when sol busted in the room and saved adama it was fucking bad ass. Not only did he totally own that dude but the speech after was excellent. god damn this show rocks
11/18/2006 1:03:12 AM
the next ep looks like some bullshit filler, though
11/18/2006 7:27:10 AM
yup ^
11/18/2006 7:32:46 AM
it does, but really this episode looked like some bullshit filler too from the preview. They find some new guy? what is this gilligan's island?
11/18/2006 4:04:10 PM
we dont question the battlestar galactica
11/18/2006 7:21:40 PM
11/19/2006 1:57:23 AM
we dont question the battlestar galactica (but I hope it's not more of that Scar bullshit)
11/19/2006 6:10:59 PM
Whatever- Scar nearly had sex in it.Speaking of which:[Edited on November 19, 2006 at 6:36 PM. Reason : .]
11/19/2006 6:28:53 PM
we dont question the battlestar galactica about the scar episode, because the scar episode ruled
11/19/2006 7:29:58 PM
haha, yeah...i liked the SCAR episode also
11/19/2006 7:50:38 PM
I just couldn't buy the whole "one raider is super badass and has a history and is gunna get you and your KIDS" story when I see the hundreds of thousands of other raiders out there I mean, in retrospect I'm probably hitting it a little harder than it deserves, but it was no 'low earth orbit viper deployment'
11/19/2006 8:56:34 PM
this episode was great because of the lucy lawless - baltar - caprica trystSCAR was great because.... goddamn, it's a fucking bad-ass raider!plus, having the raiders re-spawn with knowledge they've gained from before? genius.
11/19/2006 10:00:33 PM
^^ why not? You're missing a huge part of the story - the fact that the cylons aren't just mass-manufactured automotons. They are individuals and have personalities and are unique. To think that one cannot distiguish himself as "super badass" is placing the raiders into the simple homogenous mechanical mindset. In reality each is as unique as you and I - or do you believe that you can beat Champ Bailey in a 40 yd dash or Lance Armstrong on a bicycle? In a diverse environment, unique individuals are going to respond differently and the superior in that environment are going to begin to stand out and establish themselves. Particuarly when they can cycle through several lifetimes.
11/19/2006 10:16:04 PM
we dont question the battlestar galactica because the battlestar galactica doesnt understand such well written statements and long words.
11/19/2006 10:46:41 PM
The scene on Friday’s episode where Lucy Lawless gets the centurion to execute her was some of the most bad ass shit on TV in a long whileJust the whole set up of the scene, the orders she gave the centurion and then the scenes during rebirth where she felt like she was touching godI love it
11/20/2006 9:53:46 AM
The suicide bomber scene was pretty badass, I think.
11/20/2006 11:33:12 AM
Very very kewl indeed. It seems like most people think next weeks episode is gonna be nothin but filler. Wouldnt it be crazy unexpected if its an episode that kills off a character?I mean, nobody would see that coming.
11/20/2006 12:53:21 PM
even though they do include some episodes that seem to be filler (scar) they still seem to work. They expand or complicate some character. but i think one of the biggest strength of the show over all is how it feels like there is a coherent story line throughout the whole thing; you feel like its actually leading up to something.[Edited on November 20, 2006 at 1:04 PM. The admiralty shot bulldog initially to provoke a war they wanted just as roslin said.Proof:1) When being briefed about the mission, there is a brief shot of a black admiral that looks upset or disgusted over something. That something is his knowledge of what they plan to do to Adama and the mission. There is no other reason to include the shot of that admiral.2)The ship that shot Bulldog initially jumps in, shoots his engines out to just wound him and be found, then jumps away. No way that was a cylon. no way. It was a colonial ship with an unknown transponder or class of ship. Then the actual cylons jump in with those 2 ships that were the other unknown ships, and then Adama is forced to shoot him down(most likely he was instructed to do so by the admiralty). This point of them wanting the war is a plot point that could show up in the future. I like that they are keeping their options open.booya

