that would be a huge pain to try and accomodate 90 person blocks w/ the confirmation method, just seems like it would be a nightmare with all the possible outcomes.
9/20/2005 12:51:22 AM
so seriously peoplemake a big scene about carolina people in the student section till cops and ushers drag them out
9/20/2005 9:27:46 AM
so is NWG the corner grass at north west?
9/20/2005 9:54:25 AM
^ Correct
9/20/2005 10:01:12 AM
you shouldn't be nervous as hell printing your ticket outbecause you should've done it 2x already. thanks to you douches, i don't have a ticket yet.
9/20/2005 10:12:29 AM
Just glad to know that people who were too "busy" to come to the EKU you game and who think VTech is a good phone maker got UNC tickets.Glad to see the system working.
9/20/2005 10:16:08 AM
i'm pissed off. Especially since I found out that the entire mass of people behind me at EKU who left in the 1st quarter received tickets.plain bullshit.
9/20/2005 10:19:36 AM
But dude, they are doing the best they can given the limited time frame. They only had all summer to come up with a system.Wait..
9/20/2005 10:22:15 AM
this system fucking sucks.
9/20/2005 10:45:43 AM
theres no good way to do tickets except maybe a campout, but i'm sure our university will go for that....your only option if you want to be guaranteed tickets is to buy season tickets when they go on sale.
9/20/2005 10:49:04 AM
BECAUSE WITH THE OLD SYSTEM THOSE PEOPLE WOULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED FROM GETTING TICKETS
9/20/2005 10:57:36 AM
feel free to join SG or write your student senator...they have the power to change things as well, but no one's stepped up yet and asked for any specific changes
9/20/2005 11:46:44 AM
For some reason I can't login to TicketReturn. Tried multiple browsers...anyone else in the same situation?
9/20/2005 11:47:07 AM
works for me
9/20/2005 11:49:08 AM
Yeah, me too. This is odd. I login fine w/ my name, and then I logout and try to go on and print my roomie's ticket off (I have his ID and pass) and it gives me a 500 error. Any idea what's up? I gotta claim this today for him.Tried IE, Firefox on a PCand Firefox, Camino, and Safari on a Mac, all in the library, w/ no luck logging in with HIS name while mine works fine on all of them[Edited on September 20, 2005 at 11:53 AM. Reason : .]
9/20/2005 11:52:22 AM
I got the same shit going on. Any ideas? I don't want to get screwed out of this ticket.
9/20/2005 11:54:11 AM
Yeah, something's jacked up in their system obviously.Lee, any way to know what's up? My roomie's gonna be pissed if he can't claim his ticket (and more importantly, so is everybody else that is in this same boat).
9/20/2005 11:59:19 AM
9/20/2005 12:06:15 PM
^ amen. And the ticket site seems to be working fine right now.
9/20/2005 12:23:47 PM
Yeah with SOME IDs.My ID checks in fine. My roomie's doesn't. There is a problem.
9/20/2005 12:25:22 PM
send me UnityIDs of people that arent' working, and we'll claim your tickets for youUnityID is the thing in the front of your email btw, not numbers
9/20/2005 12:36:12 PM
Jacked up on our end too. I printed mine yesterday. The Ladyfriend can't get into the system from my computer now. This wasn't an issue before.I'll be up in the belltower with an SKS if these tickets are fucked up. I went to the game at UNC and have been waiting a year to get over that.
9/20/2005 12:39:37 PM
^so y would u be in the belltower? you already have your ticket. who cares about your woman
9/20/2005 12:47:42 PM
Figured it best to post in here...instead of PMing everyoneThey have noticed the problem w/ some people not being able to sign in, and they are working on it already....shoudl be working within an hour or two
9/20/2005 1:12:23 PM
I especially appreciate the fact that you said "write your senator" when I'm sitting here pointing out the stupidity of the system you fucking created.
9/20/2005 2:49:01 PM
The ID that wasn't logging in just logged in, let me claim, and let me print. Thanks again for the quick work Lee
9/20/2005 2:51:00 PM
^^that's fine, but I'm not making major changes, and most of the things people think are stupid really aren't....unless student senate demands a huge change, it won't happenit's not my fault you don't like it, I couldn't care less to be frankthe thing is that it helps more people than the former system, and that's the bottom line...it's meant to be fair to everyone, not just to people who post on TWW[Edited on September 20, 2005 at 2:52 PM. Reason : ^^]
9/20/2005 2:51:57 PM
9/20/2005 2:56:46 PM
oh, I'm not saying the old system didn't work...I completely agreed that it "worked"but the new system at least gives the opportunity for more to go to the game that want to...and that all just really centers around being able to release a ticket if you're not going to use it, which is why you still have a chance of getting a ticket tomorrow and thursday
9/20/2005 2:58:55 PM
who the hell will release a ticket?now, I'm going to have to scalp a season ticket at the gate. Old system just required someone to actually put effort into getting a ticket rather than sitting on their asses.here's a solution, require people to claim their ticket within the first 24 hours. Enough of this two day bullshit.
