speaking of Hulk, did they just pretty much say fuck it on Ultimate Hulk vs. Wolverine?
5/4/2007 7:10:52 PM
^The fucker who wrote it (whom is also a writer for Lost) has been behind. So pretty much they're never going to finish it.
5/4/2007 7:32:22 PM
I'm following Silent War at the moment. It's the best comic I've read in a long, long time.Black Bolt is the man.
5/4/2007 7:41:49 PM
he's gonna be the first stop on hulk's hitlist tooi'm betting hulk wins
5/4/2007 8:44:38 PM
Yeah, well, Black Bolt's going to beat Sentry in Silent War #5.
5/4/2007 8:55:03 PM
Sentry is so generic. I wish they would kill him off.
5/4/2007 8:58:30 PM
Black Bolt just might. After Silent War #4, he's mad enough to.
5/4/2007 9:04:10 PM

5/4/2007 11:15:06 PM
Everyone should read the preface to Civil War: Battle Damage Report. I used this edition and Captain America: The Death of the Dream in a multigenre essay to support my thesis of the Superhuman Registration Act as a metaphor for the USA Patriot Act. PS: Sorry--I went a little bit college boy with that post.

The main spider-man series, Amazing Spider-Man, written by JMS has the next back in black issue coming out later this month.
5/8/2007 8:45:04 PM
if im not mistaken, ASM comes out tomorrow!
5/8/2007 11:51:01 PM
does anyone read the transformer comics? the dreamwave issues were very nice and im growing on the IDW ones, it seems like they try and stretch out the individual story lines though to make more comics and such, but the art and writing is done fairly well
5/9/2007 4:24:15 AM
So... who exactly is in the X-Men these days? I haven't read anything since shortly after Onslaught. I was in the comic store the other day and saw an issue with a very badass Cable on the cover. I still read Cable and Deadpool, and it looks like the next issue is going to have Cable leading the X-Men?
5/9/2007 8:06:37 AM
there are 2 or 3 teamsthat one you saw is Cable, Rogue, Iceman, Cannonball, Sabertooth, Lady Mastermind, and Omega Sentinel, i think
5/9/2007 8:42:42 AM
It was mostly a DC event, but Free Comic Book day was last Saturday. Some pretty decent comic books that you could get for free.Justice League America, Family Guy, Teen Titans, and Battlestar Galactica are the ones I picked up.Also picked up the latest All Star Superman #7. It has been an excellent series so far. Also got this one, though I am not sure if I will seek out this whole story.[Edited on May 9, 2007 at 12:52 PM. Reason : ]
5/9/2007 12:50:04 PM
superman has been pretty good with the latest story line except they keep delaying it and having retarded filler issues because they cant get the main story out on time.

http://www.heroesonline.com/con-guests.htmIt's one of the smaller ones around the country, but it's the biggest in the state. Decent amount of guests, a lot of people go for all the shops and their sales.

ok...
6/8/2007 9:16:18 AM
Man this thread has totally gone in the shitter. No one talks about comics any more...Anyone keeping up with World War Hulk?
6/8/2007 9:44:25 AM
Thread's gone to shit because it's one thread for a whole medium. Do you think anyone would post anything of worth in an "official music thread"? Nah. We have threads devoted to specific genres and artists, just like we should have threads devoted to specific comic genres and publishers and titles and such. A thread about Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane would entice me to post a lot more than "official comic book discussion," for instance.Big ol' monolithic threads like this just reinforce the insularity of comics fandom as perceived by outsiders. Can you imagine what this shit looks like to those folks? Fourteen pages of "comic book discussion"? We've got to tighten up the focus a little to actually generate interest and discussion.[Edited on June 8, 2007 at 10:10 AM. Reason : ...]
6/8/2007 10:05:47 AM
i wish I was into comics
6/8/2007 10:06:37 AM
All I knows is I want more Supreme Power and Squadron Supreme. I'm pissed that it's been phased out for god knows how long.
6/8/2007 11:18:15 AM
^Hell me too. My fav book at the moment. I was told that the Nighthawk v. Hyperion was supposed to fill the gap (and time) from the last SS book till when it resumes. Also they have that Ultimate Power thing going on as well so thats filling the gap. Now that Nighthawk v. Hyperion is over, it stands to reason that it will resume shortly (or shortly after Ultimate Power.
6/8/2007 2:20:13 PM
Well, I picked up the last few issues of X-Men simply because they tied in with Cable and Deadpool. I was extremely impressed with the art, and almost felt a moment of weakness calling me to get back into reading all of the X-titles like I used to. Unfortunately (or fortunately, as the case may be), the whole Red Data storyline with the Hecatomb was unexpectedly anticlimactic. Started out great, and then fizzed out. I was excited that Cable was going to get his full power back, but I should have known better. So what's going to be the plot with issue #300?Oh yeah, and whatever happened to Gambit?
6/8/2007 2:36:30 PM
im just reading alot out of habit right now. there isn't too much that is really exciting me. so far countdown has been good except for the fact that it seems like they are undoing everything that happened in crisis on infinite earths. i want to know what happens to kyle rayner and jason todd now
6/8/2007 7:27:05 PM
ultimate hulk vs. wolverine plz continue
6/8/2007 7:49:24 PM
"Do you work at a store?"It's a chain, not just a store, and it was more of a way of bumping a thread that has fallen off the first page while posting new comics. But I can stop posting new comics/sales/bump info if thats what people prefer.[Edited on June 8, 2007 at 10:01 PM. Reason : .]

I can say this: I liked Daredevil in Lowlife--a lot. And that whole series was awesome. I wasn't a big Daredevil fan growing up, either. Currently reading:Batman/Deathblow: After the Fire Wonder Woman: Land of the Dead
6/9/2007 1:23:47 AM
i should pick up the rest of the y the last man trades at the library...as far as ultimate hulk vs wolverine: the last issue of ultimates finally came out, so give it another 4 months or so and we'll see the next issue of hulk n wolvie
6/9/2007 3:06:55 AM
I liked the Endangered Specifies storyline so far. I’m considering getting the x-men tie-ins. It was focused on a simple yet deep concept of mortality. It’s nice to have a story that’s not all massive wars & alien empires once in a while. And its not the death of the kind of character thats likely to come back from dead.
7/3/2007 7:29:43 PM
Beast turning to the aid of evil ppl like Dr Doom & Mr Sinister & the High Evolutionary can only turn out well…
