Bassjunkie, where are you located? I'd like those 30-30 bullets, but I'm not close to Raleigh.
4/3/2013 1:58:28 PM
I live in Raleigh, work in Durham.Occasionally I'm out in the Hillsborough / Mebane / Burlington area if that is any closer for you
4/3/2013 2:26:47 PM
I'm in Pinehurst and moving to Wilmington next week
4/3/2013 2:53:08 PM
Anybody seen any .223 for sale?
4/5/2013 2:57:41 PM
all you want if you're willing to pay $1/rd
4/5/2013 3:00:44 PM
I guess I should have worded that differently LOL
4/5/2013 3:08:56 PM
Anyone want to trade 9mm for .40?I have about 500 rounds of 9mm I can trade with.
4/5/2013 3:17:57 PM
^^^^ Jim's had some for $12/box yesterday. Still expensive, but not $1/round expensive.
4/5/2013 8:39:06 PM
but still twice what it should cost
4/5/2013 8:41:41 PM
I picked up 100 rounds of pmc 5.56 a few hours ago at 10 bucks per box. Higher than it should be, but I can deal with it.
4/5/2013 11:58:44 PM
I'm holding out for PMC X-TAC 55gr to be back at $5.79 / box
4/6/2013 12:49:17 PM
Would like some 9mm to play with the new toy i picked up yesterday . I have .38 sp. and 12 ga. slugs to trade.
4/16/2013 9:40:39 AM
4/16/2013 10:19:30 AM
Sorry, but won't sell at this point. I can still shoot 9mm, just would like .40 so I can shoot my glocks.
4/16/2013 11:47:05 AM
Its cheaper to buy a 9mm conversion barrel then by a good bit of .40 ammo.
4/16/2013 2:03:21 PM
Not when you have 5 glocks (yes, I realize I could buy just two barrels to cover all sizes)I would still rather just have .40.
4/16/2013 2:34:24 PM
Thoughts on when shelves will be stocked again? I was told Octoberish at best by 2 LGS owners.
4/22/2013 11:44:27 AM
No one knows. Anecdotally, I've noticed that online sources of ammo are staying in sock longer (hours as opposed to minutes) and that prices are getting better. That makes me think that things are getting a little better. Nevertheless, I still haven't seen bulk 22lr on shelves since Christmas.[Edited on April 22, 2013 at 11:55 AM. Reason : can't type]
4/22/2013 11:53:55 AM
they're guessing, just like anyone who claims to have an idea
4/22/2013 11:54:25 AM
boxes of 22lr in amounts of 50 and 100 are becoming easier to find.im interested in 30-06 and 303 if anyones got it.[Edited on April 22, 2013 at 11:55 AM. Reason : -]
4/22/2013 11:55:16 AM

4/22/2013 12:02:43 PM
Please guys I have a match?
4/22/2013 12:19:08 PM
^haha, dick.
4/22/2013 2:24:23 PM
well i guess i'll be pulling a late night loading ammo. and yes it is for a match DICK I have plenty of 165gr, but don't like that for match shooting. and trust me 200-300 rds is far from stocking up. thats typically what i find in the couch cushions!!! i've just already raided that
4/23/2013 1:35:47 PM
i was just kidding, man/message_topic.aspx?topic=621744300 rds is less than an hour on my dillon
4/23/2013 1:55:43 PM
I don't know if I have any 190 gr stuff in my stash, would have to check it later this week.
4/23/2013 7:54:59 PM
Just an FYI for those in the southern Charlotte area, apparently a new Gander Mountain just opened up on Friday in Monroe. A coworker stopped by and mentioned although everything was the (normal) elevated prices they did have tons of all types of ammo in stock. No surprise I guess Gander corporate saves up what supplies they can for store openings and big events.
5/5/2013 1:31:01 AM
some of the swamp people cast was there tooa buddy of mine had troy sign a camo 10/22he also wrote "choot em" on it, lolisnt this like their new regional showroom?
