Just go with rivers. I don't think tavaris even knows how to throw a football--I have gostowski. Kasay is available as a free agent. Should I get kasay?
9/11/2008 9:16:28 PM
against Champ and Bly?
9/11/2008 9:17:25 PM
Hasn't been an issue before.
9/11/2008 9:19:17 PM
Jackson is tempting because he can put up some rushing yards, but I'd probably drop him
9/11/2008 9:20:40 PM
i have rivers and cutler on my team...which do i start (thanks a fucking lot brady)
9/12/2008 3:25:55 AM
^ I'd start Cutler. I think he will go off with Marshall back.
9/12/2008 6:21:08 AM
Haha I love the fantasy matchup ratings on yahoo. Look at the kickers. At least half the kickers say "Rams may get shut out" for their comment. And for Kasay it says "Just joined the team so best to look elsewhere".On a serious note - John Kasay or Mason Crosby this week?

I'm hearing Ryan Grant might be a no go for Sunday.. anyone have any official news?
9/12/2008 10:53:39 AM
Lineup time:RB (Bold = 3 starters):Ryan Grant, Kevin Smith, Justin Fargas, Thomas Jones, Julius Jones, Jamal Lewis (I like Kevin Smith the least of the 3 starters)WR (pick 3):Randy Moss, Jerricho Cotchery, Kevin Walter, David Patten, Matt Jones (Pretty sure I have this one set...just Walter is the only if)
9/12/2008 10:54:56 AM
^I would try to get Thomas Jones in there
9/12/2008 10:55:55 AM
Replace Kevin Smith? I guess I was worried about the NE front seven, but the Jets running game is no laughing matter either.
9/12/2008 10:58:19 AM
Which of these guys do you recommend in the event Grant can't go on Sunday?Chris PerryPierre ThomasRicky WilliamsRay Rice
i'm not ready for chris perryon a sidenote- which RB will have the better game for me:Earnest Graham @ AtlantaJerious Norwood @ Tampa Bay[Edited on September 12, 2008 at 11:03 AM. Reason : add Ø]
9/12/2008 11:00:32 AM
yeah slacker i would replace K Smith with T Jones...I think Jones will have a good game, and it cant be stated enough how much the addition of Favre opens up NYJ's running game^Earnest[Edited on September 12, 2008 at 11:06 AM. Reason : .]
9/12/2008 11:06:30 AM
The Houston/Baltimore game is canceled. Don't forget to check and make sure you aren't playing those guys.
9/12/2008 11:07:06 AM
wow really? hurricane ike? cool looks like i wont have to take a flyer on mcgahee this weekdamn i have owen daniels in 1 league too[Edited on September 12, 2008 at 11:08 AM. Reason : .][Edited on September 12, 2008 at 11:12 AM. Reason : .]
9/12/2008 11:08:26 AM
9/12/2008 11:12:18 AM
cool...probably still wait on mcgahee, but i can run with daniels
9/12/2008 11:12:41 AM
Yeah, postphoned until Monday now, but originally they didn't have a day. I'd still be wary and keep an eye on the hurricane.
9/12/2008 11:20:01 AM
that's cool- good heads up regardless
9/12/2008 11:56:51 AM
what do yall think of this trade i propsed:I offered dude Matt Cassel for Jamal Lewis...here's my current starters:QB: BreesWR: Reggie WayneWR: PlaxRB: MarshawnRB: FargasTE: Dallas Clark / RosarioW/R: SelvinMy bench RBs are Mendenhall and Chester Taylor...my bench WRs are Donald Driver and Eddie Royal...I'd like to shore up my RB core since Selvin is part of a committee...I like Fargas but I'd like to get stronger theredude i offered the trade to has Hasselbeck and Warner but isnt happy with that...his RBs are Steven Jackson, Sammy Morris, Ricky Williams and Jamal Lewis...WRs are Roy Williams, Santonio, Javon Walker and Desean Jacksonhe's trying to get rid of a TE (Cooley, Fasano) but I'm good there with Clark and Rosario...thoughts?
9/12/2008 12:35:17 PM
nvm.[Edited on September 12, 2008 at 1:05 PM. Reason : .]
9/12/2008 12:55:45 PM
Jamal Lewis for Cassel is a fucking steal, and you don't really need him anyway with Brees. Cassel is an unknown and Lewis is a consistent top 10 RB for the past few years...aging, but still good enough to be a #1/#2 RB in almost all leagues.I play Fargas over Lewis right now, but only because the Browns keep getting behind so often.
