^^have you done martinis and imax? i enjoy doing that every so oftenyou could always preface dinner with something like the Louvre @ High Museumor you could go to the drive-in....with good weather it's funif the weather is good, going to the fernbank observatory can be fun if the partner is up for something like thatif you've never been to the stone mountain laser show, it's one of those things you have to do here...i for one, thought it was trashy and embarrassing, but you have to go at some pointi always keep my eye on what's going on at the fox theatre

The only laser show I've seen at Stone Mountain is for the holidays so it's dancing laser elves and Holly Jolly Christmas playing - what is it normally?
8/20/2008 2:31:39 PM
8/20/2008 2:49:25 PM
forgot about martini's and imax, good call.
8/20/2008 6:22:55 PM
taking a client to Season's 52 tomorrow night, never been there before
8/20/2008 10:45:54 PM
its not bad, seasonal menu is a nice change so it doesnt get old the wine selection is ok, i really wasnt impressed order an appetizer if you eat a lot because the main dishes are all < 500 calories
8/21/2008 12:03:39 AM
yeah, it was alright, not overly impressed... its no Rathbun's haha, or should i say Krog Bar, with the amount of wine we had in there beforehand shit on bread would have tasted great
8/22/2008 1:45:55 AM
i would go for just martinis, and skip the imax. you get the drinks and the jazz and can skip the corny movies. most of the time the imax movies are pretty horrible and can kill the buzz from the martinis. i prefer to use that buzz to build momentum for an evening filled with great decisions...like clermont or mjq or gladys knights
8/22/2008 10:55:52 AM
only stone mountain laser show i've seen was on memorial daythey had a person in a spacesuitand played that fucking redneck ass song about putting a boot up someone's ass
8/22/2008 5:50:13 PM
ugh. i can't see either of us getting really excited about the laser show. i've got until sunday. i'll figure something out.

anyone know of any good (and by good I mean shitty) Karaoke places ITP?I dont want a place where people think they are auditioning for American Idol, I want a shitty, fun place, with a lot of people. I hate karaoke, but that doesnt mean it doesnt entertain me if its shitty enough.[Edited on September 16, 2008 at 1:06 AM. Reason : d]

9/28/2008 7:57:03 PM
the QT on sydney marcus has been keeping in decent supply. but there's about a 45 minute wait. i've got enough to last until wednesday. hopefully things will start to pick up by then. this shit is seriously getting out of hand.
9/28/2008 8:49:52 PM

9/28/2008 10:12:21 PM

you guys must be having horrible lucki have yet to wait in a line
9/28/2008 11:38:45 PM
i haven't yet, but the poachers are starting to get to the more residential gas stations in the highlands and L5P area where I live...and they're mostly private stores, which don't seem to get refuled as much.i work from home but am likely picking a project up on the perimeter...that's a lot of gas for someone used to filling up 1, maybe 2 times a month
9/28/2008 11:53:29 PM
well just ran out to find some...got $20 on Moreland south of I-20...the BMW definately was out of place there and I had to beat back a couple of crack whores (seriously, there were crack whores there hitting up the people filling up)
9/29/2008 12:41:20 AM
i got gas on friday. i went to like, 10 stations, and ended up waiting an hour in line anyways, at the shell at northside and 75. i called costco before i went searching and they said they were out of gas.Perdue Delayed Asking For Gas Shortage Help:http://www.wsbtv.com/automotive/17578885/detail.html

for me it was last night at 1am in the ghetto
9/29/2008 8:09:19 PM
amazing sight today - so my office is in the GP building and has a great view of the connector as it winds through downtown. today at 5:15 PM, the connector was flowing freely, no slow-downs. i have never ever ever seen the connector not backed up in at least one direction at that hour. NEVER. i guess there's just mad car pooling going on right now to save gas. also, last night i was at moe's and joe's in the highlands having a beer when a tanker trucked pulled into the chevron next door. within 5 minutes the parking lot was packed with cars waiting for it to unload. crazy.
9/29/2008 10:38:32 PM
9/30/2008 8:40:32 AM
^last couple of times i went by there they were out. i have to fill up 2x a week. i'm debating whether to go tonight or tomorrow morning. [Edited on September 30, 2008 at 6:08 PM. Reason : .]

10/6/2008 2:03:17 PM
i had no idea...we were at loco's watching the red sox game when they informed us that they were closing at midnight...the wife of one of my buddies was out with some girlfriends at 5 paces, so we went there to watch. he had a buddy he played football with in town from boston, so the two of us watched the game and made fun of the dudes in there
10/8/2008 1:17:43 AM
went to wasabi for some sushi last week and noticed no mas cantina right next door - met up with an old college friend there on sat. night - wasabi had some great rolls and the guacamole and margaritas at no mas were great as well - it's a shitty part of town but they share the same complimentary valet parking lot so it's not a big deali recommend both places found out i know an ATL TWWer by a degree of separation as well
10/12/2008 8:32:00 PM
