Looks like the blocking pattern will continue so don't be surprised if we see one more chance before winter ends at some point.

I hope its snowing later tonight when I'm out drinking at the Saucer. I just like to see snow falling outside when I'm inside and warm with a pint in my hand

It's gonna snow on Tuesday. B/c I always miss the big Raleigh snowstorms and I will be out of town until next Wednesday night.

my grandpa read in the almanac that there's going to be a big snowstorm the first couple day of march, and it'll make those others we've had look like nothing

Uh yeah that was mentioned before my post. I was pointing that out because it happened that the real weather and the almanac-predicted weather might match up. How in the world did you misunderstand that?

There is a lot of time between now and Wednesday for WRAL to fuel the fire on this potential storm. Then we will all wake up to a shit ton of rain.

NBC17 said mostly rain w/a mix of snow, but no accumulation. that's just shitty forecasting. nearly EVERY model has us with SOME accumulating snow, and almost no rain.

yea NBC is an absolute embarrassment.

seems like the track is becoming more and more certain but the amount of moisture isn't.

the models range from <=0.1" QPF to way over 1", so basically anywhere from 1-12 inches. sounds like a good, definite forecast