9/20/2005 3:04:45 PM
so you're aware, a couple of hundred released their tickets yesterday, more todayjust like in the old system, people are getting their friends to request tickets to increase their probability....not all of these people actually want to go to the game...and w/ this system they are turning in those tickets
9/20/2005 3:06:41 PM
i sure as hell know I wouldn't release a ticket if I had extrasand how exactly is the lottery conducted?is the first one conducted based upon loyalty, or only the second?[Edited on September 20, 2005 at 3:12 PM. Reason : .]
9/20/2005 3:12:11 PM
neither is conducted on loyalty....
9/20/2005 3:12:41 PM
9/20/2005 3:14:07 PM
9/20/2005 3:28:38 PM
9/20/2005 3:30:39 PM
good grief man, you whine more than the carolina fans are going to when they lose to us on saturday.
9/20/2005 3:35:06 PM
^^wow, I actually agree with you on that second point (well about the groups of 100, keep the small groups)and the majority of the "fat asses who don't leave home" arent "snaking all the tickets". They are too lazy to actually go to the games, as that would require effort. What they may be doing however is requesting a ticket for a friend as a backup for that friend. But as Lee has said several times, when the friend actually wins a ticket those fat asses just cancel / don't claim the ticket. Hence the tickets for the second lottery and the on-demand period.[Edited on September 20, 2005 at 3:38 PM. Reason : damn u^]
9/20/2005 3:36:03 PM
I'm willing to bet that you didn't seriously consider rewarding people for constantly going to games. You know,So that if we lose to UNC and the bandwagon decides to skip the game afterwards, those of us who stick with the team would have a better chance at the next big game at CF.I guess its fitting irony that the Carolina let-me-get-trashed-and-worry-more-about-cell-phones crowd is going to be at the Carolina game.
9/20/2005 3:37:52 PM
^as has been said before, it was considered. Just wasn't thought to be a good idea for this first season it is in use. Maybe for next year. Hell, you see the kind of problems that people have with the system now and the points and crap. Not to mention the tech problems with the system itself. Imagine how it would be with extra stuff in there.
9/20/2005 3:40:12 PM
9/20/2005 3:43:50 PM
But them clicking on a link is the same as them giving their id to a person that wants to go and is willing to stand in line.the point remains that the people that didn't care to go before, don't care to go now. Its just too much work for them to go all the way out there. I know a lot of people who claim it is too difficult for them to log on and request a ticket. I'm like, "well good, you dont deserve one if you are that stupid."
9/20/2005 3:47:27 PM
i bet there was a influx of people getting vouchers compared to the past.
9/20/2005 3:55:09 PM
We should have a football rules/nc state athletics history quiz when you register for the ticketing site. That would give the people who scored higher better chances to get tickets
9/20/2005 3:58:50 PM
^^ my personal experience tends to disagree with you.Previous years, C-F had real football fans in the stadium that stuck it out no matter what till the end in hopes of a pack win.Now we have people that are already too drunk to spell football and girls wearing their sunday best walking up and down the student section. We also could hear the band. Nice bonus.
9/20/2005 4:00:57 PM
Are there any sort of #s available to us showing the average number of students who attained vouchers last year compared with this year so far. Remember that we were probably even more hyped for the team as a whole last year then this. It would be interesting to see...
9/20/2005 4:02:27 PM
^^yeah, good point. I just love the girls coming out there with there big sunglasses and high hills or cowboy boots. The past 2 games I've been to, the people around me were completely toasted and shouldn't have even been allowed in. They should have a damn breathalyzer at the gates and if you register over a certain point you should be turned away. Stadium would probably be empty but hey I'd rather that than have a bunch of drunks stumbling all over me making a fool of themselves
9/20/2005 4:15:42 PM
9/20/2005 4:36:13 PM
i dont understand how people complaining that they didnt get tickets expected a better shot at getting them in the pastalso everyone be sure to point out unc students using student tickets and get them kicked out of the game
9/20/2005 4:53:35 PM
they expected a NEW system to do things BETTER than the OLD system.such as reward loyalty and seniority.
9/20/2005 5:13:07 PM
