i really wanted to go to this bad but i didnt even bother getting tickets because i dont think ill be free that day / i hate dealing with ticketmaster
2/28/2008 12:29:12 PM
I hope they cover Alter Bridge, that would be the heat!
2/28/2008 12:29:20 PM
^^ this is why you stay up all night for WASTE ticketsno ticketmaster
2/28/2008 12:29:58 PM
I actually just went through a bunch of my Radiohead concerts and Lucky comes up a bunch in encores.
2/28/2008 12:33:38 PM
Haha. I got on W.A.S.T.E. about 30 minutes after tickets went on sale and it was too late by then.And..
2/28/2008 12:33:52 PM
2/28/2008 12:35:48 PM
the truly important concept is that W.A.S.T.E. comes from The Crying of Lot 49the secondary one is that Radiohead is awesome for using W.A.S.T.E. as the title of their merchandise and ticketing page
2/28/2008 12:38:12 PM
2/28/2008 12:38:50 PM

Let Down is my favorite song as well, and though I've seen Radiohead quite a few times, they have never played it
2/28/2008 12:42:45 PM
If I remember right from interviews, the band has said it's a hard song to do live and because of how old it is they kinda started leaving it off of setlists.
2/28/2008 12:47:28 PM
"Let Down" is easily my personal fave radiohead song too. I think syncing the guitars to sound like how it sounds on the original track is really tough (more of a timing thing).
2/28/2008 2:01:21 PM
^ Yeah, the intro part (which plays on top of the rythm part) is in a totally different time signature and it's supposed to be really, really difficult to get right live.
2/28/2008 2:31:28 PM
^^ saw it summer 2006 at Tower Theatre in Philly. totally was blown away that they'd played it. but they did play it a few times on that summer's tour. could be up for this tour as well.

i'll be seeing them at All Points West in jersey city. just got a one day pass for saturday. tix are crazy expensive for a festival, which is why i'm only going one day.

God damnit, it looks like Liars are going to be the opening band.Liars, why do I hate you so?http://www.livenation.com/event/getEvent/eventId/317547/
3/15/2008 8:08:54 AM
Nice. Not surprising though since they are one of Thom's favorite groups.
3/15/2008 9:38:32 AM
Yeah, definitely not surprising. It seemed as though Liars and Autechre were names that kept re-appearing, both of which are favorites of Thom.Realistically, I was holding out hope for someone I had not seen before like Battles. In my dreams, I was hoping they would bring their old mates Elbow over from the U.K. or GRIZZLY BEAR! Grizzly Bear has an album coming up, and I haven't seen a full tour released yet, only sporadic dates. That would've been a great pairing.
3/15/2008 10:15:15 AM
I saw the Liars open for Interpol last year, they were great.but yeah I do wish it was someone like Battles[Edited on March 15, 2008 at 2:00 PM. Reason : hfsd]
