according to Rivals USC has another 5star recruit for next year as well from Patterson school although I couldnt find him on scout.com --Davon Jefferson-I dont think the Smith thing is anything to worry about.. they havnt listed him as a commit but they have written 3 articles about him commiting.. and I wouldnt see why we wouldnt be able to get a player from Mt. Zion if he did as well as has been reported on the SAT.
11/15/2006 11:48:44 PM
^^yeah if his SAT is high enough, which they say it is, then the school doesn't matter. Basically, if Smith graduates with his GPA where it currently is, the NCAA IS fucking us. I mean its a real high school, there's just some wierd shit about certian classes that they take in place of required ones that dont count for the NCAA (at least thats how I've heard it)...but SAT is the big one here.
11/15/2006 11:53:00 PM
no, i think the NCAA considers Mt. Zion to be a basketball factoryso we're not getting fucked, we know what we are getting ourselves into before hand

well then as long as the NCAA stays the course, we should be fine, if scores are as indicatedbut if not, it is a risk that our coaching staff had to know existed

I am very impressed with the recruiting class this year, especially given the fact the Lowe took the job pretty late.
11/16/2006 2:45:48 PM
^couldnt agree any more...looking forward to the Lowe Era
11/16/2006 3:45:14 PM
He has exceeded my expectations. I still wish he could have held on to Wright. Nonetheless though, what he has done so far has been impressive, in short time.

11/16/2006 4:01:20 PM
^ yup, that's about it. except i was excited just when lowe said he was going to run a traditional offense, not after i saw it in person.
11/16/2006 4:21:54 PM
no matter how you look at it, with Lowe opening up the offense and a stellar recruiting class coming in, you gotta be optimistic about the future of wolfpack basketball
11/16/2006 5:04:05 PM
Thanks for the update package2. I thought Tracy wasn't going to sign the LOI until the spring. If you're right about him signing already, that is huge for us.
11/16/2006 5:11:26 PM
^^^ Damn if that's not my exact thoughts on paper. Well written and honest. I'm an optimistic critic as well.

11/17/2006 12:21:13 PM
where the hell have you been?I didnt want mayo really anywayseveryone and their brotehr knows hes only gonna be there for one year then to the NBA.he didnt even get recruited by USC, he FAXED the coach to tell him he would play there.
11/17/2006 12:36:03 PM
Yeah, who the fuck would want one year with a freakin awesome player at a position where we are really thin. I cant believe USC is even taking this kid. Wow, they are really in trouble for doing this....who will they get to take his place, especially since they know he's a one and out player and have a head start on recruiting the position. I mean seriously, who would take this kid.
11/17/2006 12:41:12 PM
He's probably a really good player, but as cocky as he is, he's proly not gonna be a good team player, and most likley wont make them any better of a team[Edited on November 17, 2006 at 12:47 PM. Reason : .]
11/17/2006 12:47:29 PM
damn, that sounded really hcgay-ish, my bad
11/17/2006 12:48:30 PM
he's the kinda kid you DONT want on a TEAM especially on the college levelhes young, cocky, arrogant and knows he is good...hes gonna want to play every minute and be showcased off, he wont play team ball like you need to play on the college level. One player can only take you so far, sure you wouldnt mind him for a few years...but its like the Ced situation, hes just gonna leave us worse off than we were.so on that note, i dont think i would want him on this team. sure maybe, why not...but it would bring down the team.TO
11/17/2006 12:51:38 PM
No guards for next year....that's the only thing we haven't landed yet.Should have went after Jamelle.
11/17/2006 1:16:18 PM
Him being cocky and a bad player are pretty huge assumptions. How do you know? he may be a great team/individual player like D Wade. The other point is Brandon Rush's success at kansas. All that kid wanted to do in HS was go into the NBA, but he decided on college for a year and performed very well.Don't start playing Mayo to be a selfish thug until he gives college a shot.
11/17/2006 1:45:13 PM
11/17/2006 1:48:00 PM
theres plenty reasons why hes selfish.^ i had that typed and Xed out.the kid is like TRUST ME IM THAT GOOD YOU NEED MEfor all we know he could be terrible in college, just like that kid at Maryland that was #2 in his high school class after Lebron.[Edited on November 17, 2006 at 1:49 PM. 11/17/2006 1:48:19 PM
^i remember them talkin about him last night, but cant rememebr who it is
11/17/2006 1:52:25 PM
there were a ton in that class, i think it was Mike Jones(who?) but also in that class was Ibekwe, Fofana, Will Bowers, and DJ strawberryCome to think of it, i think that was the year we didnt have a top 100 recruit with Herb...shows why we suck this year and why Maryland is so good, they should be a sleeper this year with all their depth.

C.J. Williams is scheduled to announce his college decision this week. He was at the Delaware State game.
11/19/2006 10:36:38 PM
Last I heard, Williams had moved his press conference to 4:00 today. Is this still the case? Anyone got any updates?

nah it's tomarrow
11/20/2006 4:40:57 PM
about a 99.9999999999999999% chance he commits to us
11/20/2006 10:09:00 PM
If we flop on CJ I'll be really surprised.
11/20/2006 10:10:30 PM
^i wouldn't be surprised if he didn't come after the delaware state game, the crowd was DEAD. there was more noise at the exhibition games.
11/20/2006 10:12:03 PM
who cares, we won, it was an easy win...no need to get totally hyped out of the ceiling every single minuteim sure after seeing those dunks and how well the offense workedhes gonna be here
11/20/2006 10:13:32 PM
he won't base his decision solely on one game, especially the 2nd game of the season against a small-time opponent. if he cared about crowd noise that much he'd wait till later in the season to come.
11/20/2006 10:14:14 PM
it wasnt that dead. i mean we were playing delaware state, wha the fuck do you expect? at least we won by 20 and didnt just barely squeak by

11/20/2006 10:40:09 PM
wow didn't mean to start such a FEUD. but the point is this, it was a terrible game to be at as far as the student sections goes. everyone was just kindof standing around, even the fight song hardly got noise. but hey you listened on the radio, you probably know better than i do.we played well, however, for those of you that can't seem to seperate the gameplay from the noise in the stands.
11/20/2006 10:43:39 PM
Well, I was there... and like i said, it wasnt that weak of a crowd considering the opponent, and the section i was sitting in wasnt very quiet at all, maybe it was just your section that was bringin' the weak sauce