The Scar episode of reminded me of the Space: Above and Beyond Episode "The Angriest Angel" (which btw was one of the best damn episodes of sci fi ever, along with the the episode "Who Monitors the Birds")[Edited on November 21, 2006 at 12:15 AM. Reason : a]

it just occured to me how much they drink in this show. Not just Ty either, whenever anyone sits down to talk about anything they have a drink like its always cocktail hour in space.
11/21/2006 9:50:23 PM
^It's just like real life. So what?
11/21/2006 9:54:48 PM
Well, your entire species is on the verge of being wiped out. I would wanna get a little silly myself
11/22/2006 9:02:05 AM
at the rate tigh goes through booze they probably have a factory ship just to re-supply him.
11/22/2006 10:44:43 AM
yeah i was thinking about the supply issue, seems like they have a limitless supply of tobacco and alcohol not to mention where does the food come from. I guess there are some transport ships in the fleet that were shipping this stuff.
11/22/2006 6:12:42 PM
You could kind of argue, that they grew abunch of plants for that year and had an emergency supply on BSG at the time they retreated. One thing I dont like is that they are in deep space and you can actually see the fleet. There wouldnt be enough light to actually see the fleet outside the windows.
11/22/2006 6:47:04 PM
well, they have shown episodes with Ty manning the still
11/22/2006 6:50:36 PM
yeah i love the scene in the pegasus where ty and the xo from pegasus are drinking and the dude calls galactica a bucket, ty gets mad and says "just for that you have to sit out this round"

Doesn't Cloud Nine have all kinds of gardens and stuff?
11/28/2006 11:48:20 PM
^ yeah, too bad that ship was nuked along with a few other fleet ships over new caprica
11/29/2006 2:11:25 AM
Yeah, and the botanical cruiser we saw in the miniseries got left there because its FTL drive wasn't working or something.I'm sure they have a few more. I just figure the black market should still be an issue for everyone.
11/29/2006 9:19:31 AM
gotta wait 2 weeks for a fucking boxing episode.there better be cool shit on the cylon side of things
11/29/2006 12:59:16 PM
yeah getting to see inside the cylon's experiences adds a whole new dimension to the show. Makes things interesting even if really important events arent happening with the humans.
11/29/2006 4:40:16 PM
is it just me or do you get the feeling that they're starting to run out of stories?
11/29/2006 9:18:24 PM
Shhhh... We do not question the Battlestar Galactica.
11/29/2006 9:30:01 PM
the boxing episode is going to be a flashback show of what happened during the one year jump.
11/29/2006 9:56:26 PM
Oh, that will be niceand yes, no questioning
11/29/2006 10:18:15 PM
aaaaaaaahhh... well that would make this episode a hell of a lot more exciting then just a random boxing episode in space. i guess them doing the whole time split thing allowed them to get a couple more stories out of this. but, seriously... i feel like they go through stories a little faster then they need to. Could have had a little more with Cain.... and some other story lines. sigh.
11/30/2006 1:37:56 AM
in case you guys haven't heard yet, BSG is moving to sunday after the midseason break.
11/30/2006 2:21:14 AM
now the nerds are going to complain because they have to find something else to do on friday nights.
11/30/2006 6:48:37 PM
Dexter vs BSG? The move doesn't really bother me though. As much as I love BSG, I can't bring myself to sit at home friday night and watch TV so I usually end up watching it Saturday afternoon anyways
11/30/2006 7:19:33 PM
11/30/2006 7:21:39 PM
is the midseason break after this friday?
11/30/2006 7:48:29 PM
i hope not.
12/1/2006 12:42:14 PM
We only have this next one (Unfinished Business) and one more (The Passage) before the break.
12/1/2006 12:59:58 PM
actually..we have one more after that.."The Eye Of Jupiter"
12/1/2006 2:23:14 PM