5/5/2013 11:51:08 AM
gander mountain can eat shit and die
5/5/2013 2:52:50 PM
^You seem to be angry at just about everyone and everything gun/ammo related in all these threads^^Yeah my coworker said they apparently have been contracted by Gander for all their store openings across the nation lately. Pandering to their main demographic no doubt and I don't blame them.
5/5/2013 3:52:44 PM
just gander mountain and freedom group
5/5/2013 3:57:29 PM
Why does Gander Mountain suck besides being expensive?Bass Pro is expensive too, are they owned by some less-evil mega corporation?
5/5/2013 7:48:06 PM
no reason except they are way overpriced on absolutely everything they sellbass pro sucks too. they can afford to charge too much because of the name they've built. their stores are nothing more than tourist traps.[Edited on May 5, 2013 at 8:47 PM. Reason : ads]
5/5/2013 8:46:27 PM
Gander Mountain had Winchester 230 grain .45 ACP for $230/box (500 rds)...bought 3 today. Slightly higher than Georgia-Arms, but new ammo none-the-less. Probably have about 20 bulk boxes left. Limit one per person, unless you buy it, take it out to your car and buy another from another salesman
5/5/2013 8:58:49 PM
i'd sell my 1911 if that's what i had to pay for .45 ACP
5/5/2013 9:12:31 PM
^^^ I was in a Bass Pro a month or two ago, and saw several different people having friends take their pictures in front of displays inside the Bass Pro.
5/5/2013 9:17:22 PM
^^what do you normally pay for yours (post sandy hook)?
5/5/2013 10:32:52 PM
i loaded a bunch last summer and haven't had to mess with .45 ACP since then.ballpark prices (don't recall exactly what i paid):1k plated 230 gr bullets = $1301k once-fired cases = $751k primers = $30lb of W231 (enough for ~1400 rds) = $20so $.25/rd on the first firing. under $.20/rd after that. even cheaper with lead bullets.i recently picked up a lyman bullet mold for .45 230 gr ball. i've got some free lead, so that puts me under $.05/rd.
5/5/2013 10:49:18 PM
i bought some federal 100 round bulk packs at walmart a few months back for $29.97/box. if that helps anything above $18ish crazy
5/6/2013 10:22:32 AM
ISO heavy "Match" 223/5.56 75-77 gr for some testing & a DMR comp
6/5/2013 11:31:49 PM
looking for ~100 rounds of bulk box type 380 ball to let the wife shoot and break in her PK380. If you see some, or have some for sale/trade, let me know. I have 22 LR, 9mm, 40 SW and 45 ACP tucked away and may be willing to work a trade, unfort we bought the PK post election thus 380 has been hard to find.
6/9/2013 7:54:12 AM
^^ never mind i picked up some Hornady Tap 75gr BTHP, holds close to 1 MOA,not great but acceptable for a gas gun
6/10/2013 9:52:26 AM
^^ I've got a bunch of 380 would be willing to work out some kind of trade for 9mm
6/11/2013 5:44:03 PM
OK, so a while back, I mentioned that I had some 7mm REM brass to get rid of. I'd saved it up, thinking I'd eventually reload it, but then my 7 mag got stolen.I have ~110 cases, all once fired. I'd say roughly half are nickel plated. The other good news is that I'll be in NC (Triangle area) for the next couple of weeks, minus a few days down at Myrtle Beach. If anyone wants them, make me a reasonable offer. This is your chance to get them without having to have them shipped up from FL.
6/16/2013 12:15:25 AM
I have a couple boxes of these left. Make me a reasonable offer via PM if interested. (1) Federal 22LR Copper Plated High Velocity 36 Grain Hollow Point (550 rounds/brick)(2) Remington .223 55gr MC (20 rounds/box)
6/18/2013 11:13:03 AM
$30 for the 7mm brass. ~110 of 'em. I'm in Raleigh/Durham/Fuquay visiting for a little bit.Mostly Winchester (probably half-ish nickel plated); some Hornady. Might be a few others, but primarily those brands, I think.
6/20/2013 2:14:12 PM
Looking to buy 3-5 boxes of 9mm. PM me if you're looking to sell a few boxes for $
7/2/2013 11:13:32 AM

7/5/2013 2:15:01 PM
