Yeah, I was mad that that guy stole my check raise thunder.. Like I said, mega monkey tilt

Yesterday was nuts:
Session 1(3pm-430), -$550
Session 2(530pm-7), -$100
Session 3( 9pm-1030), +$300
Session 4(1230am-3), -$150

It was shortly after the hands I posted that I realized I had completely lost my mind, and I needed to stop playing.

justin, can you post some hands under your new found style that correlate to leading with suited connectors when you completely whiff?

your planning and standard moves would be very interesting to me

I don't like the call on the turn in winning hand #3. The rest are fine. A lot of them are textbook.

A lot of times I will call that with absolutely nothing, I realize it's not a proper call with just a baby flush draw.

I'm making that play with nothing because I don't think he has anything, he's just betting because I checked the flop. It's called "floating" someone, the idea is to take it away from him later in the hand.

Ok. I wasn't sure if you were making another shitty call on a draw like you did last hand of the page or if you had just planned to outplay him.

Yeah, pretty much exclusively 6-max now

A lot of these plays are read dependent btw.

For example, in hand 6 this villain had been all over me like white on rice, all up in my pots because he thinks I'm full of shit(I'm sure I gave him ample reason to think this). You may think that was a tough call on the river, but it was instant. That's the reason I checked to him, not because I was afraid of a jack, but to give him a chance to bluff at it. As it turns out, he had floated me twice with no hand/no draw and I got max value.

Hand 5 played out pretty much the exact same way. People start making crazy plays like this when you play like I do.

WAR NOIDROID

If you're wondering why I did that, it's because I recognized that turn bet of his. He's betting the scare card, I do that same shit. Luckily I had enough chips to pull off the bluff, if I had less I would have had to fold.

I'm guessing he had 99-JJ, maybe even total air. I showed great strength at every oppurtunity, so he pretty much has to put me on a big hand when I push.

If any of you guys are interested, Pokerstars has some jerseys on their FPP store for 1000, which is cheap compared to the Full Tilt Jerseys which are 25,000

In case anyone is interested

ok, have any of you guys found limit to profitable? i'm a regular at the 1/2 on stars, and i swear the variance is maddening. i can make $100 one night, then lose it the next and i haven't really changed anything. questions about my skill aside, it is really possible to have sustained success? i'm considering sticking only to NL sngs, cause NL cash games online scare the shit out of me

(points from a NL mega-donk, pilgrimshoes)

NoidRoid:

How often do you decide to make these plays with sc's or just pure garbage?

I find myself doing it too much, and then developing a wilder than gus hansen image, then in turn i often have to go to showdown with complete trash, which, has it's pros and cons.

getting back to a "selectively retarded" image is something ive been trying to get back to.

( i havent played the last two weeks, just been reading and thinking. prep work if you will, but scheduling hasnt worked out, and i dont play online anymore)

1.)

noidroid raises to $42
Loiosh calls $28
*** TURN *** [5h 6d Qc] [4c]
noidroid bets $45

what was your plan after the flop RR if you dont make? would your bet be more in relation to the pot size as opposed to just like 1/2 pot? and if you get repopped like here? give it up?

what was your plan after the flop RR if you dont make but pick up a heart? and if you get repopped like here? give it up, or call off with your (ideally) 19 out draw? (you'd be getting the odds to)

basically, im wondering with your RR you'll miss more often than you hit obv, how do you maintain the ability to keep strong when you miss? check folding the turn is a bad idea after the rr on the flop, and people will let you keep doing that all day long if they are observant.

nah, kinda like a master server, holding a colleciton of xml files, when updated, the other servers polling trips and copies the collection locally for local hosting of an aliasing program ive been working on for a speicifc software app. global implementation across the intranet over plants worldwide.

all done through other apps, little programming, but the apps have little to no documentation, and circumventing firewall issues and the fact im trying to use the program to do something it's not really specifically designed for is making it tough. having to change source code and the like.

going to houston next week will be a nice break.

calling up support and them patching me through to the lead dev. guy for this app was kinda interesting.

David - I dont do anything. Turner has shown me a way to consistently cash in SNG's and MTT's. I grind it out for life.

How's that for an answer?

Then when I lose, I bitch to Ben and Karim.

That's pretty much it.

xml, c++

never heard of webseal.

the firewalls are due to the fact that they are live production control systems for plants.

David - I recently quit my job, to take on another job. Right now I am negotiating with two companies who want me to come on board. I will be doing audit work in either situation.

My past day job was financial planning.

I play poker for relaxation and so I can post on this message board.

If you have other questions, please direct them towards my brother Karim, or my long lost cousin Ben.

Ben-

Since I was out of position I would have done one of two things if I missed: 1) Commit myself to the pot on the turn, probably an $80 bet giving me odds to call an all in. 2) Make a blocking bet for $40-$45 and fold to an all in. People will fold to these kind of bets sometimes(not this time obv) because they thing I'm reeling them in with a big hand, or because they don't have much and they were just calling the flop out of stubbornness. If he just calls that bet, I have an option to push the river if I misss again, or I may just give up.

Not really often, I've posted 17 hands on this page and at the end of the last one, and those are virtually all of my significant wins and losses since monday(out of 4000 played hands). Maybe that's too much. I try to pick my spots well, a lot of these hands were read dependent.

What do you do if you get reraised? I know that's a loaded question depending on the players, situation, number of people in the hand, etc.

How about this?

You are dealt hole cards [7C 8C].
One Limper, whom you have no read on at all (hasn't been at the table long).
You raise (on a $1/$2 table) to $8.
He reraises to $16.... $20.... $24.... $30....?
At what point do you lay down this hand (ie how big of a reraise does it take?)

In that example, I would call up to $16 additional(3x reraise) with 87s if we're both on a full buy-in and I have position. If villain only has half a buy-in, I'll only call if he like doubles my bet or min raises me.