9/12/2008 12:56:56 PM
9/12/2008 12:59:12 PM
i had Lewis in both of my leagues last year and he was solidI hope dude accepts the trade...i dunno though, he's kind of a moron...he picked up the Giants kicker after the Thursday night opener...talk about impulsive...hopefully Cassel will have a good game against the Jets and I can go ahead and unload him
9/12/2008 12:59:37 PM
Proposed Trade:Get : Steven Jackson ( I have no RBs)Give up : Kurt Warner, Darren Mcfadden, throw in WR ( 2 QB league, they have Kitna and Hasselbeck. Both have same bye weeks and Hasselbeck lost his WR's)Is that a fair trade? Don't want to rob the guy (a friend in first year playing).[Edited on September 12, 2008 at 1:06 PM. Reason : .]
9/12/2008 1:05:32 PM
^I'd say that's fair.
9/12/2008 1:25:02 PM
Who is going to have a bigger week?RB: Maroney or Sammy Morris?WR: Isaac Bruce or Bryant Johnson?
9/12/2008 1:53:53 PM
for real how old is isaac bruce
9/12/2008 2:20:23 PM
35
9/12/2008 2:23:38 PM
^^^ I'm asking myself the same thing: Maroney v. Morris.I'm going with Morris this week -- he was money for me last year
9/12/2008 2:31:48 PM
Ryan Grant with a sore hammy vs. Detroit.orChris Johnson vs Cincy.
9/12/2008 2:55:43 PM
^sounds like a win-win...tough call
9/12/2008 2:59:29 PM
id go with Johnson^^nowPeyton Manning or Drew BreesJCotchGreg JenningsCalvin JohnsonMarvin Harrison pick 2im leaning towards Johnson and Cotch but Jennings could be a good one too instead of Cotch...you tell me
9/12/2008 3:08:52 PM
Trent Edwards, Pennington or Garrand this week?
9/12/2008 3:27:55 PM
^^^^I'm going with Grant even banged up. Detroit makes me salivate too much to pass up. Even if he only plays half a game, you know he'll have 100 yards and a score.^^I like Cotch and Jennings actually....both are the #1 target and had good weeks last week.^Pennington by a slight edge, but it's a tough call. I don't like Garrard until his Oline stops sucking so much.[Edited on September 12, 2008 at 4:54 PM. Reason : ]
9/12/2008 4:53:19 PM
Good news Grant owners (myself included): apparently he practiced today and looked good, still not 100% for Sunday though. But as ^ said, even if he plays half the game he should end up with a score and some yards.
9/12/2008 5:02:13 PM
Is it worth holding on to Deuce or no?Also, Ocho or Devry?[Edited on September 12, 2008 at 5:10 PM. Reason : ]
9/12/2008 5:09:01 PM
i'd say deuce is done after last sunday and pierre thomas taking the majority of the carries . he still may get a few points, but i'd go ahead and drop him if there's anyone else out therealso
9/12/2008 5:26:59 PM
Wes Welker/Matt Cassel for Donald Driver/Jay CutlerMajor win there right?
9/12/2008 5:42:52 PM
if you're getting Driver/Cutler
9/12/2008 5:52:27 PM
Yeah. We've been back and forth about it, but I think hes going to take it. Crossing my fingers.
9/12/2008 5:53:43 PM
what do you guys think of maroney this year? is he worthy of a 2nd RB starting spot?i currently have gore, mendenhall, rudi johnson, and hightower at RB and plax, andre johnson, welker, and jennings at WR. we start 2 RB, 2 WR and a flex so obviously i need to move one of my WRs for a starting back, but i just don't know if this is the right spot to do it. i've been offered maroney for plaxico...what do the tww experts think?
9/13/2008 9:11:28 AM
^^HELL no. terrible trade. plax is a beast. worthy of putting up some huge numbers every week. maroney is probably going to lose a lot of his carries to sammy morris this year anyways. i had maroney last year and he screwed mei'd start hightower along with gore if i were you. he's got the most potential
9/13/2008 10:32:30 AM
Who to start as a 3rd WR?DeSean Jackson, Joey Galloway, or David Patten?
9/13/2008 12:00:14 PM
do receptions counti say desean either way
9/13/2008 12:05:50 PM
Yes it is a ppr league, and also has return yards.
9/13/2008 12:06:55 PM
can't figure out who to leave out at WR this week. play 3. Larry Fitz vs. MiamiSantonio Holmes @ ClevelandBrandon Marshall vs. SDDeSean Jackson @ Dal
