owner, what leg do you have to stand on other than this horseshit law?Don't you realize that if you start banning shit left and right due to personal preference rather than any coherent principle that pretty soon people will start banning shit YOU like?

Steak is almost never undercooked unless it's still moving.
1/4/2010 3:24:25 PM
1/4/2010 3:24:54 PM
^^ steak isn't usually a health hazard as long as the outside's been flame-kissed for a few seconds...if you want it rarer than that, you should consider buying a cow and taking a bite out of it while it moos at you [Edited on January 4, 2010 at 3:25 PM. Reason : .]
1/4/2010 3:25:32 PM
They serve steak tartare at Sitti. Also, I'll never buy the argument that not smoking inside enriches EVERYONE'S life, as I know that there are people who would be happier smoking and dying earlier. ]

I can't find that law on scooters in stores, I don't think it exists.
1/4/2010 3:36:04 PM
^ it doesn't specify scooters...it specifies motorized vehicles that exceed a certain speed limit, tire size, and weight (and maybe some other things, i'm not sure)...it is NOT tied to the off-road/on-road motorized vehicles laws, either
1/4/2010 3:39:38 PM
but like i said, i can hold indoor scooter races if i so desirei can get sued if someone gets hurt, but i can definitely do it
1/4/2010 3:44:06 PM
^ actually, legally, you cannot...i was pulling this out of my ass from my class (it was an example of a silly law that enforces common sense)...you have to jump through all kinds of hoops to have an indoor area that allows for motorized vehicle operation (extended movement, not just turning them on like you would in a garage)*shrug*
1/4/2010 3:47:29 PM
show me the law or stfu
1/4/2010 3:48:17 PM
1/4/2010 3:49:29 PM
...and there are plenty of restaurants that serve raw food, including steak as noted above. ]
1/4/2010 3:51:01 PM
^ you know what i mean, considering i was referring to sanitation ratings, but i also understand that some of you are a bit slow on the uptake, so i'll let your obvious and intentional lack of understanding slide and chalk it up to the portion of society that is beneath me in terms of their ability to grasp simple concepts
1/4/2010 3:53:39 PM
Flying Saucer in Charlotte was very quick to enforce the law. I was there on 1-2-10 and it was amazing how much more enjoyable it was. I have nothing against smoking or smokers. I was one once, but i love this law.
1/4/2010 3:57:18 PM
^ i was at saucer yesterday for brunch, and it was significantly easier to breath, just in generalthe funk is still there, but i couldn't smell my shirt from across the room when i got home and took it off, like i used to when they allowed smokingit also seemed just as busy as usual for brunch around 12:30
1/4/2010 3:58:43 PM
1/4/2010 3:58:49 PM
I didn't see anything pertaining to racing, other than street racing, in Ch. 20
1/4/2010 3:59:21 PM
the difference b/w the sanitation and the smoking argument is that you can't see what is being done to your food and you have no knowledge- you would know if you are walking into an establishment that allows smoking and that is your decision (same as it would be to walk away from someone smoking a cigar outside)
1/4/2010 3:59:33 PM
1/4/2010 3:59:35 PM
Sanitation ratings are so easy to manipulate that I put little to no stock in them.
1/4/2010 4:02:13 PM
1/4/2010 4:02:19 PM
^ you're right...it was poorly worded
1/4/2010 4:02:42 PM

1/4/2010 4:15:18 PM
1/4/2010 4:17:17 PM
^^I don't know who you mean by "you guys", but I don't smoke. And icwydt, but it wasn't funny.
1/4/2010 4:18:10 PM
I don't support this law on ethical grounds, but I will reap the benefits of it.
1/4/2010 4:21:46 PM
1/4/2010 4:23:03 PM
you are right, McD, I shouldn't brag because karma IS a bitch. All those smokers who didn't give two shits about the people around them, got what was coming to them.If I keep it up, karma will bite me in the ass and repeal the law.[Edited on January 4, 2010 at 4:27 PM. Reason : .]
