some sexy plays in therei dont have time now, but later tonight, i wanna go by them deeper, ask some questions, so dont wander off for days =)
11/9/2006 4:05:36 PM
I don't like the call on the turn in winning hand #3. The rest are fine. A lot of them are textbook.
11/9/2006 4:12:46 PM
A lot of times I will call that with absolutely nothing, I realize it's not a proper call with just a baby flush draw.I'm making that play with nothing because I don't think he has anything, he's just betting because I checked the flop. It's called "floating" someone, the idea is to take it away from him later in the hand.
11/9/2006 4:20:59 PM
Ok. I wasn't sure if you were making another shitty call on a draw like you did last hand of the page or if you had just planned to outplay him.[Edited on November 9, 2006 at 4:24 PM. Reason : Do you always play 6 max?]
11/9/2006 4:24:40 PM
Yeah, pretty much exclusively 6-max nowA lot of these plays are read dependent btw. For example, in hand 6 this villain had been all over me like white on rice, all up in my pots because he thinks I'm full of shit(I'm sure I gave him ample reason to think this). You may think that was a tough call on the river, but it was instant. That's the reason I checked to him, not because I was afraid of a jack, but to give him a chance to bluff at it. As it turns out, he had floated me twice with no hand/no draw and I got max value.Hand 5 played out pretty much the exact same way. People start making crazy plays like this when you play like I do.[Edited on November 9, 2006 at 4:46 PM. Reason : .]

11/10/2006 10:43:20 AM
nah, kinda like a master server, holding a colleciton of xml files, when updated, the other servers polling trips and copies the collection locally for local hosting of an aliasing program ive been working on for a speicifc software app. global implementation across the intranet over plants worldwide.all done through other apps, little programming, but the apps have little to no documentation, and circumventing firewall issues and the fact im trying to use the program to do something it's not really specifically designed for is making it tough. having to change source code and the like.going to houston next week will be a nice break.calling up support and them patching me through to the lead dev. guy for this app was kinda interesting.

11/10/2006 12:46:33 PM
You have got way too much of the jew face to lebanese.
11/10/2006 1:51:43 PM
Ben-Since I was out of position I would have done one of two things if I missed: 1) Commit myself to the pot on the turn, probably an $80 bet giving me odds to call an all in. 2) Make a blocking bet for $40-$45 and fold to an all in. People will fold to these kind of bets sometimes(not this time obv) because they thing I'm reeling them in with a big hand, or because they don't have much and they were just calling the flop out of stubbornness. If he just calls that bet, I have an option to push the river if I misss again, or I may just give up.
11/10/2006 2:28:39 PM
What do you do if you get reraised? I know that's a loaded question depending on the players, situation, number of people in the hand, etc. How about this? You are dealt hole cards [7C 8C].One Limper, whom you have no read on at all (hasn't been at the table long). You raise (on a $1/$2 table) to $8.He reraises to $16.... $20.... $24.... $30....?At what point do you lay down this hand (ie how big of a reraise does it take?)
11/10/2006 3:01:46 PM
In that example, I would call up to $16 additional(3x reraise) with 87s if we're both on a full buy-in and I have position. If villain only has half a buy-in, I'll only call if he like doubles my bet or min raises me.
